i was able to buy a v4 with almost the same price of the v3 ( new stock, some guy sell it back to me cause he did not like the shape ), and so far i have no issue yet, it is a great mouse but yeah compair to the v3, not so much of an upgrade

Xlite v3 is on sale on the pulsar site right now for under 100, good ergonomic shape so if hes doing long work sessions ergo is typically more comfortable, i personally use a vertical mouse for work but a lamzu atlantis for gaming but i doubt id enjoy work using an atlantis all day. So a ergonomic gaming mouse sounds more ideal so he doesnt hurt his wrists.

I've changed it in my Xlite V2 and V3 mice... standard encoder. It may have been some unusual brand, and now maybe their own exclusive encoder how that they use a dustproof one... but its a standard encoder that can be swapped like any other.

I've been happy with Pulsar. I've been buying Xlites since the first wireless. While I own a pair of V3 Larges, the V4 made no sense to me. It's a V3.1 that isn't justifiable if you already have the V3. (So I never bought a V4) I'm currently running the X3. First thing I noticed was how shitty their skates are. With the Xlites I always had corepads ready to go on day 1. I think their stock skates have gotten thinner. Very easy to scratch a soft cloth mousepad. That lip is awful. On one of my Xlites v3s I did take a Dremel sander to them. Even with corepads it would scratch a specific mousepad I was running. Hoping corepads will solve this for the X3, but they're not out yet. So I ordered some dots in the meantime. I'll just need a lot of them.

My 2nd Xlite V3 may have had a click issue like yours. If I would click just right (LMB) next to the scroll wheel, it would go click-click. Took it apart to inspect. There was a defect on the plastic. Kind of a little pimple of plastic on the bottom edge of the button, and sometimes would catch another piece of plastic making a click noise. Fortunately, it was very easy to sand off, and located under the button where it doesn't show. In this case, I don't care because it was an easy fix. This was my 4th pulsar mouse, and first one with an issue.

Dissapointing, been on this Xlite V3 mini all year and I love it, but V4 offers me very little to think about another Pulsar, X3 maybe being a different shape.... Wish they would just stay on one model, do a small upgrade without calling it V4 and offer new colours at launch. On that note, hope OP doesnt mind, but anyone had any joy on any other small/medium ergos? I always felt EC2 size was a little too big for me, but Xlite mini just a little too small, anything in between? Looked at E1 or Thorn but unsure. Maybe Paro if it comes around again.

They have had some bad runs, but they fix stuff pretty quick. I think over time being a relatively fresh face in the market they will be solid off the mark. The Xlite V3 was, I have had a really hard time replacing it with anything because I enjoy it so much, its honestly killed my mouse hobby, and really hype about the X3, but yeah, worry about that first batch because my X2V2 had the squishy clicks I had to fix myself, then it was perfect.

Xlite V3 owner here, big fan so far! I know Pulsar's QC can be hit or miss, but 6+ months on and I haven't had any issues. I owned the DAv3 Pro as well and while I liked it, I didn't love it and it started having scroll wheel issues.

I was actually very critical of their terrible v3/v3es release. My thorn left click is starting to die so i gave the v4 a shot and i think its pretty solid. You can go back through my post history on mouse review and see I have talked a ton of crap about their QC. That said I think the v4 is a good cozy mouse for us 20x10 palm folks who want something palm-able but agile. I will say though that your criticism of them in how they handle churning out so many things is absolutely valid.

QC was so chalked on the v3 that they delayed it for what seemed like a whole year. I think the xlite shape is excellent. I'm very happy with the v4 but will not be preordering pulsar things anymore. Due to their PITA RMA process I will only be buying from amazon from now on. (I've bought every iteration of the xlite)

Pulsar Xlite V3 and judging by how your pinky is resting with the mouse you have in the photos, i think the Xlite's shape will provide a more comfortable resting position for you. It's $70 on pulsars site right now, and with the leftover cash you have you could get a better mousepad as well. The Large QcK Edge is a decent pad that's cheap, pulsar has a few also like the ES2. https://www.pulsar.gg/collections/mice/products/xlite-v3-medium-gaming-mouse?variant=44387994173694

Been burned by both, but Razer has been better lately compared to Logitech for me. I love the Superlight 2, but the mousewheel click on mine doesn't actuate on the click, it actuates a little lower than that. The G502X's mousewheel died on me. Meanwhile, I have a Basilisk V3 Pro that's staying strong, but I just got a Pulsar Xlite V3 on Sunday that I'm trying out.

Editing in text form of the review... **Text form if you don't care to watch the video:** I was excited to try the Pulsar XLite v4 because I have been using the v3 in Large for about a year now. Other EC alternatives I tried deteriorated in quality, or weren't close enough to the EC/weren't doing anything interesting shapewise for me to try (DAv3 Pro was my main and the scroll wheel exploded) **I was looking forward to**: new clicks, new build, new bottom plate/skate design. Of these things, they made the clicks worse, the build much better, and kept the same trash bottom plate and skates. **Clicks**: The raeshas were a complaint of last gen but they were snappy, kept their snappiness over a year, but were just too light. Furthermore, they slam click, so a low sens player like myself is prone to accidentally shooting/right clicking, which can lose you fights/rounds/games in something like tac fps. The new clicks (Kailh opticals) are heavier, but just awful. Inconsistent feeling on RMB and LMB, mushy, not snappy. These are an L and a genuine downgrade from last gen. The only good thing is that they implemented a slam click filter, which every competitor (Lamzu) can push a firmware update for, but Pulsar needs to release a new $100 "next gen" mouse to do so. Lazy. Also my left click started squeaking literally mid review video. **Build**: My XLite v3 Large creaked in 1 month of use. I don't really care about creaking as it doesn't affect in game performance but it more so shows you the level of attention to detail from the production process of the company. It's fixed from an initial impression with the v4. It was solid and squeezing didn't even force any creakage. Will it stand the test of time? I don't know (spoiler: because I'm returning my copy). Kudos to them here. **Base/Skates**: The base of the Pulsar series is trash. The reason is that it has an outlining plastic ridge around the skates for the skates to line up. Sound familiar? Logitech GPX does the same. How does the GPX sound on soft/xsoft pads? Nails on a chalkboard (see clip in video). Same thing here, good thing I fell in love with mid firmness pads. Using the exact same skates/base that have known issues feels lazy. Likely to prevent new molds/production costs. Should go for bigger skates that most people like as Razer did. **Old 4k Dongle vs. New 8k Dongle**: This is the most frustrating part of this mouse. It isn't compatible with the old 4k dongle and you have to get the new 8k dongle to get access to higher polling rates. I'm personally of the opinion that higher polling rates don't matter unless you need that competitive edge/assurance, but if you're going to market/flaunt 4k and 8k on the box, you better include that dongle in the box. Furthermore, how are we 1 generation of sensor tech from the 4k dongle and it isn't compatible? Razer's Hyperpolling dongle is literally compatible across 3 generations of sensors (DAv3 HyperSpeed 26k, DAv3 Pro 30k, Viper V3 Pro 35k). I don't give a shit if there is a real technical reason as to why the old 4k dongle can't pair to the new 3950 mice, in that case it's bad design and if there is no real technical reason then this is forced obsolescence. **edit per /u/pzogel comment below, this is due to making a new in house firmware vs an older compx solution. So a technical reason exists, however, it is quite a pain to the customer. He makes much more technical reviews than I do, so check his posts/reviews if you haven't before** **Conclusion**: Pulsar spend money sponsoring VCT Pacific and certain teams (ironically, most of these players will not be seen with Pulsar mice on stage) instead of bring their mice up to par with competitors. I'm always weary of products/brands that overspend on marketing (think Honey), so I make sure to really see if their product development matches their marketing. In the case of Pulsar, it doesn't. Their previous v3 model suffered from slam clicks, and they never pushed a firmware update whereas Lamzu did so immediately. They are forcing 3950 mice users to buy new high polling rate dongles instead of updating the old one to pair to new mice (see edit above). What's even worse is that during the making of this video, [Pulsar is now teasing their own proprietary switch with just the caption 2025 on Twitter, when I was literally mocking them in the video that they would release a v5 next year with fixed clicks for another $100.](https://x.com/PulsarGears/status/1873671656809664652) It's clear to see that Pulsar give f\* all about the quality of their releases and just want to push a new $100 product to you. I know many are hype for the X3 and will be ordering it, but for those that are a fan of their other mice, I urge you to find alternative brands that actually care about the consumer.

I have all or most of the mice mentioned in your post, and similarly have had issues finding a mouse that had a right side that felt normal. The XM2w caused my hand to cramp (even tho I played awesome with it lol) The E1 is the best overall mouse I've ever used imho. The shape is second to none in my opinion. I have the ec2-dw, the pulsar super light size 1 & 2ES) and many other ergos that aren't nearly as comfy. The cons to the E1 are - the buttons have a specific bounce/spring to them, so there is a tiny bit of rattle if you slam your mouse often - the scroll wheel is fine - the side buttons have a bit of a corner to them, (I just sand it down) I'm currently switching between the E1, the Viper V3, the Zowie S2-dw Oh, and the Sora is an awesome mouse with a great shape. It's god a cool internal structure that was fun to mod and get the weight super low. I missed having the curved finger grooves (so I added my own) but overall it's an awesome mouse that I mained for months before I got into ergos. The pulsar super light is awesome, but had specific curves (along the right side and front) where I never felt 100% comfy. I have the v3ES and the v3 size 1, and both were a bit off for me. And I also didn't love the raesha optical switches.... Best scroll wheels tho! The XM2w is certainly the best built mouse of these three. If there was a version that didn't have such an aggressive inward curve along the right side I would likely be maining this mouse. That and I wish it had finger grooves... It's so solid tho... My personal rankings: 1. E1 2. Sora 3. Xlite (does the v4 still use Raesha optical switches??) 4. XM2w (but if you like the shape, its potentially #1)

Most of these seem to be symmetrical aside from the DA?... It's an ergo, but the Xlite V3 Mini sounds like it'd be perfect. Similar size to the AJ199 but a more forward hump. It's my current favorite but I have a Paro and a OGM Pro V2 on the way as they look very similar to the V3 Mini... Especially the Paro, with the Pro V2 being more symmetrical and more palm filling to the rear.

People that recommend the Viper Mini either havent tried it themselves or dont know better, that cable is stiff, thick so its not even compatible with mouse bungees I wouldn't subject a friend to that. The minimum I'd pay for a wired mouse with an actually good cable is around 2k for the Wired Razer and Pulsar options (Razer Deathadder V3 and Pulsar X2/X2H/Xlite Wired) and max at 3k-4k for the 8k options from Endgame Gear with good wired cables as well (OP1 8k and XM2 8k) at 1k the only reasonable option is VXE R1, whatever version you can get (avoid pro max, switches suck)

I’ve been using Pulsar mice since the original X2 and the Xlite v3 was finally a mouse where quality was good enough that I could recommend to others. X2 V1 had double clicking issues, even on later batches. Rather than fix that and allow buyers to RMA, they released a V2 instead that people had to re-buy. X2H had the worst clicks of any mouse I’ve ever tried. They then finally released a good mouse in the Xlite V3 but at this point, I’ve just gone for the OP1w 4K and won’t be buying from Pulsar again.

razer did a smart thing here with this shape, it will easily become the best ec2 style ergo on the market. I can't really make an argument for any of the other popular ones. Stormbreaker weighs a bit less but bad qc and costs almost twice the price, the xlite v3 is similar but at the same price I would pick the razer tech any day, and the ec2-CW costs more and weighs a lot more.

If you love the 403 shape pulsar are coming out with their X3 which is basically the same shape at 50~ grams Having just bought an Xlite V3, honestly I wouldn’t go for either Logitech or Razer specially for their 130+ mice… It has top of the line sensor, optical switches ( I value the infinite lifespan more than “feel” ) 55g, and for 77€ in Spanish Amazon… you just can’t beat that Besides even more reasons to not go for either, Logitech seem to be going down the intel after AMD’s failure and before Ryzen route, resting on their laurels and living off the G pro and super light variants, and Razer seems more switched on as a company but synapse is so dogshit

Man I’ve been trying to find my end game mouse and it’s so frustrating! I had a GPW but I’ve been having some issues with it so I bought the pulsar xlite v3 medium and the DAV3 Pro and the Pulsar seemed a little small for me, I’m still deciding on the DAV3 Pro. I’m not used to using ergo mice, so I’m having a bit of trouble deciding if it’s comfortable or not. I’m used to the smooth centered hump of the GPW fitting right into my palm as it feels nice to rest my hand on the hump sometimes during fatigue. The DAV3 Pro hump is a little aggressive, especially for where it’s located, but depending on how I grip it, I can find comfortable positions, so I’m still testing it, as it’s still somewhat comfortable. I just got the white VV3 Pro today and I looooove the white and the coating and literally everything about the mouse EXCEPT the shape! I seriously want to love it soooo bad, it performs extremely well, feels like I have full control with it, super light, but man, even though the hump looks fairly centered, when you’re actually holding it, it feels like it’s more back-positioned, so it digs into your palm and kinda forces your wrist at a slight upward angle, putting more stress on your fingers and causing fatigue. I’m looking into trying out the Superlight 2 Dex and maybe the Lamzu Maya X. Is there anything anyone can recommend that’s close in shape to the GPW with a centered hump, maybe even a little higher? I’m not sure how I would describe my grip, I suppose palm grip? I do curl my fingers a little bit, but not aggressively enough that I would consider it a claw grip, but while gaming, I do tend to lift my palm slightly from the hump (sometimes still touching slightly, but depends what I’m doing in-game) with the bottom of my palm still making contact with the hump as well

I’ve been liking the Xlite v3 Mini. All black with a little white or red dot on the side (might be able to turn that off idk).

Pulsar QC has been a problem since their first product. I would wait for the upcoming new generation of products and see if they actually fix it this time. BTW if you didn’t realize, X2V2, X2H and Xlite V3 are all in the same generation and share the same click issues. “Completely revamped” is when compared to the last generation (X2 and Xlite V2).
