"Battery lasts for, i kid you not, like 6-10 months."
"Battery life is great."
"The HyperX Cloud 3s have insane battery life ... With the battery lasting so long, concerns about it dying have been pretty nonexistent. When turning it on, a voice will notify you if the battery is low. That usually means you can still get one or two gaming sessions in before needing to charge."

"the Cloud II's microphone sounded the best, the clearer on every single audio device I've tested. I'm still recovering from that one to be honest. It was a surprise that went against everything I've seen on reviews so I'd like to really underline that one because most people thing the Cloud II microphone isn't good. Well, these are the HP version so maybe the reworked HP version actually improved the microphone. ... It's one of the best microphones i've used. Your voice sounds crisp and clear even if you're speaking lower."
"awesome mic monitoring (which is important to me since I hate the muffled sound of my voice when talking with over ear headphones)"
"They have an outstanding microphone, one of the best I’ve heard"

"The pinpoint accuracy is insane. I played Valorant on PS5, xDefiant and Warzone. ... This was more noticeable on Valorant as it is a more sound dependent game. You won't miss anything with these. I started to watch out at angles I wouldn't watch with the others because some audio cue made me suspect a door and ... it was 100% right all the time. I could tell where they were with excellent accuracy, both horizontal and vertical."
"Cloud II are the louder headset I've tried connected via 3.5mm to a DualSense controller. ... And they are not just louder, they're also extremely crystal clear probably because of the 53mm drivers. I could feel everything, even just reloading a gun, I could hear all those metal parts moving. This was not even noticeable in any of the other headsets."
"They are very well tuned so u don’t need anything. ... I use them without any additional software and it works perfectly for CS2."

"Unexpensive, competes with headsets twice it's price. ... I don't regret the Cloud II, they're the best headset for the price range and it beats many headsets twice it's price"
"for their price, they are incredibly good."
"not over expensive, arround 100 a 120."

"I honestly don't think the Cloud 3 are worth the extra money. ... sacrifice the overall sound quality to hear an extra footstep or two. ... Even in that scenario the Cloud II wins, it's the most used headset in FPS eSports."
"concluded that they all have terrible sound quality"
"audio quality is worse than with the mmx"

"Mine only lasted a year almost to the dot on all 3."
"Then after a year or two the battery kicks the bucket. ... Not with the hyper x’s or most other wireless headsets."
"the padding on my Hyperx cloud mix are dying"

"STAY AWAY from anything DTS related‼️Especially drivers and DO NOT install DTS app - it will destroy any FPS gaming performance. ... I did the mistake couple days ago, thinking they fixed the driver/latency/distortion issues and ohh boy was I wrong! Tried everything to get rid of those, but eventually had to completely wipe out the system and start with fresh windows install."
"The tradeoff on all of this are the same: buggy apps"

"if you don't have audio playing for a while (say, 10-15 minutes plus) it probably won't resume any playback until you either turn it off and on, or change output device and change it back. ... Twice I've had that issue, HyperX technical team has been able to reproduce it, and quite a few people on /r/HyperX complaining about it"
Would go for hyper x cloud wireless, its good sound good mic and not over expensive, arround 100 a 120.
r/buildapc • Whats the Best Gaming Headset to Buy Right Now? ->Depents with what you compare, i cant complain i hear the footsteps loud and clear in a fps. Also music sounds good. Maybe it depent on wich one, i have one of the latest cloud 3.
r/buildapc • Whats the Best Gaming Headset to Buy Right Now? ->Yes, just need modmic and there’s another adapter for the controller I believe. The issue is modern PC motherboards have very good amps. You won’t get the same filtering and it won’t receive the same amount of power you’d get from a wireless headset using a DAC like this. I mentioned before I didn’t see the Xbox logo. This is still pretty wild for a headset. If I were to choose one wireless headset it would be the hyper X cloud III with stealthz pads. You can get both on sale for under $150. They look weird and bulky, very bad aesthetics but the sound and feel beats any other gaming headset I’ve used. They’re also indestructible with an insane battery life and you can adjust the EQ from your phone but Xbox probably has the app since it’s on the Microsoft store. I’d look up some YouTube videos for it, of course influencers blow out these shorts and reviews for the big 5 peripherals brands. For 600 you could get the s2’s with a modmic. (S2’s are on Black Friday sale for $430) just as mentioned I’m not sure how good they’d be plugged into an Xbox controller or Xbox without an external DAC. The biggest thing you will notice if game audio design is good is the sounds aren’t all mushed together. Everything is very clear and separate if that makes sense. The highs are insane without being tinny like a gaming headset turning treble up or messing with the EQ.
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->I'm done with "gaming" headsets. They've all been crap. They all need bloatware to adjust EQ and get the most out of them. Logitech is the best software I've seen but their headsets are now terrible quality unfortunately. That being said if you're set on a headset I'd go for hyperx cloud alphas if they fit your head well. (Best buy has a demo rack you can wear for a bit to check). I saw them on Amazon and BB for 140. Look at the Cloud III S if you want a slightly better mic and better drivers with a bit more EQ control. You don't have to download ngenuity but it uses very little system resources if you do and is simple. The DAC's on steel series do nothing for audio clarity or gain until you get to the Nova pros which are $300, (255 for Xbox).
r/steelseries • Got the Elites today. ->I have HyperX cloud III, and am so in love with it. It's comfortable, works for everything I use headphones for (gaming, work, phone calls) aside from physical activity when I need to bend a lot. Very nice sound, good isolation, doesn't hurt ears even if the earrings are in, can't recommend enough
r/GirlGamers • Debating between gaming headsets ->HyperX Cloud III best bang for the buck. the speakers are rock solid and work great for both gaming and music. mic has been improved since previous generations
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Need suggestions for a gaming headset around 80$~100$ ->I recently bought the HyperX Cloud 3 Wireless (amazing product).
r/steelseries • I chose Steelseries as my first ever gaming headphones (happy) ->Unlike what everyone says here, if you *really* want a gaming headset with a build in mic that is completely removable take a look at the HyperX Cloud 3 (or the new S version). Usually gaming headsets have a lot of bass and overall poor sound quality. The Cloud 3's on the other hand have a very neutral sound signature. Not that they lack bass, but compared to other "gaming" headsets it's a lot less forward. I think gadgetry tech has a good review about them on YouTube.

r/HeadphoneAdvice • Best $150 Gaming Headphones ->After trying a few headsets (steelseries arctis nova 1 and 5, Razer blackshark) and even a wired headphone/mic combo (Sennheiser hd599) but hating the wired part and the mic in front of my face, I settled on a Cloud 3 Wireless. The Cloud 3 has a very neutral sound out of the box, and it takes EQ very well. Also the build quality is insane without getting too heavy, and the battery life of 120 hours is more than I will ever need.
r/buildapc • The Best Gaming Headset to Buy Now? ->I am emerald so don't take my word for it but the cloud 3 wireless is good
r/Rainbow6 • What’s a good headset for r6? Budget is around 200$ started to get more into it help please ->If it’s only a good headset for overall gaming. Any top five or top 5 YouTube recommendations. But if you focus on footsteps for fps, it’s a hard time finding one. I got pulse 3d, turtle beach 600 gen 2, cloud x 3 and Logitech 300 family. The best one of these for footsteps was the turtle beach, but the microphone is garbage, it keeps getting any background noise, don’t know the gen 3 if they fixed that issue. I updated the firmware but is useless. The second best one of these four options for footsteps for me is the cloud X 3. But for overall gaming any one.
r/PS5pro • New Pro Owner… looking for headset recommendations? ->If you are looking for a wireless 'gaming' headset, and are used to a more neutral tune, like your Sennys, you have to do some research on which headsets come close to that. Out of the box, most gaming headsets have a weird tune compared to what you're used to, including all Razers. Some more recent notable wireless gaming headsets that sound great from an 'audiophile' standpoint are the Audeze Maxwells, Astro A50X, and Hyper X Cloud 3 S Wireless. Those come out of the box with a great tune, close to the Harman curve. You can also get a lot of other headsets to sound great with some EQ. Something like the Fractal Scape or Nova Elite sound great with a modest EQ. GadgetryTech on YT offers awesome 'audiophile' EQs for a lot of headsets. Also, if you are using a modern gaming headset, make sure you have any corny 'surround sound' or spatial type features turned off. Since you've been using the same set for 16 years, you also have to give some time to adjust to the sound of a new headset. Even something slightly different might sound a bit weird at first if you aren't that experienced with different audio products overall. Many people still totally write off any wireless 'gaming' headsets, and imo that perspective is outdated in 2025. You can get really awesome, low latency audio quality with wireless headsets these days. Yes, for absolute dollar spent, you can get the best 'value' by sticking with a wired setup, but if you value the convenience or features from a wireless setup, you *can* get a great sounding setup if you're willing to do some research and drop the coin.
r/pcmasterrace • Does Razer just not make good headphones? ->Wireless 'gaming' headsets don't use bluetooth. Also the Maxwells sound incredible from an audiophile standpoint. You should update your viewpoint with whats currently avalable.
r/pcmasterrace • Does Razer just not make good headphones? ->Currently using the HyperX Cloud 3 wireless. Find them super comfortable for long sessions and I don't get any ear ache after wearing them for a long time. I don't use the included mic (which is detachable) as I use a stand alone usb mic, so I can't comment on the quality of that. Long battery life, I wear them pretty much every day for at least 2-3 hours and I only need to charge them once per week maybe. USB-A to USB-C Charging cable and a USB-C wireless adapter.
r/pcmasterrace • Looking for the best wireless gaming headset. ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
