I got a rove r2 4k pro with a rear camera, and I love it. It’s currently on sale for 90 and it comes with a 128gb sd card.
The r2 4k, r2 4k pro and the r2 4k dual are three different specs. The dual is the newest specs. Works great love it but the pro isnt as good as the dual.
Beware of Fitcamx on my previous car; it slowly drained my battery over six months while the car was off. I have been using a [Rove R2-4k Pro](https://www.amazon.com/ROVE-R2-4K-PRO-Dashcam-Supports/dp/B0BZRKRBHP) since May in my MK 8.5, which can be hardwired into the Fuse box or connected to the 12V port, and haven't had any issues.
Yep that's what I use ...fairly easy to run the wire across the headliner....down the pillar....along the side of the dash....and behind the glove box! I've had it for over a year and no complaints.
I bought this last month - not necessarily the cheapest ROVE R2-4K PRO Dash Cam, Built-in... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZRKRBHP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Rove R2-4K Pro. Under $100. Love this camera. I think the Viofo is great too. Can’t go wrong with either.
I’ve been running a Rove R2-4K Pro. Love it.
Low $100 should do the job. ROVE R2-4K Pro or REDTIGER 4K. I have both on different cars. Clear pics. On my ID4, I used Fuse #52. This is the rear trunk cigarette lighter power. Internet pic shows this #52 as one long Fuse, but it is not. It has two setup option, connect to the upper slot of #52, you will get power only when the car is On. I chose the upper slot setup. Lower slot of #52, then power is always On. YouTube has severals clips that show how to run and hide the cable. Be careful with the rectangular panel next to the door. You have to slide it to the side before pull out so you don't break it. One YouTube guy shows this briefly. It took 30-45 minutes to install front dashcam. I don't install the rear.
Hardwired in a Rove 4K pro and now upgraded to the dual camera 4K model. Old one will go in my truck next time it's warm enough outside to install it.
If you’re swapping cars every week, you want a suction-mount cam with good Wi-Fi and a decent app. The ROVE R2-4K Pro is probably the best fit for what you want — true 4K, suction cup mount, easy phone downloads, and no permanent install needed. It’s basically made for people who move cars often. If you want front + rear, the ROVE R2-4K Dual is also solid and still easy to move between vehicles. Both sit comfortably in your budget, have reliable apps, and don’t require hardwiring. Stick with suction mount + cigarette lighter power and you’ll be able to swap cars in a couple of minutes without hassle.
