Viofo for the win. I have the a229 plus 3 channel. I like the a229 more than the a119 because you can transfer and watch your dashcam through WiFi/app, don’t have to remove sd card. But if you just need the basics id just get the a119

In my truck we are running the Wolfbox G900 Pro 2-ch, Viofo A119 Mini 2 in back, and Vantrue E1 Pro in front. In my car we are running the Wolfbox G900 Pro 2-ch, and Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch. Waiting to install the 70mai 4K Omni X800 just not sure where LOL.

I own the 70mai A810 2-ch and Viofo A229 Plus 3-ch. When it comes to the 70mai A810, I am not a fan of its front cameras 4K @ 25 FPS (frames per second) when in 2-ch mode with rear camera connected. And it has a physical battery instead of a supercapacitor. I stopped using it mainly due to the 25 FPS as in many scenes the video is just too jittery looking during playback. As for the A229 Plus. It records at 2K up to 60 FPS front and rear when HDR is disabled, or 30 FPS F&R when HDR is enabled. Also incorporates a supercapacitor. Been using it since Aug 2024 having zero issues/complaints to-date. P.S. I'm not here to dis 70mai as I own several of their dash cams feeling they've all been pretty decent, for the price... Over the past year and some 70mai has made some welcome improvements to their more recent dash cams like equipping them w/supercapacitors. Viofo isn't perfect either yet feel they are your best option here when considering these two model/brands.

I suggest you check out some reviews on both of them to make a more informative decision on which one would suit you best. I own a few Viofo's including the A229 Plus 3-ch. The brand has been very good to me over the years in terms of reliability. The A229 Plus records 2K front & rear, 1080p interior. For my type of usage, 2K is more than ample. I also own several 70mai dash cams some older some newer... The older 70mai models had physical batteries whilst those produced in the last year and some are equipped with super-capacitors. Yes a capacitor equipped dash cam is preferred. Either way, this brand has been very good to me as well. P.S. I do not own the 70mai M800 (released in Aug 2025) so can't honestly comment on it worth. But I do have the 4K Omni X800, a 360° camera of sorts which was released in May of this year, and it's great!.

I'm assuming the 200 is USD? If so then I'd recommend the Viofo A229 Plus 3-channel which is on-sale on Amazon right now for $209.99 USD. It records true 2K front and back while the interior camera records at 1080p. I purchased the same back in Aug 2024 (in Canada though) and it has been rock solid for me. I've owned several Viofo's over the years never having an ounce of problems with any of them during hot and cold spells.

Me and my co-worker have had great luck using the DDPAI Mini Pro (no longer available) for the past nearly 25 months. One is in my work truck and the other two in his car & pickup. Hard to complain considering the initial purchase price(s) were $40 CAD. Decent enough video quality IMO for what it is. I was contemplating trying one of their newer models but I already too many good dash cam than I know what to do with... Been using dash cams since 2010 having very little issues with any of them. At present my personal vehicles are equipped as follows... Pickup - Wolfbox G900 Pro front & rear, Vantrue E1 Pro front, Viofo A119M Pro rear, and soon-to-be-installed Vantrue E360 ACE front, inside, rear. SUV - Viofo A229 Plus triple channel, Vantrue E1 Pro.

I use an A119 Mini 2 in my pickup as a rear camera being quite happy with it. As for performing in no-light / low-light situations. I don't know of ANY dash cam that will perform well under those conditions other than an interior camera with infrared lights, like the third camera on my Viofo A229 Plus 3-channel. These infrared equipped cameras won't work well facing glass, have a limited range, and aren't usually water resistant/proof. So unless you install some sort of auxiliary rear lighting on your vehicle the results are going to be as expected with most any dash cam. Not good in near zero light situations.

3CH means a 3 cam setup and for A229 Plus it is Front + Rear + Interior. MSRP for the A229 Plus 3CH is 1029.99 AED. The 2CH retails for 899.99 AED but it’s out of stock currently on Amazon which is why the higher priced listing is showing up. I’d suggest opting for the 3CH as you’re paying retail price plus you get the extra cam coverage. Feel free to DM for any questions.

Upon doing some quick research it seems like 70mai only has the Sony Starvis 2 sensor for the front cam so you’ll have a significant drop in quality with the rear non-Starvis 2 1080p cam especially during night time. Also, a lithium ion powered dash-cam is never a good choice in hot climate. The DDPAI doesn’t even have a Sony image sensor so you’ll compromise a lot in footage quality. Have a look at the VIOFO A229 Plus (899.99) or if you can up the budget a tad bit - the A229 Pro (1099.99) and you get dual Sony Starvis 2 for both front and back cams, 24 month warranty, a supercapacitor (which is much much safer), HDR, Auto event detection and some of the best reviewed dashcam models in the market. We’ve also soft launched our home installation service add on so it’s a seamless experience all round.

Been using a Viofo 3 channel DashCam with anti glare filter for last 5 years! It’s the best out there if budget isn’t the constraint. Works flawlessly. If you are interested, I’ll put you on to the master India franchisee/dealer for India.

Parking mode is not a security system, people buy a dashcam thinking it is a security system that keeps surveillance 24/7. Don't buy a dashcam with that expectation. You should use the cut out at the highest voltage, and I would recommend using a timer too for probably no more than 1hr. With that said, I have the 3ch A229 from Viofo. Has worked well on my CX-90.

It was pretty straightforward, I didn't remove the panels, I didn't want to break a bunch of clips. I did remove the drivers door lower trim piece and the panel where the fuse box is I believe, but may be confusing my other car. I just slipped the cables behind the plastics/headliner. I think I went high over the doors not low. I had probably 2' of extra cable that is just rolled up in the sidewall/headliner in the cargo area. It was too hot and humid, summer in Texas, so I didn't want to fuss with trying to fish the rear cable through the two existing weather proof looms for the wiring harnesses to the rear hatch. That would likely be the preferred way, but would be more difficult as there is limited room. You could use a long zip tie or small fish tape maybe for a cleaner more professional finish. I just cut a very small slit in the headliner near the middle. Big enough to clear the rubber weather stripping. Do not to cut the weather stripping! This allows for the wire to go from the headliner to the rear hatch. I have maybe 3" of cable exposed to allow the hatch to open fully and articulate without putting tension on the camera. I know some might frown on this, in that it could interfere with the airbags deploying, but I am confident the loose wire is no match for the power and strength of the airbags during deployment. The clips on the plastics covering the airbags are stronger.

Drivers side (left). The front camera is on the driver's side, next to the center sensor box (rear view mirror) area. The main body of the camera is on the window where the privacy dots are, but the camera lens is just below the dots for a clear unobstructed view. It keeps everything out of the way, and gives the camera the highest clearest view.

I just picked up the Viofo A229 3ch for under $250. 4k front, 2k rear, FHD interior
