I do not play games online. Mine are all single player games and my Blon bl03i/bl03ii has been phenomenal for gaming.
Blon BL03ii with a fun sound sig for music.
Get the bl03ii. Has more resolution vs 03 and more controlled base. I have both and keep switching between the two.
Two different approaches to the same problem. 03ii is exactly the same as og. The cable connection has receded inside the iem shells, the black one feels nicer to hold in hand, better cable are all the physical things that were changed in 03ii. So you will face the exact same problem with 03ii. Edit: changed word to problem
My journey was something like this: Got Hifiman Re400 Waterline back in 2016. It was neutral. Loved it. One year after the cable insulation fell apart. Audio Technica IM70. Harder hitting bass. Highs were a little subdued. Used it for 2 years. Then the cable connector stopped working and I couldn't find a cable replacement as connector was proprietary. Asked a friend to get me Ibasso IT01 from US in 2019. I do not remember much about its sound. But the connector was mmcx and it sucks. One of the earpiece ended up with a loose connection. Between 2019 and 2021, I got Dunu Dk2001, Obravo Cupids and Bravado. Liked them, specifically Bravado and Dunu. But Bravado had driver flex and it was very bad in that aspect. Sold all of them off. End of 2021 after Covid restrictions were lifted in my country, I had switched jobs and I was looking for some better iems (I could invest some more money into them). Fortunate meeting with a dude (who turned out to be a very good friend later on) made me experience some iems and those blew my mind. And luckily for me, he was looking to sell all of his iems as he was in need of money. Inear PP8. Blew me away. I bought it off him. Then Oriolus MK2 (bought it for my then gf and now wife), Oriolus Mellianus (detail monster without being harsh). Pears SH3. I understood with SH3, it is the tuning that matters and not the number of drivers. Bought both Mellianus and SH3 from him. And all at very good prices. All of this was between 2021 and 2022. Starting 2022, I got a few more iems. Oriolus Isabella. Such beautiful mids. I eqed the lowend. Gave me a lot of joy. Next was Oriolus Szalayi. I was looking for an iem pair with heavy lowend. Sza delivered. It is still my favorite pair. With Isa, I started on the single dd path. I got FAudio Dark Sky next. Wonderful sound. Then I had a chance to buy Inear SD5 wooden shell. Loved it too. Thicker lowend than PP8, but PP8 was still better as an alrounder. I got Letshouer S12 and liked it but the upper mids sounded harsh to me. I changed the cable to one with a mic and it is relegated as my calling iem. I was looking for a cheap but good iem pair that I can use while travelling. Bought Juzzear 61T. Liked it a lot as it has very good lows and mids and highs were good too. My wife liked how it looked and sounded and thus it became her iem. She has two now. Last year I bought both Blon BL03 i and ii for regular use, and they still are my daily driver. And with this I was all done with my iems. I got out. Start of this ear, I started looking into flathead earbuds. Started with VE Monks lite. Then got for myself the Fiio cheap flathead pair. Then two of the Faaeal earbuds and Ry4s. I will get one last earbuds pair sometime later and then drop out. During Corona, I was stuck at my hometown and since I packed lightly hoping that I will be back for work, I packed lightly. But alas, I was stuck at my home for about 2 years without my dap and iem. So, what I have done now is, I have kept most of my favourite iems back at hometown in my room. Rest are with me. This way no matter what and where, I just need to carry my dap and I will always have iems to listen to music.

Blon BL03ii. Cut a bit of the nozzle from any other eartips that you do not use, put it down over Bl03ii's nozzle and then put the eartips that you want to use with the iems.
Blon BL03i and ii enjoyer here. These are fantastic.

My BLON BL03 2 have the same effect on me; I come back to them often and I love them
Both have a weird fit, so probably aren't the best buy nowadays. It has trouble staying in the ear because of its shape. The new one has a less weird connector for the cable, which is a good thing. However, they made the tuning worse, so it's not really an IEM anyone recommends. It's pretty meh for the price range and you still have the problems with the weird fit. The original BL03 is a bit of a classic and still holds up for how it sounds, if you want a fun-sounding but competent IEM with good bass and reasonable technicalities. However the stock cable is crap and the weird connector makes it awkward to get a replacement. It's TFZ, but even TFZ cables don't fit perfectly because they made it nonstandard. They fit securely, but there's a gap that doesn't look quite right. I would suggest instead looking at something like the KBear KB01, which is around the same price and is a better IEM overall. Not exactly the same tuning, but it still has decent bass and an overall balanced tuning that works for most music. When you get your phone without an audio jack, buy a dongle DAC at that time. For Apple, you may want to stick with the Apple dongle. For Android, the JCally JM6 Pro is the most recommended. This also has a bit more power, which you won't need for these, but might be useful in the future if you get something else that's harder to drive.
Unlike most, my best and also current combo is Blon BL03 and Sknowsky Retro Nano, it sounds fantastic for my ears. In total it only costs around 100$ but it is irrelevant. I actually used various iems and DACs before, they were all more expensive than this combo but they all sounded worse. It says something about this hobby, sometimes the price does not matter. My only concern is that I should buy Blon BL03 II, which is a newer version, since the current one fits me already.

so it seems that you also have to deal with the nozzle problem, it's not only me. For my case, I wrap a tiny wire around the base of the nozzle and super glue it there, so that the eartip does not slide onto it. Kinda makeshift but it works and I'm not having the iem for show with anyone so I'm fine with it. With the 03II, I hope it will be better.
Considering you said "music listening" I am gonna name Overall best If it's your first IEM - Tangzu - Wan'er S.G 2 + Audiocular D07 DAC with Truthear zero Red auto eq 75 ohm (Equalizer APO + Peace Interface) If it's your second purchase - Kiwi Ears Cadenza If want something with heavy bass - Kinera - Celest Wyvern Black If want something balanced - BLON - BL-03 II I always suggest DAC cause auto eq may change frequency response to non existent, so you would need more power, DAC is investment and Audiocular D07 although is equipped with CX31993 DAC chip With MAX97220 Amp, I would recommend it for IEM under 7k. Good luck, have an audible orgasm listening music
I wouldn’t describe the nothing ear 1 as smooth and balanced at all. You’re looking more at a very warm and bassy sound with forward mids and good air. Considering that, I might suggest the Blon BL-03 II. It’s way under your asking price, but I’m sure it will fit your sound preference just fine. You might be disappointed if you go for a $150 IEM straight away. The difference isn’t that big anyway IMO. The Blon’s might surprise you with how much better they will sound to your nothing ears. https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=Ear_(1),BL03_2 If you’re looking to spend closer to your price, consider the EW300. https://graph.hangout.audio/iem/5128/?share=Ear_(1),EW300_(Pink) I must say I don’t agree with the other persons suggestion of a EA500LM. Will likely lack bass for your preference.
Ziigat Lush. I never really tried ziigat iems, i just recently got into the iem rabbit hole. I started off with blon bl-03 ii and now upgraded to the truthear hexa, and I'm really enjoying them so far! I definitely wouldn't mind giving ziigat a try for sure

i just upgraded from blon bl03 to blon bl03 2 about a week ago, they are pretty amazing since you talked about pretty faceplate, i do love the gunmetal finish of these which is literally a curved mirror and is very durable and gets no scratches
they sound very similar, but i noticed they have more sub bass which sounds nicer than previous blon but they also have more sound in 15khz frequency too, tbh they are better than original basically bass remains almost same, but they are more bright but not that much like how KZ tunes their iems which may sound sharp to many people like me
