ECOVACS - Deebot T30s Series

I also have a t30. And for the most part I’m happy. I’m just a bit frustrated since sometimes I notice streaks on my floors after a couple of weeks. I’ve changed the amount of water distributed but it hasn’t made a difference. I replace the mops once a week and wash the old ones and usually look brand new when I take them out. So that’s my main issue. My floor is also terrible that you literally just look at it then it gets dirty.

Streaks? My tiles are extremely hard to keep clean, most detergents leave streaks, glad to say this one doesn’t, we haven’t changed the mops yet either and I use the mop and vac function almost everyday, when I first bought it it used to leave drops of water behind, that hasn’t happened in a while though

I got the ecovacs t30 combo in may and honestly it’s the most important member of the household to me, it has what’s most impressive to me: spinning mops, hot water cleaning and auto empty, the app is easy to use and so is the voice command, I’d recommend it to anyone

We started with one iRobot, it worked great! Later decided on a brava (iRobot mop) and it worked amazingly! I was in my doctorate program and didn’t have time to clean the floors. We have two small dogs and five children. The floors are one thing I don’t have to worry about anymore. We recently moved and purchased two combo vacuum and mop, one is iRobot and the other is ecovacs. I like the ecovac more, it seems smarter, however they both do a great job. We have three stories so there are robot vacuum on each floor, they run every day, this keeps the stairs pretty clean and I vacuum the stairs once a week. Our original robot is eight years old and runs fine with daily use.

Yeah, more expensive ones might be better, but that doesn’t mean we all need to spend so much. I got my ecovacs t30s for around 500 bucks, and I use it to vacuum my rugs and mop the hardwood floors. I just do a few things after using it, like refilling the water tank, changing the dust bag every month or two.

I got an ecovacs t30 and it definitely did a good job on keeping my floor clean, no hair tangle issue so far. Imo auto emptying and auto mop washing is a must, and it's quite enough for daily cleaning routine. But if you have low furniture clearance, then ecovacs t50 pro might be a better alternative.

I have one. Its pointless. Ended up buying an expensive T30S Combo for a good deal on black friday.

# [Under $300](https://amzn.to/48R0G4J) Generally speaking, I think its rare you find a great robot at this price, and I've discussed why there's some sense in [not spending the money on real discount robots](https://www.whatrobotvacuumshouldiget.com/2025/06/20/are-budget-robot-vacuums-worth-buying/). Still... there are a few gems worth looking at, as more expensive models drop under this threshold. *If I were buying at this price point, I'd get:* If you're more concerned about a mop, get the 3i. (its great at both, to be clear, but it has the best mop of the bunch). I really like the 3i brand, they're not new, they've been making robots for other companies for years. The G10 is stripped down from premium models, but it had the same sweeper>roller design that is so effective on the higher end models. *If you don't want to go with my top recommendation, I also recommend:* If you've got a smaller place, or a place with many floor objects, try a Switchbot. Because they're so small, they can get between chair legs and make a small radius around things. Switchbot just doesn't get enough attention, IMO. Lots of people purchased the [K10+ Pro](https://lifehacker.com/tech/switchbot-k10-plus-robot-vacuum-review) on my recommendation during Prime Day and have posted about how happy they are. The 11 made the tower smaller and improved some other specs, but is mostly the same model. The perfect apartment, studio, or office vac. Performs spectacularly well as a vacuum, particularly given the price and stats, but it is ONLY a vacuum. I, personally, do not enjoy Eufy models, and on the whole, [did not enjoy the E20](https://lifehacker.com/tech/eufys-e20-robot-vacuum-ces-2025). I thought it was clunky and not particularly great at any of the 3 things it was trying to do, but people in this sub LOVE Eufy, so at this price point, if you're so determined, this is the one I'd get. In a similar vein, if you love Roborock, a brand I usually recommend highly, I usually think you should grab the most expensive one you can afford (with some exceptions). My friend K says that the reason I'm trustworthy is that I'm always telling him to not buy things. So let me start here with what I'm NOT recommending, because you'll ask. I know everyone is excited about the Dreame Aqua and the Narwal Flow, but I think there are better roller mops out there, and I didn't feel either was significantly better than similarly priced non roller mops (the 3i S10). I really didn't love the Aqua, it leaked. The Flow was better. But not better than my picks in this category. The Saros Z70 is a fantastical concept I got super excited about, but wasn't great in practice. I haven't tested the X11, so that's my only reason I'm not recommending it. So what I DO recommend: The two models below are both excellent vacuums, mops and all around robots. They are highly comparable and while you could make yourself crazy comparing, stop. We have deeboot t30 Omni and two malting collies, it is a beast and does the mopping for the 3 minutes the house is hair free too

Just to say, we bought an ecovac t30 omni but had to return it within a month of purchasing. After returning it to Good guys, they then revealed to us that they are the most returned brand of robo vacs so... my suggestion, stay away from ecovacs. Their instructions, and troubleshooting is not very clear / helpful either.

Don’t by the T30. Awful. Also customer services with ecovac is awful.

Doesn’t work for me. I have a husky so a bit of dog hair and it struggles. It goes around it as if it’s an obstruction. Ecovacs answer was to turn off the radar which I did. It then gets trapped in the roller. There’s no cutting mechanism so it blocks up quickly and the vacuum isn’t powerful enough to suck it into its storage area. Pretty disappointed. I’m not talking about a big clunk of hair either.

How long did you have the t30 for as they wouldn’t accept mine back when I listed similar issues?

It’s mostly hardwood in my place, but about 60% of the floor is covered with rugs. I’m using a deebot t30s to handle the cleaning, and I hardly have issues with the dustbin getting stuck. In fact, I haven’t really needed to clean the dustbin inside the robot much; I mostly just change the dust bag at the dock.
