I wouldn’t get this machine or breville/sage machines. I had sage barista pro and it’s group head leaked water, apparently its screws lose and I opened it up put some lock tide, it worked for a while but it did it again, I sold it for a very low price just to get rid of it. It is an appliance not a machine, it will break eventually. I got a Profitec Jump amd Eureka perfetto grinder, it was sold as a pair with discount. I realized the how high quality can a machine could be. For a lower price, I would get Profited Go and a eureka grinder (or other decent grinder) usually it is sold as paired with a nice discount. You would thank me later.

This may be true on old HX machines, but there are a number of PID controlled modern HX machines like the Profitec Jump that maintain very consistent pressure.

I just was in this price range ($2k) and just got the Profitec Jump. Loving it so far, build quality is exceptional, lots of controls, (and I bought the model with flow control pre installed).

I got the Jump recently and for someone who makes a mix of espresso /americano and milk drinks, it’s been perfect. I believe the Jump is the newer joy stick version of the 400. Love the joysticks. Either way you go, I think you’ll be happy with the Profitec build quality

Profitec Jump with flow control, about $2,200 and checks all the boxes, almost, does not have rotary pump.

Enjoy! I just upgraded from my Gemilai owl to a Profitec jump. It served us well for the past year.

For 3-6 milk drinks in a row, absolutely go for the HX… that would be a massive chore on a single boiler

Given your drink preferences and number of drinks you will be making, it seems a no brainer to me. Get the HX. The $125 price difference is almost nothing when you consider how much you will spend on beans in a year. I think you may be frustrated making back to back milk drinks with the Go. It’s doable, but if you can save yourself the frustration for a mere $125, that’s definitely what I would do.

Sorry…I see now the price difference. I still think you would be happier with the HX machine. The Go is fantastic, but I bet you would be second guessing yourself after a week or two. I only make milk drinks for myself, one at a time, which works great. But when I occasionally have guests over it’s doable, but keeps me from my guests since I am so focused on my workflow for what seems like forever.

HX workflow will be way better. I’ve had an HX for 6+ years and make 3-4 milk drinks daily.

I picked up an LP from 1996 for $400 and now I use it way more than my $2k Profitec.
