Pulsar x2 mini has to be somewhere in the best lol, otherwise its flawed chart. Great performance and battery life with decent censor also.

For a medium-sized, symmetrical wireless with good battery life under $120, I’d look at the Logitech G Pro X Superlight (if you find it on sale) or the Pulsar X2. Both are great for claw grip and popular for FPS. If you want something cheaper, the Logitech G305 is still solid and lasts forever on a single battery. All come in black too.

I was on the fence about buying the Beast Miao after using the HSK Pro 4k, HTR Pro, and X2F beta. As someone who has always fingertip gripped, I was previously using the Pulsar X2 Mini and other "small but normal" mice and made it work. But when I moved to the HSK full time, things started working so much better for me. The Beast Miao is my favorite fingertip grip mouse because of its width, contoured sides, crazy strong construction, and weight. It'll be hard for something to replace this one, I tried the Fenrir Max and found it too wide for my liking.

I love the Pulsar X2 series mice. Not sure about "best you can buy", but they're great, especially after the v3 rework. If they release a red X2H v3, ohhhhhhh, god, hold my wallet. You can also get the non-v3 models online for quite cheap. They do have some QC issues, but who doesn't nowadays? Pretty sure their customer support is fine and would help.

Right now I am loving the Pulsar X2V2. I have somewhat large hands (21x11) and I notice i'm holding it more relaxed and more fingertip style. compared to the viper v2 pro I also still really like the viper and I'm switching them out a little. If I can teach myself to hold it as relaxed as the Pulsar without creeping forward on the mouse during gameplay I would prefer it.

I have a very similar hand size. Finding a true palm grip is going to be tough, so it's better to go for a fingertip esque grip For me the Pulsar x2v2 has been doing wonders. due to the width and flat sides. having said that there is a teevolution tera on the way to try. and i'll be checking in here soon to see what else might be recommended.

I just got rid of my g305 this week. After 5 long years the double click finally hit me. My Pulsar x2 was delivered on Thursday and played all day, and a little bit yesterday. Feels a little bit shorter than the 305, and a slightly wider base, but overall similar shape, and feels much better in my hand for the fingertip grip. Materials and buttons also feel much better, but it is $100. Definitely haven't used it enough to say "buy this" but of the combined 10-12 hours I've used it, its a massive upgrade.

Lamzu maya X and the Pulser X2V2 mini. the maya's shape actively pushed it into your hand, but that constant "locked in" grip makes it fatiguing to use in productivity scenarios at that requires you to constantly move your entire arm. I'm currently looking at buying a spare Maya X for future sake, the shape is perfect and I wanna have spares now in-case the Maya X disappears from the market.

Yeah, it's not a blanket solution sure since some processors and sensors just don't do well at 1k, just as some actually are terrible at 4k or 8k and need to be down-clocked to 2k (or any other polling rate) to work properly. Actually ran into this on my Pulsar X2V2 mini, at 4k it actually is more floaty than it is at 2k (and it goes weird again at 1k). As well as some of my other mice doing the same weird behaviour as soon as I tried to down-clock them to under 8k. Honestly the polling rate is more like overclocking your GPU than anything, sometimes a lower clock yields better results. Sometimes a lower clock makes things unstable and you need to allow the chip to speed up more freely to work properly. But yeah upgrading from 1k to 8k isn't really that big of a deal, but finding that butter-zone for your mouse that makes it run perfectly is defo a big deal.

r/MouseReview • What take on mice will have you like this? ->
Reddit Icon
DidjTerminator • 7 months ago

Pulsar functions nicely at 2k. Each mouse has it's own unique sweet spot though, some mice like the Maya X need 8k or they just don't quite for for whatever reason, some mice like the Pulsar X2V2 mini work best at 2k and get weird both above and below it. Unfortunately there isn't any way to actually say which mouse specifically works best at 2k polling, since you'll have to overclock/under-clock the chipset to find your own personal sweet-spot. A significantly better approach however, is to go onto both Rtings and TechPoweredUp websites and sort their mice from lowest click latency to highest click latency. The scroll down the list until you find the fastest mouse that you can afford (it may be a 2k mouse, a 1k mouse, an 8k mouse, who knows). As far as 8k DoEsNt MaTeR goes, that's like saying a CPU hitting 5ghz clock speeds doesn't matter. For some CPU's this is true and you're only hurting yourself with instabilities going up to 5ghz, but for many CPU's 5ghz is the bare minimum and they have a panic attack if you downclock them below 5ghz. The polling rate you want is highly dependent on your individual mouse, and depending in how it's setup some 2k mice are faster than some 8k mice. So it's much better to focus on latency itself and take whatever polling rate gets you there, even if that means a down-clock.

Viper V3 Pro prob the most popular and mainstream mouse. GPX 1 and 2 still about equal with viper combined. Pulsar's two recent releases TenZ & Crazylight have some of the best overall quality and durability in the business. Unfortunately none of their other offerings so far include the pulsar opticals. But I do think the X2 mini or crazylight version might be what you want, smaller mouse you can reach the front area with very light clicks. x2h mini version if you want higher-hump at the back. Lamzu, waizowl, mchose are some of the more well-regarded value OEMs but the prices are rising so oftentimes now you can get some of the OG models for cheaper on ebay.

That is not true. I have a X2 Mini and X2V2 Mini which are 51-52g, the X2 Crazylight which is 37g feels a lot more solid than my X2V2 Mini. The tolerance are tighter too - the gaps around the buttons are a lot slimmer, the clicks are better (FE opticals vs Raesha opticals), these do cost more so they were probably spending more effort on the QC for these mice as it is the more premium option.

No that's fair, the standard X2V2 and X2H (2023 model) had really bad quality control, my X2V2 was fine though the X2 Crazylight is significantly much better built than the X2V2 Mini which had slight button wobble due to the large gaps of the buttons. It seems spending more on Pulsar's limited or "premium" editions tends to have significantly better quality than the standard ones (or that they have improved everything this generation).

I have the same hand size as OP, the hump of the X2H mini causes the same issue that prevents us from reaching the front of the mouse (OP1 too long, X2H hump too high). The X2 Mini is better for our case as I main that instead.

Nah liking heavier mice is not an unpopular opinion, it's just not as many people wanting to go for heavier mice now which shows in the consumer mouse market. It's the same for monitors where it used to be CRT monitor which phased into TN panels which then phased into IPS panels for preference and now OLEDs. I started with the 229g G602 about 10 years ago to end up with mice under 60g like Pulsar X2v2, Deathadder v3H, and Viper v3 Pro.

I used to play with microsoft wheel mouse optical 1.1 (which is the original sensor that PWNs sensors are on every mouses now and the intellimouse same sensor is what inspired the deathadder shape) and that sensor was FLAWLESS, no feeling of acceleration, parasite firmware messing up the aim until you play hundreds of hours to get used to, so flawless you could just pick up the mouse and litteraly shred. The sensor was pointed to the front of the mouse which fit my gripstyle perfectly and keep my crosshair headlevel at all time without even having to think about it. Fast forward to 2024 i wanted to get back in competitive but felt that even 1k hz was too low nowadays. I bought every possible mice hoping to get the same feel; Zowie fk2 / Zowie fk2-DW / Pulsar x2v2 / Pulsar x2 Crazylight / Razer deathadder / glorious o, and NONE felt like that perfection i was used to until i bought the Superlight 2. They really nailed the sensor, no bs accel, or "aditives" just as they mention on their packaging. It felt like i was back in my competitive days and all the muscle memory kicked in. The shape personally is just what i need aswell, not too bulky but enough of a back hump to fit in my palm to stabilise my horizontal mouse movements. I am absolutely satisfied with this mouse and even have a 2nd one just in case the one i'm using right now breaks. I don't care about all those "don't be mainstream" comments i see about the mouse just because it's logitech. But for me they built something that no other mouse manufacturer could. This mouse is just perfect.

>This guy always doesn't recommend Pulsar mice That's just not true. The [Xlite](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-xlite/7.html) got the Editor's Choice award. The [Xlite Wireless](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-xlite-wireless/7.html), [Xlite v2](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-xlite-wireless-v2/4.html), and [Xlite v2 Mini](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-xlite-v2-mini-wireless/7.html) all got the Editor's Choice and Great Value awards (note that these were $80 or less, similar to Scyrox now). The [X2](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-x2/7.html), [X2 Mini](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-x2-mini/7.html), [X2 v2](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-x2v2/8.html), [X2H](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-x2h/9.html), and [Xlite v3](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/pulsar-xlite-v3/8.html) each received the Highly Recommended award (launch price for these was closer to $100). Only the last four Pulsar mice reviewed by pzogel didn't get any awards; keep in mind that these four all had some level of polling instability with a launch price of $130-180, while cheaper mice like the [DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed](https://www.techpowerup.com/review/razer-deathadder-v3-hyperspeed/7.html) ($100) had no such issues. It's easy to see why Pulsar no longer stands out enough to warrant a recommendation as they've become pricier and less competitive.

I have first batch xlite v2 regular and mini as well as x2 mini and x2-h mini and none of them have any creaking or sensor issues, even after few months of use. Makes me wonder am I just lucky or do people just literally gorilla grip their mice and throw them all over the room or something? Just seen this sort of hate towards Pulsar which feels a bit unjustified, especially when it also comes from people who have not tried their products. I bought recently x2-h mini just to find out if there's bad QC like everyone says, and I have zero issues. I do agree that they come up with revisions and "refresh" models a bit too quick where nothing seems to have changed. Going from V2 -> V3 is probably pretty big jump and I plan on at some point to buy Xlite V3 mini just to replace my current V2. Something Pulsar could improve on is weight balancing.

EXACTLY the same problems as myself. I've tried a bunch of other shapes for my grip (pure fingertip/relaxed fingertip) like beast x mini, x2v2 mini, Atlantis mini, xlite v3 mini, and none came close to the feeling and aim potential the g305 gives me. the only mouse that worked similarly so far is the zaopin z1 pro, which is the only one I didn't sell and been maining since I switched off the g305. though, still waiting for a proper lightweight, good sensor and switches g305 clone (ATK please make one) so I can compare with the z1 pro.

Since you’re looking for a smaller, lighter mouse for both productivity and gaming, I’d say you’re on the right track, but I’ve got a few recommendations based on your needs: \- Logi G305 – yeah, a bit dated now. The sensor is good but the weight (99g with AA battery) might feel a bit heavy compared to modern lightweight options. \- Razer Basilisk V3 X Hyperspeed – on the larger side. So if MX Master already feels big might not be the best fit. My recommendations: \- Razer Orochi V2. Super lightweight (60g without battery) and compact. No RGB tho. Great battery life \- Logitech G Pro X Superlight (If you find It on sale) \- Pulsar X2 Mini. Ultra-light (53g), wireless, and designed for small hands

I almost pulled the trigger buying one but cancelled the order because of the sketchy software. How is the tracking on it? Is it consistent? When I made loops in MS paint with the attack shark x3, the sensor would skip. My pulsar x2, logitech lift, and even seenda e3 don't do that.

That's true. I've got an x2 and and x2 mini and despite the size difference not being that massive when you look at it on eloshapes it feels totally different in hand. In my case the x2 mini feels slightly too small and the x2 feels slightly too wide. If I could get something with the width of the mini and the overall length and height of x2 it would probably fit perfectly.

I’ve been using Pulsar mice since the original X2 and the Xlite v3 was finally a mouse where quality was good enough that I could recommend to others. X2 V1 had double clicking issues, even on later batches. Rather than fix that and allow buyers to RMA, they released a V2 instead that people had to re-buy. X2H had the worst clicks of any mouse I’ve ever tried. They then finally released a good mouse in the Xlite V3 but at this point, I’ve just gone for the OP1w 4K and won’t be buying from Pulsar again.

Lot of closely similar options but really depends on what kind of hump you like or the placement of it… I’ve been down the rabbit hole and ended up with an X2V2 MINI, there’s a cheaper alternative with an identical shape the MCHOSE L7, good build $50 cheaper and good build. Other options are… XM2WE, OPM1, Lamzu Maya… Eloshapes.com helps compare shapes so you can see what you think you may like. I find the XM2WE a bit too wide for my hands yet I still found it very comfortable to hold and use, just wanted something more fine tuned to me. OPM1 I found was too thin on the sides for me, opposite of XM2. Both have incredible build quality and click feel. Maya I found the hump was too far forward for me and also too high. The MCHOSE and X2V2 mini was very low profile, light, and perfect width for me personally. I ended up liking these two the most and went as far to get a pulsar custom variant. Hope this helps! And good luck

They do make a ton of mice like that. You need to look for mice that are specifically made for claw grip. Pulsar X2 or X2H is like that. Endgame gear OP1 or XM2 are also like that. Sora v1 , or Vaxee X Sora are also like that. I'm sure there plenty more that I can't think of from the top of my head. The hour glass gives your fingers better leverage to really handle the mouse but yea, if your hands are too big or small for the mouse, it can cause issues. I honestly would say the Logitech GPX has a very very subtle hour glass, that it will probably feel pretty flat on the sides for you, it's one of the safest first mice for a reason. Asus harpe ace if I remember correctly is also pretty flat on the sides, it's shaped like a Logitech GPX but just longer.

so the xm2we is the essentials version of the wireless, so it has optical switches, but they're quite heavy so requires more force to click, not a lot like but it feels significant, the xm2w 4k uses the kailh gx switches for the lowest latency spdt switches if you want to look it up, they feel awesome but I have felt sometimes they click a bit too fast the only thing that I've found to have a bigger hump is a za zowie mouse but the only one thats wireless is the za13, if it was the 11 i would have no need for another mouse as for artisan, the type99 is THE control pad, its so easy to control your aim for me, the zero is basically a qck just a better version of it, like much better, so slightly faster, I prefer the control of the type99 what I will say is for the past few days I've been falling in love with my pulsar x2v2 again and I have ordered the tenz collab mouse as it looks to tick all the boxes I want in a mouse (21x11cm hands for reference)

Make it 3k php and you'll get the best one. Razer Basilisk V3. There are some that sell for 2.1-2.4k but make sure you check if they are legit. This guy called u/ProwlerCaboose made this following list a Year ago I got a list of cheap but solid mice. * VXE R1 A solid copy of the X2V2 mouse from Pulsar that is suitable for pretty much all grip types at a solid 30$ * Zaopin Z1 Pro is more of a traditional Egg shape that works very well for relaxed claw but is overall a larger mouse might work for you but might not, usually 30$ * VGN Dragonfly F1 is more of an original shape with a larger rear hump and shorter front end more 40$. * Attack Shark X3 has a solid shape like a smaller GPX and fairly solid feel, you can find it for like 20$ (Now has 4k) * Kysona M600 is pretty much the same as the Attack Shark with slightly higher quality for like 35$ * Machose A5 is much the same, a smaller GPX but more of an exact GPX shape like 30$. * Delux M800 and M600 are both Viper clones, the M600 is the smaller one. Good for kinda all control types like 40$ * Puretrak Valor usually on sale for like 35$ is a direct GPX clone * Phlyina S450 is a HTS+ clone that's usually like 40$, pretty solid for claw grip overall a good mouse that has surprisingly good quality. (Now in 4k!) * Ajazz has a ton of mice at different styles that are very solid. Some more GPX, some more like the S450, and many others for mostly 30$. * Darmoshark makes solid mice that are their own kinda shape that are very solid for like 50-80$ * Keychron M2 and their other models are extremely high quality mice from a good keyboard company with it's own original shape 50$ * Attackshark R1/Metapanda01 is a near copy of the Deathadder Mini for 20/40$ Nearly every mouse on this list uses a 3395 Sensor and are about 50g in terms of weight. Performance will be mostly the same across all of them, and most all of them are solid and cheap. All prices are in USD. For you specifically a GPX, Atlantis Mini and X2V2 also are within that budget Edit: spelling

I've super enjoyed the design as the grip fits perfectly for how i grab a mouse on the V34 and V35. It's the exact grips style of fingertipping a X2 Mini but much much better comfort grooves for an even more locked in feeling. The lower the weight gets the better it feels as that feeling if simply gliding your hand where it's needed is like nothing else I've experienced on a mouse even with the 35-40g mice I typically use. You'd be surprised how solidly built it is as well. I've had more creak on mice over 60g and full sized full shelled than I have felt in regular gameplay with the V35, it's surprisingly solid. Very excited for a full release as the shape and weight of that mouse for me are unmatched.

Shape is king, so knowing what he likes makes it easy. Even the cheap chinese clones these days are excellent as long as you don't mind the non-existent customer service. They used to be a joke but things like the VXE R1 or Zaopin Z1 Pro frankly go toe to toe with the Pulsar X2 and Orochi that they're cloned from. Then you can spend the difference in price on a nice pad or enough dot skates to last you the rest of your life.

Pulsar X2V2 (Mini), X2H (Mini), and Xlite V3 (3 sizes) all have huge sales in different places. They use ball bearings in the scroll wheel and their own encoder, which is very reliable. They also have optical switches, which are free from any double clicking.  They are also still around 50-58g with a 3395 and solid for the money (look for them on sale for around $50-65).  If you're willing to pay more or go for wired mice, you've got a lot of options for reliable stuff. Vaxee, Zowie, and Endgame Gear products in particular.

Lamzu maya for me. Before i used 2 mouse (pulsar x2 and steelseries rival 3) Pulsar is for fps games, idk why but that shape just does wonders for my aim. Rival 3 is for dota etc. Again idk why lol Now i use lamzu maya for both.

I have 21x11 hands. Personally I prefer a palm grip 9 times out 10 and I love the pulsar x3 for this as someone who used to main the g403, the x3 is a clone with optical switches However, I had a very fun finger tip stint on the pulsar x2v2 mini which I still use sometimes for fun and when traveling. I only stopped finger tip from fatigue issues but if it works for you I def recommend it. Good optical switches too.

I think you have a lot of options in that grip style, and I’d just go with something you enjoy. I can pincer my x2v2 and sl2 easily. I’d say the x2v2 is the most agile of those followed by the sl2. My xm2 has too much back hump/width and fills the palm more consequently even tho it’s shorter than an sl2. Since my hand is about 5-10% bigger than yours I’d probably guess the x2v2 or something similarly low profile and around 120mm length would be nice

Quick thoughts as a certified Pulsar X2 shape enjoyer: * They keep insisting on putting the ridges around the skates. These are annoying as fuck on hard pads. IYKYK. * Anything other than an on/off switch on the bottom is a waste of weight. That's just my opinion, of course.

a new shape with a reputable company is always interesting. i’m currently using a pulsar by you x2v2 medium and i love it. realized by using this and the razer viper v3 pro that i like claw grip the best. i bet this thing is a banger like the rest of the the pulsar mice

as someone come from s2, lamzu atlantis and x2h shape, ive never thought of main the x2v2 mini until recently as i thought it will small for my 19x10 hand. damn i was wrong . somehow it feels more comfortable and aiming better with it despite its small shape. it give me more freedom of motion and somewhat effortless tracking in fps that ive been looking for compared to my other mouse. definitely gonna try and buy x2 crazylight soon.

Contrary to what you'd naturally expect, bigger hands don't necessitate a bigger mouse. It would be great if it was that straight forward, but your preferred mouse is largely determined by your grip style/finger placement and overall aim technique/how you manipulate the mouse. For instance, my hands are 21.5 x 11.5 CM and to this day after owning various mice, I main the Xtrfy MZ1 Wireless. For reference I fingertip grip (as most large handed FPS players tend to) or if I use something like the Pulsar X2 or X2H (my second and third favourite mice) I can finger tip or MCP claw them comfortably. My advice is to try more shapes (not necessarily sizes) in general. Some small mice are too small, but those same sized mice with a different shape can make all the difference. Hope that helps

I came from the g102 up until 2023, now I’m using the VXE Mad R and R1 Pro Max on the regular, i personally loved the pulsar X2 Mini too. As for recommendations, i suggest the MChose G3 if you don’t wanna stay away from the egg shape, I second the R1 Pro or any similarly-shaped mice (Scyrox V8, Ajazz aj159, Mad R)

Ok we do fingertip the same way. I also have huge hands. My favorite mouse for this grip is the HSK Pro. Its a fingertip mouse and even with large hands I love it. I would have never tried it but got it as part of a used mouse bundle I purchased. Its comically small but great. For fingertip I also enjoy the Pulsar X2v2 Mini.

The pulsar is cheaper, more traditional shape, and sold everywhere. Maybe try that first. They sell for cheap on r/MouseMarket

You have the same grip as me. Relaxed claw grip on the mouse and almost identical hand shape as me. I’m an 18x9. I would probably recommend something like a pulsar x2v2 or an X2H mini. If you want to go a little bit smaller you could also do an X2 Crazylight but that size is a little too small for my liking. I’m bias toward pulsar lol but I love their mouses

Honestly, the stability and weight balance (plus a better sensor) were the main reasons I went with the v3 pro. Some people thought it felt too big, but for me, the more I gripped the mouse, the more it felt like an extension of my hand. You know Wasabi from YouTube, right? He always talks about how he likes bigger mice, and we have the same hand size. I guess the shape is what really matters and how it feels in your hand. I used the g pro x superlight for like 2-3 years, and the v3 pro felt familiar when I was stable with tracking and flicking. A 40g weight is probably not for me. I've tried a bunch of small mice too, like the Atlantis mini, Maya, Pulsar X2 mini, and X2H mini. They all felt good for a few months, but the more I got used to smaller shapes, the more I lost control of my grip, and my ring and pinky fingers always got tired for a few hours, not because it was lighter but because of a really curled grip.

Fellow baby hand gamer here (8x16cm hands) I really like the Pulsar X2 Mini, X2H mini and WL Mouse Beast X mini. (Currently using the Beast X Mini) Since you didn't like the X3, you should try the WL Mouse one :D

Haven't had any issues with my pulsar mice, but yeah, they are rather thicc I guess it's cause I hold my mouse in an unusual way. Claw, but only with thumb and little finger on the side. Index and ring finger on the Buttons and middle finger constantly on the scroll wheel 😅

I use a Gravastar M1 Pro and a Pulsar X2V2 Founders. Both are technically 4k gaming options but the Grav is a lot heavier. Both are probably a bit worse overall for productivity than a master, but they can get the job done as needed.

OP1 8K v2 is about $90 I think. That’s on the smaller side, and it’s well regarded as one of the best (if not categorically the best) mice for FPS. Even best mouse overall, it outperforms just about everything. Do you prefer symmetrical or ergonomic? The Razer Deathadder v3 is often on sale for $50-70, in my opinion it’s no slouch, it’s ergonomic. Much less of a performer as the OP1 but it is pretty decent. It’s large tho. If you’re interested in Pulsar their mini’s on the smaller size and I’ve seen some models (like x2 v2) on Amazon marked down to $70-90. Those will be wireless and are good. Pulsar also has an XLite (ergo) or X2 (wired) for $50, those are awesome choices IMO.

I'm just mildly miffed that they didn't put the Ultra in the store on release day... I'm sure the difference between sensors is indiscernible but the fact that I could have gotten a 3950 for $4 more than a 3395 irks me. That being said I really like the L7. Perfect mouse for me. Makes the X2V2 feel heavy even though it's only a 13g difference. Skates are kinda meh though, that's my only gripe. But that's easily fixed with some aftermarket skates.

Are you sure you are using fingertip and palm grip hybrid? You probably are mistaking palm for relaxed claw grip. And you are probably cramping due to size of g305 if this is the case. There are people with relaxed claw + fingertip hybrid grip including me. Mice that works for me have almost flat sides like pulsar x2 or x2h(medium or mini), gpx, or op18k.
