"And I installed it myself too, which is saying something. I'm not the best at DIY projects...."
"I’m not a car guy and I installed it all myself; was pretty easy."
"very nice and sleek ... It hides well on the front and rear window"

"Last month got rear ended by person on the phone. ... I downloaded the event clip from the mobile app and was able to show the video to the police on the spot. ... The other driver got a ticket for using the phone."
"automatically connect to your phone"
"I have no issues with the app personally. ... They have made some large strides with it in the last couple of years. ... The main issue I had with it previously was it was a bit slow and clunky. That has since improved considerably. ... You can get straight into your camera and do the business of reviewing and downloading footage quickly and ignore the rest of the app if you want."

"The app. It's a complete pain in the ass to view any footage ... it won't update the firmware because the dashcam connects to my phone via wifi and if it's connected via wifi, there's not any actual Internet access from the cellular signal so it can never update 🤣 what a joke."
"The app is bunk."
"it was a bit slow and clunky."

"the footage only lasts for 24hrs so if I don’t download it that day it’s gone forever"
"it records in minute increments, which makes viewing footage a pain. ... There are an enormous number of files associated with a day of driving."

"And my second one is the 900X which is prone to overheating."
ive my my Blackvue DR900X Dual Channel (front and rear) for almost 3 years now its great, has a great picture, plus its small and doesn't stick out much hindering your view, but they are pricey, i got mine for 200 off the price with end of year sales
r/australia • Best dashcam available in AU that isn't super expensive ->I’ve installed Blackvue cams (2Ch) in all of my cars. All were easily hidden behind the rearview except the 2024 model Toyota that has a lot more features that fit in the space behind the mirror. For that car, the camera sits a little below the mirror and is not completely tucked out of view.
r/Dashcam • Best discreet dash cam w/o a screen ->I got Audi dashcam from CPO it was terrible. 1080p quality, who use 1080p anymore its unusable during night time, and the process to save the video was also terrible. Then i move to blackvue something, now its 4k, automatically connect to your phone, and easier to save the file
r/Audi • Dashcams - Audi's or Aftermarket? ->I have a Blackvue front/rear. Solid units and they stand up to the nasty summer heat here.
r/Miata • Dashcam for ND Miatas question.... ->I’ve been running a BlackVue DR900X‑2CH for over a year and it’s been rock solid. The front 4K sensor picks up plates at night and the rear 1080p lens covers everything behind me.
r/dashcams • Best Dashcam? ->Blackboxmycar.com and Vortex Radar on YouTube do amazing reviews and comparisons. I have a Blackvue 2 channel in my wagon and just put a Viofo A329s 3 channel in my new daily. Dual mode hybrid parking recording and lots of nice features on the viofo. Though I prefer the form factor of the blackvue.
r/askcarguys • Best dash cams in 2025? Need recommendations for my first one ->I have had a Blackvue 900X in my 2022 ORP and love it. Rear view came in handy a few months ago. Check my post history in r/dashcams.
r/4Runner • Front and rear dash cam suggestions! ->I have a BlackVue 2 channel system in my 2017 [*trim level redacted so Shamy Shamerson doesn’t call me out, too*].
r/hondaridgeline • Updated list of the best dash cams ->A little out of your price range but 70mai A810 is really good. I have it on most of my cars. I have a couple of A800s, which are pretty good (and closer to your budget) and a BlackVue 900s and 900x. BlackVue cameras are good quality but the app is so bad. I’m considering replacing both my BlackVue with the upcoming 70mai T800 camera (they are having a Kickstarter now - launches in August 2025)
r/kereta • Best dashcam? ->I like Blackvue 4K front and back cameras.
r/Lexus • Aftermarket Dash Cam ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
