Also ride the Niu kqi3 pro, but at around 7,000km, its battery degradation is making me use it less now. City pro’s 21700 cells seem pretty resilient to degradation. Also my Nami Klima Max (odo: 1000km) requires more maintenance than City Pro by quite a margin.

Out of all the research my ADHD brain did for weeks... Nami Kima was by far the best of the best unless I went with a Burn-E You have Kaabo scooters but they've been known to have lots of issues. I went with an electric unicycle and am super happy. Much safer. I went from 25mph to 50mph, triple the range and most don't know how to ride it.

PLEASE dont buy a cheap chinese ass scooter, buy a used dualtron thunder one or eagle pro or smth, or a lower end kaabo scooter or a nami klima or smth, buy one of those for like 700-1000$, then spend 100 on a good lock and 150 or so on a good helmet, they will all get great range

Brand in general, I’d go with Segway and Nami. With Segway being the de facto champ, but I like Nami because of how easily I can order parts from either Ali express, or Facebook. Tech wise Segway got it. I’d give like 4 scooters a 10/10; Nami Klima (burn e is awesome but I think the Klima encompasses what I think the ideal fast scooter should be, without being as enormous as its big brother) Segway GT3 pro. I mean other than maybe a bigger battery, that scooter has all the bells and whistles for the average person Teverun Fighter supreme ultra (not the 7260r). Fat ass battery in a 11 inch scooter. Doesn’t get better than that. I’m sure if this model has it, but some have their own security system built in (key fob alarm) not sure if the wheels lock up like with the GT3 pro. Segway max G2 (maybe the G3 but time will tell) that scooter is a tank, nuff said. At the end of the day, the more mechanically inclined you are, the less stuff like ratings matter. As long as it has parts available, and a relatively easy to work with system, you’ll be golden.

The turn signal thing is odd… but the best scooter I think you can get for 40mph is the Nami Klima (or the Nami Klima Max if you want more range.) it’s about 2k and it has some of the fastest acceleration, beating out scooters twice the price. You’re giving up top speed for insane low end torque and acceleration but since 40mph is ok for you, than this is the perfect scooter. You have to cancel the turn signals yourself and most scooters are like that. Some scooters have a time limit to turn off, I don’t know of any turn signal that detects you’re leaning into a turn and turns off that way… You’re also never going to use the turn signal… I constantly forget to turn mine on. That’s just my two cents. Edit: also not to mention that even though you don’t care about portability or weight, this scooter is still only 79lbs. This is nice for a nimble riding experience, as well as nice for the occasional lifting.

Yeah I thought speed wasn't going to be much for me as I wanted better acceleration. After owning a Nami Super Stellar, which is a mini Klima, I can see how/why people want to go 50-60mph. It makes a huge difference when you're on a really stable platform with really good suspension. You won't be phased going 40mph on the Klima because of how smooth and comfortable it is with the adjustable KKE hydraulic suspension. 40mph is definitely enough speed, and even with that being said, I rarely travel at my 35mph top speed just because it isn't necessary most of the time. It's not that its scary, these scooters are incredibly stable, even going downhill at 42mph. I would definitely go for the Klima, save yourself about 2k and you wont be disappointed. But personally I'd spend the extra \~$300 and go for the Klima Max, just so you can get that extra boost in range since your budget is 4k anyway. Also as batteries drain, you get less performance, so you'll get more performance for longer with the 30Ah battery, versus the 25Ah in the base model.

I saw someone mention Nami, and I completely agree. I love my Nami, and I love not having to connect an app even just to record my trip, or the miles of the scooter. You can just use the app to set the scooter up, and then never use it again. However… With my old NIU scooter, there were features that you just wouldn’t be able to use without the app. For example, the most important feature (to me) that I think blows that it requires the app. The electronic locking.. I would be able to hold the power button on the scooter for 5 seconds and it would lock the scooter so if anyone tried to move it the E-brake would engage, and it would start beeping. I used this in conjunction with a physical lock. But without your phone, you wouldn’t be able to unlock the scooter again. Some other more useless features that maybe you might care about would be scooter mileage, trip miles, or a battery percentage. Most low-end commuters don’t tell you the percentage on the screen, just bars or dots representing 10-20%. So if you want to know the specific percent, you have to use the app. I don’t know how much you care about any of those features, but it’s worth mentioning.

Perfect Scooter does exist and it’s called the Nami Klima ! A Nami Stellar or Super Stellar sounds though like it is more up your alley as far as weight size etc! My spouse has the Super Stellar and it rides like an absolute dream! I have a Klima, but would love a Burn E 3. It’s like gliding on a cloud, you can literally ride it with similar physics and mechanics of skiing or snowboarding. Incredible piece of engineering! If you want speed and agility that’s super light I’d give the Apollo Go a Go! Probably the closest you will get!

Came here to say this! Yeah the Nami Stellar or Super Stellar are great options! My spouse rides along with me on my Klima and it keeps up just fine with it! It’s quick comfortable and noticeably more compact compared to the Klima!
