"Don't get Samsung Galaxy watch if you want to connect with H365. ... The step sync with H365 is always less by atleast ~1000 steps. ... Doesn't sync sleep hrs and MVPA at all. ... I'm losing the points because of this. ... I tried to change some settings from online reviews and also tried reconnecting with app/watch etc. Still same. ... Checked with both Samsung and H365 customer service. Both useless and don't have a solution for this. Both sides blaming the other for this issue. ... I can't return the watch because the 14 day return period is over. I don't like it but still using because no choice. ... My previous apple watch and Garmin was great. Everything sync perfectly."

"GWU is probably one of the better WearOS watches for exercise tracking, and it still sucks. ... Right now I wear the GWU most of the time and a Garmin Fenix 7x for exercise."

"Galaxy watches don't play nice with Strava. ... I lost data several times & it would stop talking to Strava and I'd have to reset it. ... I had repeated problems, and when I googled the specifics, there seemed to be quite a few people who had had the same problems."

"The Watch 4 and 5 series used the same CPU (W920). It's showing it's age, and it's pretty slow."

Watches arent designed to be upgraded every year - there's very little difference from the model 5 years ago to the latest one. If you're going from FE to Ultra then yeah, but you'll notice a bigger difference going from say a watch 7 FE to a watch 7 ultra than you will going from a watch 5 FE to a watch 7 FE (if it exists, but you get my gist) Samsung used to have a "comparison" page where you could compare one model to another. See if that's still there, and see if there's anything you REALLY care about that justifies the cost. The main difference with watch generations is "how long is it supported" , but again, unlike phones, that rarely means you'll get new features. If your watch works, then keep it. You'll likely be dissapointed with the improvements compared to the cost difference. I went from a Gear Watch 3 classic to a watch4 classic and felt like there was zero difference, then from a watch4 to a watch7 ultra and the only difference I notice is the screen size. Its a watch. I dont spend hours looking at it. I dont run high-load apps on it. Its a watch. If I had made either of those upgrades at retail cost I woukd be gutted and feel ripped off. Headphones , however, can be noticeably different. Depending on your appreciation of music, what you listen to, how you listen to it, etc. If you havent got a tuned-ear, only listen to highly-processed pop or country, and use Spotify- then buds pro are probably also not worth the upgrade. But still more worth it than a minor watch upgrade.

I'm using it to track my runs, switch from the Galaxy Watch 4 classic. I had the 42mm model, this one is 46mm, I quite like the slightly bigger form factor though. It's not disturbing or anything like that. Pro: \- GPS is way better, on the same track, the Samsung "lost" about 100m after each lap \- battery life is a no brainer for the OP3 \- no (Samsung) bloat, NO BIXBY, no proprietrary payment system you need to work around \- it also seems to be more strict on the sleep quality calculation, body energy level measurement (which I think is sort of BS anyway, but Garmin has it as well) \- tracking a hike session will not drain the watch in just 2 hours (like wtf Samsung?) \- I also like the NFC chip placement, it's on the upper part of the watch, so you don't have to twist your hand to pay (if worn on the left hand, ofc) \- I also like that Google Wallet doesn't enforce the screen lock, with the Samsung I had to apply screen lock, just for installing Wallet, and on top of that, it barely worked Con: \- Samsung's watch manager app is way better \- no rotating bezel (just a functional, rotating crown) Another weird thing is that Google Fit on the watch usually counts more steps than the OHealth app.

I definetely feel the advantages of that slightly bigger size. It uses GBoard and is fairly easy to write short messages on it (albeit I rarely do it), I like it better than the GW4 (but this again comes down to the superior performance and larger screen).

I'd say go for the OnePlus Watch 3, it has Garmin-like battery life with all the WearOS goodies. edit: the OHealth app also provides a lot of stats for my runs, but the watch in general is a bit more strict when it scores your sleep or calculates the burned calories, etc. I had a GW4 classic, compared to that the calorie consumption for the same workout is always less by a good 10-20% (not sure which is more accurate)

No issues or complaints here but then again I only compare it to my GW4C and pixel has been more accurate. I don't get super nerdy or care about GPS being a little off like some do. Good news is the ps4 is supposed to have a better gps.

I use a pixel 7 phone with a Samsung Galaxy 4 classic.  I had the same requirements as you and upgraded from a Fitbit. I wish that it wasn't so Samsungy, but it doesn't get in the way and does all that you describe. I have been very happy with the purchase.

I use a Samsung Galaxy 4 Classic. I've had it for a couple of years. It replaced a fitbit, the one that looked more like a watch.  I do not have a Samsung phone.  Pros:  it looks like a watch. I got a metal band and it really could pass for a real watch.  It's snappy and useful. Voice commands work.  Notifications are good. Dial is useful for volume control.  Battery life is good. One day. Beyond that it's questionable. I once forgot my charger and got almost 2 days on it by running it as only a watch.  Cons: Wallet requires a code to unlock which I don't like. So I don't use it.  It's a Samsung and I don't have a Samsung phone, so I miss some nice to haves.  It won't stay on apps and goes back to the home screen. Annoying when I'm working out and it doesn't stay on my fitness screen. Seems kind of dumb.  Overall I'm very pleased.

Yes is the 46mm and wrist diameter is 18cm. I use it for notifications, sleep tracking, gym workout tracking and just as a regular watch replacement I guess. Had galaxy watch 4 classic before for the last 4 years and charging it daily was good enough for all of those things (didn't sleep track with that one) but this is better in all aspects while looking much nicer.

For fitness aspect I recommend u to watch his vedio and then form factor ui is on indivual discussion for me it was fitness and I got it watch 4.for 8.5k the classic model then depends on the device u use which brand it is for the 'ecosystem' it pairs nicely with my s24 so my reason was that rest is secondary for me

(reupload because the text dissapeared) [My galaxy watch classic 4](https://preview.redd.it/qzi4q1uf3c0f1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6cf9465efee5b9455657c1d08dd9adfc8eebd929) I've been using the Galaxy watch 4 classic for a while, but I'm starting to have some issues and am looking for advice to find a suitable upgrade. My main issues with my current watch are: * The battery life: i only get 1-2 days of battery life, and the charging is really slow. (It takes two hours!) * The processor: it feels slow and unresponsive, animations are lagging (I'm using pujie watch faces) Anyway, I've been trying to find a suitable replacement, but i find the current market confusing. These are the watches I've been considering: * galaxy watch ultra (good processor, but bad battery?) * huawei gt5 pro (very good battery, seems to good to be true. No Google play and Thus no pujie?) * OnePlus watch 3 (I've got a OnePlus phone, so compatibility should be great, don't know about processor speed or battery life) * some Garmin watch? (They have great battery life i think, but i want an OLED screen i think) So my question is, which watch would you recommend? TLDR; I'm looking for a smart watch with good battery life and processor speed, any advice is greatly appreciated

Yep I've been thinking about getting rid of it and just replacing the battery in my 4 classic. Hopefully they release a classic version of the 8.
