I got a rove r2 4k pro with a rear camera, and I love it. It’s currently on sale for 90 and it comes with a 128gb sd card.

The r2 4k, r2 4k pro and the r2 4k dual are three different specs. The dual is the newest specs. Works great love it but the pro isnt as good as the dual.

Beware of Fitcamx on my previous car; it slowly drained my battery over six months while the car was off. I have been using a [Rove R2-4k Pro](https://www.amazon.com/ROVE-R2-4K-PRO-Dashcam-Supports/dp/B0BZRKRBHP) since May in my MK 8.5, which can be hardwired into the Fuse box or connected to the 12V port, and haven't had any issues.

Yep that's what I use ...fairly easy to run the wire across the headliner....down the pillar....along the side of the dash....and behind the glove box! I've had it for over a year and no complaints.

Rove R2-4K Pro. Under $100. Love this camera. I think the Viofo is great too. Can’t go wrong with either.

Low $100 should do the job. ROVE R2-4K Pro or REDTIGER 4K. I have both on different cars. Clear pics. On my ID4, I used Fuse #52. This is the rear trunk cigarette lighter power. Internet pic shows this #52 as one long Fuse, but it is not. It has two setup option, connect to the upper slot of #52, you will get power only when the car is On. I chose the upper slot setup. Lower slot of #52, then power is always On. YouTube has severals clips that show how to run and hide the cable. Be careful with the rectangular panel next to the door. You have to slide it to the side before pull out so you don't break it. One YouTube guy shows this briefly. It took 30-45 minutes to install front dashcam. I don't install the rear.

I have a 2023 HR-V and got a a Rove 4K Pro under $100 on Amazon. Oh but, comes without storage so I got the max size for this dashcam, SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card 512gb around $60 US. I didn't feel like running wires ...and didn't feel the need for parking mode operation (wiring to fusebox where power is avail when not running), especially since the Honda battery is small..if I change my mind I would use a separate power pack. Chose one with no rear view, and Bought a (super high quality) Anker USB A to USB C Cable, Charger Cord 6 ft, letting the cord dangle straight down from its near-mirror windshield mount position, wrapped a couple loops of excess charger cord around the cool center console then plugged into one of the two charging ports on my HR-V. (I need the closer/3rd one with DATA for my phone and Android Auto.) You might find that ugly, but I don't. The Rove comes with a (useless for us) cable+thing requiring cigarette lighter power, and warns about using high power USB-C sources (NOT a concern for you. I researched specs of camera and HR-V USB power but forgot details, amps/watts.) Setup: I disabled the vehicle SPEED reporting/recording function (allows you to simply not show MPH in the saved videos) after pondering the wisdom of that. If it were my kid's car I would not disable..

I have one of these: https://amzn.to/4juNUv5 You'll also need a durable MicroSD card for the video to record to: https://amzn.to/4juNUv5 Keep in mind you need to replace the SD card every 3-5 years. They can only handle so many read/write cycles before they degrade. You can download stuff straight to your phone. It's just powered by USB. If you can charge your phone, you can power a dash cam.

I use the Rove R2 4K Pro camera and have it mounted to the stock of the rearview mirror using a different mount. I hid the cords under the window trim and connected it to the port on the center console. Works great and never have to fiddle around with it. 🌞

I have the Rove 2, front channel only, and I like it. It will record 10-minute loops, it can be hard-wired or run off USB, and it works well. Rove also has really good tech support. I had an issue with one of my 2 cameras and they replaced it, no questions asked. Just sent me a new one and had me send the faulty one back.

10 minutes is the longest loop. Otherwise, it is record until the end of storage and then it stops.

I have a Rove 4k in my truck. I was able to get an accessory plug so it is powered off the rear view mirror; no running of wires. I got the Ford Thinkware dashcam for my wife's Ranger. It wires directly into OBD for continuous power which my Rove doesn't have. However Ford sells an older Thinkware that doesn't have wireless access..... Huge disappointment. There's nothing fancy about the Rove but it wasn't super expensive either

I use the ROVE R2-4K. It's a basic one camera dashcam, but has pretty good resolution. I like that it's easy to stick on the window and take off.

I have a Rove 4K dash cam in my 2013 Highlander and it works really well. I have a FitCamX in my 2020 Corolla hybrid and it works well but it doesn’t have the screen and some of the other bells and whistles of the Rove. I like that the fitcam looks factory but if you’re wanting something with a little bit more bells and whistles the Rove is nice

Yeah, half of these don't connect to WiFi (customer reporting), won't stay on, can't download unless near cam, won't power on, etc. When the reviews of negatives outweighs the positives, I'd be leery of just throwing brands out there... (Walmart? really?) Always do your own home work. I did a google search and looked at all these 'brands' (Especially the Rove R2 and RedTiger)... Just do the research, there is a lot of 'crap' out there. One way to tell; Do the housing on various models all look alike (same batch manufacturer)?

I had an issue with my Viofo not saving clips. I had an accident that it didn't capture and of course the other person lied. Took 7 months of arbitration. I got a Rove 4k instead and it's great!

I'll piggy back off what someone else said. Rove R2. Me and the wife both have them in our cars. We like them ALOT! It's like $120 bucks on Amazon, they basically do everything else the competition does. We also bought a generic mirror stem adapter for them. We have it clamped around the rear view mirror. It's flawless. Basically a set it up and leave it situation. Since our 12v plug ins are keyed to power we never have to touch it

I have the rove 4K dash cam, mine is only forward facing but you can buy a rear one as well. It saved me in January when I had a Subaru run the a red and turn into my lane. I like the app only hard part sometimes is connecting the wifi. Other then that it does the job

Rove 4k for $99 and it really shoots in 4k. License plates are easy to read and night filming is really good too. I have 2. One for the front and one for the rear.

I have 2 Rove 4K Dashcams. At one point, I would leave my portable battery bank in the car to provide the camera power via USB at night because there were some thefts going on. I eventually stopped because the front camera basically ran 24/7 so it would eventually burn out because this camera when powered on will do continuous recordings.

I've got rove cams front and rear in my truck and my wife's. Power is tapped from the mirror in both with the mentioned adapter. Auto on and off with the ignition and couldn't be happier.

Sure thing. The rove brand has an app and an SD card in the cam. You can get on the app and download footage to your phone - that was a hot seller for me.
