can’t go wrong with the nuna car seats! pipa rx for infant seat (highly recommend w mixx next stroller) and rava for convertible
r/Buyingforbaby • Tell me your car seat recommendation! ->I think the Nuna is one of, if not *the* lightest infant seat on the market!
r/BabyBumps • Can someone please explain stroller/ car seats and what I actually need 😭 so completely overwhelmed with options ->The Nuna Urbn also doesn't require a base, so it's easy to get in and out of cabs and Ubers (that's what it was designed for!)
r/BabyBumps • Can someone please explain stroller/ car seats and what I actually need 😭 so completely overwhelmed with options ->Nuna TRVL urbn - bucket seat no base needed. You gotta anchor every time you put in the car. Something that can work is to get a bucket seat AND a convertible seat that can be the transitional seat as the bucket is outgrown. We personally did the NUNA pipa RX that comes with 1 base which was always on the main truck , BUT it have the option to use a seatbelt buckle no base needed grip for the secondary use vehicle. We felt it was a great investment with the stroller (got it before the newer travel systems came out)
r/Parenting • One baby, two cars often in use... ->We had the Pipa urbn and looooooved it. So easy and light. Twas a sad day when our daughter outgrew it.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->She outgrew it around 11 mos.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->The Noona is probably the best car seat that turns into a stroller - it’s an all-in-one. So you don’t have to worry about bringing along a separate stroller. It is great for the first year or so. And the Noona is stroller is small so you can easily bring it to wherever you’re going without it being a hassle. The ones like Uppababy Vista are good too, but it requires you to bring a separate stroller that you can click the car seat into. But once the kid outgrows the infant car seat, the stroller is just a large stroller and doesn’t really have any major benefits over any other stroller. I’ll say this - we used the Uppababy system for our first two kids then did the Noona for our third - and I really wish we had gone for the Noona in the first place.
r/Parenting • Infant Car seat and stroller combo ->Nuna makes an awesome infant carrier we just got two bases
r/Parenting • One baby, two cars often in use... ->We have the nuna and I don’t feel like it’s heavy at all. I’m dad so maybe that’s why but it’s super super light compared to my brothers Doona. Also, my nephew who is 30th percentile has already grown out of his Doona at 1. Plus the tires on the Doona are tiny. And plastic. I routinely run over large rocks/curbs/anything I wasn’t with our nuna and my 11 month old loves it.
r/NewParents • Should I get the doona infant car seat? Is it better than the nuna travel system? ->No man that thing weighs more than my son. My SIL is tiny. Like 4-11, 100lbs and the only way she gets that beast out of my brothers truck is basically just chucking it. Plus, those wheels just aren’t made as well as the Nunas. All my friends have children and of all of our car seat/stroller systems I can confidently say the Nuna is the best I’ve seen. By a wide margin Edit: my 11 month old is also gonna fit in the Nuna for a long time still. He’s almost too big for my nephews Doona already
r/NewParents • Should I get the doona infant car seat? Is it better than the nuna travel system? ->Urbn, Graco GoMax, and Joie Mint latch are all baseless latch infant seats. All of the nuna seats can be installed baseless if you use a seatbelt btw. They’re all safe. People feel like they’re not safe because they’re new or because they don’t know how car seats work, but ask any CPST or look online for video demos - they can explain how it’s just as safe as other car seats on the market. People have this idea that the base that it clicks into, is safer, but when you have the baseless latch connection…it’s doing the same thing as the base is (connecting via latch lol) 😂 Idk the weight limits for the the Graco and Joie car seats but the nuna urbn, nuna pipa RX, and Aire RX all have the same weight and height limits now. They’re 4-30lbs and 16-30 inches. The older models varied more, but now they’re the same across the 3.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->My brother and SIL had kids first in our family. My SIL is a little boujee and wanted Nuna everything. I had my son a year after their daughter so they lent my their Nuna carseat and bassinet with base and gifted me the Nuna stroller. I was appreciative but thought $1k for all that mess was excessive. I would not have sprung for it had it not been gifted. I really loved it though. It was so easy. I've lent it to friends. Our Nuna stuff has gone through 6 babies so far. I now have baby #2 5 years later. The infant car seat has since expired so I sprung for a new Nuna so it would fit with the whole system. She sleeps in the bassinet downstairs during the day and I just click that into the stroller for walks then I switch it out with the car seat to go somewhere. The stroller is really nice because even though it's big and heavy duty it travels really well. It's great for just getting over mixed terrain. My friend who borrowed it last wanted a smaller lighter stroller but ended up borrowing mine and using it more because it handled so much better on bumpy roads and terrain. Anyway I'm thankful for my boujee SIL because she was right and it was made my life a lot easier.
r/Buyingforbaby • Are stroller car seat combos worth it, and any low weight recommendations? ->How big of an issue is budget? I went back and forth so much on this one but the one I went with ended up being my absolute favorite purchase. We went with the Nuna Urbn/Tavo Set. Dillard’s has a for $599 which is crazy budget for both. Urbn car seat is not sold on its own without a set. You can also pick another stroller set like the Mixx or Triv or Trvl (all have pros and cons) with the same car seat, but they will be anywhere from $900-1250 for the set. Here’s the thing about the Urbn- No other car seat like it on the market. It only weighs 7 lbs It doesn’t require a base to or seat belt to be hooked in. It uses a latch system that hooks directly into the car seat latches which are in all vehicles made 2012 or later (if in US). It was the most convenient thing ever if using multiple cars. My son’s dad and I split when he was 14 weeks old, so he was in all cars back and forth, and we also both use our vehicles a lot for work so not having a base left behind was sooooo convenient. I would suggest it to anyone. You can watch TikTok on the installation to see how it works just search Nuna Urbn install. Takes 5 seconds. The only con- Because it’s so lightweight and the latch system, it maxes out at 29 inches and 22 lbs for baby limits. So baby will not be able to use it quite as long as some of the other popular ones like Chicco Keyfit that go up to 35 lbs and 32 inches long for baby size max. That being said, when baby gets around that 20 lb mark, the car seat gets extremely heavy to still be moving in and out…and the other car seats with the higher maxes weigh more starting anyway. For example, the Uppababy Mesa weighs 12lbs to start, so even if it goes up to 30* lbs or so, not many people still want to remove and carry baby in it once that heavy. They can just get longer use out of it by remaining in the vehicle. But either way, you’ll still have to switch to a convertible car seat. With the Urbn, that just happens a bit sooner. Most babies max out height before weight anyway. We made it 9 months with Urbn before having to switch to Rava convertible. The Tavo stroller is heavy and large but so nice and luxurious for the price point in the set. I loved having it but 8/10 just carried the car seat bc it was so light. I ended up getting a really small travel stroller to use without the car seat at about 6 months old and kept the larger stroller for longer more comfortable outings. The Trvl or the Triv are going to be your best bet if you want lighter. And the Mixx is top of the line, has all the options and bells and whistles. If the lower weight limit and latch system isn’t necessary, the new Nuna Aire which uses the base (or seat belt options) is what I’d suggest. With bases, takes seconds to install as well, but you do need bases installed in all cars already for that to be quick. Without a base, it can always be installed with seat belt only but takes much longer than the Urbn with latch system. It’s why getting used to it I could never go back to something else. Hands down was my partner and I’s favorite purchase. I said in another post, people LOVE the Uppababy strollers. Particularly the Vista or Cruz V2. But I would suggest the Mesa car seat. You can get another type of car seat and an adapter ring for several of them if you love the stroller though and it makes the set. Best overall infant car seats by budget Graco Snugride Chicco Keyfit 35 Nuna Urbn or Aire Cybex also makes great ones Because of the $599 option at dillards for the urbn and Tavo, I wouldn’t recommend a Chicco Bravo set because they are almost the same price but are also still good. Same as the higher end Graco sets…they are in the $450-550 range anyway, might as well get the cheaper Nuna set bc of the quality. Nuna also uses no dangerous chemicals sprayed on their fabrics which is a plus. This color is $100 off of the other ones in other colors exactly like it. Dillard’s does that a lot on some colors. But Seriously cannot beat this price or deal for everything you get with [this](https://www.dillards.com/p/nuna-tavo-stroller-and-pipa-urbn-infant-car-seat-travel-system/519384726) [example](https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8NK3Rsk/) if install. You don’t even need the yellow guides. (We didn’t use them). Especially once you do it a couple times bc you know exactly where the hooks are.
r/BabyBumps • Your "DEFINITELY GET" recommendations for a baby registry? ->Gotcha! My friends visited NYC a couple times with their infant and their Doona worked well for them. May be worth the purchase for your trip. A “hack” I’ve heard is that if you’re planning on gate checking, go up to gate agent and ask (nicely) if there are any open middle seats and if so if you and your baby could be put in that row. If it works out you’ll get to bring the car seat onboard without buying a seat, if not gate check it as planned and lap carry I personally have the Nuna Triv + Pipa Aire and we’ve flown with it (and the car seat) a few times as a gate check and we love it bc the Triv folds easily. I feel like the Triv is perfect for NYC life but is an expensive purchase so the Doona a much better deal unless you happen upon a used Triv Also another option if you’re renting a car for your upstate journey is a car seat supplied by the car rental company - I think almost all of them have the option!
r/Buyingforbaby • Would you buy a used 2019 Doona just for travel? ->Our nuna car seats are hands down the best. We’ve bought cheap brands for travel + the maxi cosi’s for grandparents cars to compare. The nuna feels the sturdiest, highest end, and the thing doesn’t budge. It’s also incredibly comfortable and grows with your kids.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->For us, no. We have the Nuna. Babies just hate being confined. Mine screamed every time she was in her seat from 4 months to 9 months! We played around with the Chicco and Cosco seats too, to see if any would help (nope - they didn't!). We ended up switching to a Britax One4Life around the 4 month mark to give her more space and so she could sit up more and see the world, but still dealt with screaming. Same thing happened to my friend who used both the Chicco and Graco systems for their two cars. They will eventually grow out of the screaming - we tried to bring a lot of entertainment and snacks to distract her and it helped immensely. She's just over 2 years old now and chills in her carseat for trips so it will get better, I promise you!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Are Maxi Cosi and Nuna Car Seats Worth the Money? [MB] ->Have the Nuna tavo. Love it bc it’s so easy to use with the Nuna rx car seat. You can also lay the seat completely flat and has buttons on the feet, so it acts Iike a bassinet. Really didn’t want to buy a bassinet bc it felt like a waste of money. Also think about how the weather will be when your baby is born. It’s great in the wintertime to move the car seat into the stroller and cover her up completely to stay warm.
r/Mommit • What stroller (or other big ticket item) did you prefer and why? ->I’m a CPST who has installed hundreds of car seats and dealt with every company’s customer service. Nuna is top tier.
r/Costco • how good is Graco 4Ever DLX Grad car seat? or would you recommend us something else? my baby is 6 months old almost 7 ->That’s why I feel like Nuna is a waste lol. The evenflo are very very very easy to install, so it doesn’t make any sense to buy extra bases, and they don’t even make them actually
r/parentsofmultiples • How to avoid slide into bankruptcy over car seats ->Stick to the nuna pipa rx. Great infant seat. Stroller options are abundant and there really isn't a wrong answer but each one has minor pluses or minuses. Nuna mixx next, uppababy cruz, silvercross reef, and even some of the bugaboo strollers. Personally went with mixx next though but that was because my wife picked it over the others. We don't regret our choice
r/Buyingforbaby • First time mom- travel system recommendations? ->My final 3 strollers came down to the Nuna Mixx Next, the Uppababy Cruz, and the Silvercross Reef. my wife liked the Nuna the most, and we had already decided to get the Nuna Pipa RX infant carseat before hand anyways. My second choice would've been the Reef but damn that thing is expensive. That's the 1 con about silvercross.
r/Buyingforbaby • Car seat stroller combo? ->Nuna customer service is top notch and its rated one of the best seats out there.
r/Costco • how good is Graco 4Ever DLX Grad car seat? or would you recommend us something else? my baby is 6 months old almost 7 ->Nuna strollers and car seats with specifically the merino lining. The lightest version of the Pipa that had a reflex clip in base and could be used without the base. Things that we got after attempting alternatives because we love traveling: A dedicated travel stroller that fits in the overhead of airplanes. Cybex libelle. The travel bag for the nuna pipa car seat. The seat is light and so it’s a good item have as a backpack. You can also jam a load of diapers in the space saving previous suitcase space. Baby Bjorn Travel Crib. It’s so light and easy to set up. Gave us much more options for locations we could stay.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->I went with the cheapest Nuna travel system. It was around $800 for both the infant car seat and stroller combined. I’m hoping it’s good enough quality that I can use it for my second. It’s honestly super nice… but getting a stroller and car seat that was green guard certified was a top priority for me. I don’t want my baby exposed to excess chemicals and flame retardant fumes. I really hated that it was so expensive though.
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->This is a new limit. Our Pipa urbn purchased just last fall goes up to 22 lbs. So if it currently says 30 lbs, that must be only for a model put out within the last year.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Uppababy Vista V2 for the win! We didn’t like the uppababy car seats so went with the Nuna Pipa RX and got the adapter. It’s super easy to snap on and both are working really well for us. I also was dead set on a bassinet attachment and am really glad I followed through because we love it and use it all the time. Baby is 1 month old and we use the bassinet attachment when we go out to dinner. She sleeps so well in it! We also use it daily for walks.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->i love my pipa urbn! it’s honestly so easy to place and remove and i love knowing i can just clip it in any vehicle
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->What year is your RAV4 I have a 2020 and my Urbn doesn’t seem to fit well. Way too much wiggle. We are waiting to hear back from Nuna about it. We don’t want to rely on the seatbelt if that’s the whole purpose of the latch 😭
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->That makes sense. Yea I adjusted the back seat as much as I could. I’m officially annoyed. I got mine from pottery barn and no one mentioned that this was a possibility. I guess I should have looked for the vehicle compatibility manual that I just found online a few minutes ago…what a waste
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->We have the Nuna Pipa URBN and LOVE it!! This is our first baby though so we don’t have much experience with any other car seat. We initially bought the regular Pipa that uses a base and it made our passenger seats virtually unusable (2016 BMW X5 and 2019 Volvo XC-90). The URBN sits lower on the seat due to not using a base and fits much better. It is a breeze to get in and out of our cars, easy and stress free to use in others’ cars, and I love that when I don’t have his car seat in my car all the seats are usable (none taken up by a base). I will say we’ve put it in a couple cars where the seat latches are covered with fabric held in place by Velcro and it has to be undone to install, which is less convenient, but hasn’t been a huge deal for us and in those cases we just use the included latch guides. We also heard people say the base is easier to get in and out every day but for us it’s been super easy, but again we only have experience with the baseless! I’ve also heard critiques about the size/weight limit, but my son was 16 lbs (25th percentile) at 6 months and it’s already pretty heavy. I can’t imagine wanting to carry a baby in a bucket seat around past the 22lb URBN limit personally.

r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Not sure how old your little ones are but my 3 month old just took his 3rd flight today. The first two we had him as a lap infant because we had a car seat at the destination. It wasn’t too hard but definitely much easier with him in the car seat. He has a nuna pipa urbn (so you can compare size) & it fit perfectly in between the arms rests. The arm rests do raise as well, but we didn’t need to. The car seat also fit well down the aisle. Southwest allows 2 car seats in a row, but they have to be window & middle seat. Depending how old & if you breastfeed or not but we waited to feed him his bottle until we were taking off so that his first burping we could take him out of the car seat. If you have a seat for the child they have to be in the car seat during takeoff & landing which is somewhat difficult when they are so little especially if you breastfeed. If you aren’t going to offer a bottle a pacifier works too because they need to pop their ears manually on the way up & down. Depending on age as well being new toys that they have never seen before as it will occupy them longer. If they are still little they will most likely just sleep the whole time. Lastly, remember this is a form a public transportation. Children & babies are allowed to act like children & babies. Don’t be embarrassed or get overwhelmed by other people (easier said than done I know). You got this!!
r/SouthwestAirlines • First flight EVER, two kids in car seats, and I have a few questions. ->We got the full travel system in a bundle - actually the pram place we got it from agreed to price match to a deal we found online, so we got it for almost 50% off which was crazy. The car seat, isofix base, buggy chassis, bassinet and stroller seat all came in the bundle along with a foot muff, two rain covers and different adapters. The Pipa Lite is only up to a certain weight limit or 12 months I believe, whichever came first. So our heavy boy actually outgrew that by 9 months but we will obviously get a second use out of it with this baby so not too great a loss. The stroller has had much more longevity for us and we would be continuing to use it with him for a while yet if we didn't need it for baby!
r/BabyBumps • Can’t decide on which stroller to get ->But the Urban has the latch anchors built in which is way easier than using the Pipa baseless.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->I have heard the Uppababy car seats have improved from when I was looking but will always suggest a Nuna infant car seat over an Uppababy for the simple fact that Nuna car seats are compatible with many different brands of strollers should you have different needs with a possible baby #2 or if you travel by plane and bring a smaller travel stroller. What are you planning to do with your stroller? Are you outdoorsy people? Will it mostly be used indoors or on smooth sidewalks? Do you live in the suburbs and need to load it in and out of the car frequently? How important is storage to you?
r/Buyingforbaby • First time mom- travel system recommendations? ->I got the basic Skip Hop backpack style that you see everywhere. Works great so far, holds a lot. Infant car seat and stroller was also really hard for us to decide. We live in a suburban area, no plans to go running or off roading with our stroller haha. We got the Nuna TRVL LX and Nuna Pipa Air car seat. You can snap the car seat into the stroller, and the stroller goes almost flat so we used it for walks starting around 1 month old. Both stroller and car seat are incredibly light weight and easy to manage, 10/10 recommend. Unfortunately not at the point of convertible car seat yet but looking into Evenflo revolve and Cybex Callisto
r/BabyBumps • Tell me what freaking diaper bag, car seat and stroller to buy. My brain is melting. ->We have a Bugaboo Fox 5 and the adjustable height is great for my husband and I - we’re both tall. We got the stroller for a great deal on GoodBuyGear. We use it with a Nuna Pipa RX.
r/Buyingforbaby • Best travel system for a baby? ->We’ve been pleased with our Nuna Pipa RX and intend to get a Rava when he outgrows the Pipa. We need a more compact front to back seat anyway, but even if we didn’t we’d still be sticking with Nuna.
r/Buyingforbaby • Tell me your car seat recommendation! ->We personally got a car seat that would be compatible with both the full sized and travel stroller. We did a Nuna seat and Bugaboo strollers, and I think a lot of seats work with those Maxi-Cosi type adapters. I’ve heard fantastic things about the Clek. Do we use the seat with the travel stroller often? Not at all. Is it even necessary? Probably not. Is it nice to have? Yes. Would I be mad at myself in a situation where it would be handy if I *hadn’t* gotten a compatible car seat/travel stroller combo? Absolutely. So, completely necessary? Nah. But if you’re even questioning it, that means you’ll probably find yourself in a situation later on where you will appreciate just going ahead with it.
r/Buyingforbaby • Travel stroller with car seat compatibility necessary? ->Infant car seat?? Nuna Pipa RX!!!
r/Buyingforbaby • Tell me your car seat recommendation! ->I think you'll be happy with either stroller - but I would really recommend looking at Nuna car seats instead of UB. UB just doesn't design their seats as well and there are more issues with fit than Nuna ever has. Do you expect another kid in the near future? I prefer the fold of the Demi to the Vista. I get so annoyed with closing the Vista and opening it, but it is a dream to push! I also love that the Demi comes with a built in mosquito net, and the second kid seat is not reduced limits like on the Vista. I never even tried the Demi unfortunately and I regret it!!
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->I love my mom cozy stroller and the nuna car seat! It’s a travel system which is so worth it in my opinion
r/NewParents • What stroller/carseat to buy? ->Night nurse and/or postpartum overnight doula. Few nights a week for however many weeks you can comfortably afford. Worth. Every. Penny. As for goods: Thule jogging stroller has been fantastic for us, though we walk frequently and on subpar roads/trails. We went with the Nuna Pipa Lite car seat and liked it, but have the UppaBaby Vista 2 as our stroller chassis and wish we’d just bought a compatible UppaBaby car seat (to deal with less converters and components). A good, breathable crib mattress is a must. We’ve liked the Newton. Lastly, the Baby Brezza is a game changer if you formula feed at all. The rest we’ve gotten a ton of mileage out of gently used and secondhand: clothes, toys, accessories, etc.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->We chose the Aria and Vista and love the combo. Ours is a V2, but overall I think the V3 is close enough that I’d recommend the pair. I think with either seat your kid is probably going to be out by about the 6m mark give or take a bit. My SIL’s baby was out of the Nuna Aire and the travel version at 5m and when I put my baby in those seats he’s not really any better. They’re close in age and no one expected such a short use time, so we put my shorter baby in as a tester. With the safety aspect in mind, the Aria and the Aire are pretty similar. Both have a load leg, both have an anti rebound bar, both have the same type of full foam padding throughout the seat. I’m not sure there is any further data available to determine which is safer. We liked the Aria because it’s cheaper and clicks straight into the Minu and Vista. I think we needed a set of adapters for the Minu…probably…but I just can’t 100 percent remember off the top of my head. We mostly used the bassinet, not the car seat, but it was so nice having options. Also, the Aria has a pull ring to adjust the padding whereas you have to undo more of the seat on the Aire. If weight is a concern, the Aria is technically lighter by a noticeable amount, although you do get stronger over time. I’m disabled and have surprised myself a ton now at 6m. The Vista frame is nbd to get into the car now. YMMV of course and I do think the lighter seats are worth the money. Cruz vs Vista wise, I’d go with the Vista. The wheels are bigger and so it will be smoother for you and the baby.
r/Buyingforbaby • First time mom- travel system recommendations? ->If that’s the one you want and you know you don’t want a base, then no, it’s probably the best baseless one out there. The rigid latch thingies make it more secure and easier to use than routing the belt around. If you don’t think you’ll actually need the baseless feature then I’d get one with a base that can be used baseless if the need arises. We had the Uppababy Aria and the Nuna urban and strongly preferred the Aria. Well, strongly preferred having a base. Both seats are nice, but I do think the base is more secure and it’s so much faster.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->CPST- feel free to PM me for more details or suggestions. Basically some of the more expensive brands are more complicated to install or are outgrown more quickly. For instance the nuna infant seat needs a rolled towel to get it level in most vehicles. Uppababy infant seats are outgrown very quickly. You mentioned Clek but Clek is one brand that is very recommended by techs. I own 3 of them myself. The Clek liing is one of the most highly recommended infant seats on the market. We couldn't use it in our vehicles because we have Ev's but that would have been my top pick otherwise. We own 3 Clek foonfs. The Clek also has adaptors for uppababy strollers if you go that route.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • General Question about infant car seats & CPST recommendations. [NS] ->Keep the Nuna carseat, get a Cybex Gazelle with bassinet attachment and/or Nuna carseat adapter attachment. Done.
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller/Carseat Situation - Someone please just tell me what to do ->We got our Nuna car seat from Kidsy at a discount because it was overstock. It was brand new and arrived super fast
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Any tips for affordable but reliable car seats? ->Wait I have Nuna Pipa and no other Nuna stuff … you can buy just a Nuna car seat
r/Buyingforbaby • Joie mint latch ->Nuna Pipa Aire RX can be used with or without base if that helps https://nunababy.com/usa/pipa-aire-rx
r/Buyingforbaby • Joie mint latch ->Just my two cents but seeing the Aria next to the Pipa Aire—the Aria is so much smaller, length wise. If you’re expecting a tall baby, I’d consider the Pipa car seat with the Uppababy stroller system. Baby will outgrow the Aria by length much quicker than the Pipa.
r/Buyingforbaby • First time mom- travel system recommendations? ->We love the Nuna Pipa Urbn, we’re in the UK. We have the Nuna travel system so it’s been very convenient.
r/newborns • First time parents- Car Seat recommendation ->Sometimes Nordstrom discounts Nuna products. We got our infant car seat on Black Friday a few years back for my first.
r/BabyBumps • Black Friday deals…?? ->We have the Nuna Pipa (regular) and used it with our Vista stroller with the help of adapter clips. 10/10, would do again, it was the perfect combo for us and I highly recommend.
r/AskNYC • Parents without cars - best infant car seat for taxis/Ubers? ->I think personal preference, personality, first time parents, and overconsumption is a huge part of this. As a FTM, husband and I wanted to splurge specifically on a nuna system (mainly because you didn’t need a base in every car to use and I see resale ones on FB marketplace), but were lucky as heck a grandparent wanted to gift us the funds for it… Aside from that initial planned investment, I asked for pre-loved clothes at my shower. Registered for a microwave sterilizer vs a machine. Couldn’t decide on a carrier bc they are overwhelming to pick and so expensive, so I settled for a boba wrap at least for the newborn phase. Even though they were gifts I wasn’t paying for, I didn’t want to contribute to overconsumption. Curious if there are specific items you are looking for? You got this!
r/NewParents • Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? ->Consider a Nuna Urbn car seat, easily installs in cabs or whatever car quickly. I’d get that instead of a Doona, but maybe get a travel stroller it can connect to that would then grow with your child - like the Minu, Butterfly, or Trvl. You’ll end up wanting both a full-size stroller and a travel eventually, might as well just do it now. (I say this as someone who was firmly in the One Stroller Only camp, lol, I was so naive.)
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->I liked my nuna and found it very easy and lightweight (had a c section so that helped) I also had a nuna car seat but with us wanting a second kid I do regret getting the nuna!
r/NewParents • Car Seats and Strollers ->My son hates nuna - we switched to graco and he was so much happier. But there is a stage where they just hate the car seat in general though
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Are Maxi Cosi and Nuna Car Seats Worth the Money? [MB] ->I’ve used it with both my babes and love it
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->We live in Chicago and did extensive research. Was between the Doona and the YoYo. Went in person and ended up with the Nuna which wasn’t even on my radar as an option. We got the Nuna trvl lx with the pipa urbn car seat. Bundle is $950. The biggest thing for me was safety and the ability to handle the stroller in an urban area alone. You press a single button and homie folds up like a dream and isn’t heavy at all. While it was ok… The issue with the Doona was it’s a multi step process and not one you can do alone while holding a baby in one arm. The Nuna stroller is newborn and toddler ready which was a huge plus for us. Car seat easily pops in and is a dream in terms of putting in the car without the need for a base. You can also attach with a seatbelt. Overall very happy with our purchase!! Highly encourage you to look in person to make the best decision.
r/BabyBumps • Can someone please explain stroller/ car seats and what I actually need 😭 so completely overwhelmed with options ->This. I was surprised at the heaviness. I was pleasantly surprised with holding the Nuna and the car seat and I wasn’t really struggling.
r/BabyBumps • Can someone please explain stroller/ car seats and what I actually need 😭 so completely overwhelmed with options ->Nuna Pipa Urbn. Love it and don’t need a base. Easily clips into cars or can be seat belted in. TBH it’s worth the money. We have thrown that guy into so many cars and it’s extremely easy to use.
r/BabyBumps • Best Infant Car Seat when we have no car? ->We felt exactly the same. It’s so overwhelming. We ended up going for the Nuna Mixx Next and I’m quite happy with it. It folds easily and fits in the back of my VW Polo (I have to pop a wheel off but that’s super easy), not heavy (I had a c-section) and it’s not bulky like some others. I also really love the “dream shade”. We bought a bundle in the end with the Nuna Pipa Urban car seat and what I really like about that is it’s baseless, so we can easily swap it between cars and even a taxi if need be. Those are things I’d consider, as well as how big and accessible the basket is and whether you have to completely take it apart when you fold it.
r/BeyondTheBumpUK • Headache over the pram and car seat question ->This was me! I had a Pipa Lite and a Mixx and was very happy with them, no bassinet needed. I will say that I wish I had gone for a regular Pipa instead of Lite - the lite doesnt have the full sunshade, which I wanted, and it cannot be used without a base. Things to consider!
r/beyondthebump • car seat + stroller + bassinet combo ->After lots of shopping around, we went with the Nuna PIPA urbn and Demi Next. Was able to try different combos (mainly UPPAbaby and Nuna) in our vehicles and really liked the one we chose.
r/Buyingforbaby • Best travel system for a baby? ->We went with the Nuna Demi Next and Pipa URBN. This will be our first too and we’d love a similar age gap to you. The Demi Next can be a double stroller but also came with a fun rider board attachment. We also like that the car seat is baseless.
r/Buyingforbaby • Stroller and infant car seat recommendations, budget ~$1500 ->Depending on where you are and when you’re giving birth your baby bucket could be essential. I gave birth in Quebec in December so the idea of just having a convertible car seat and a stroller with a bassinet was not a good option. We ended up with a Nuna pipa urbn car seat, it’s super light and can click into any car without a base, which is epic for travel. Then we have a bugaboo fox and a bugaboo butterfly both with adapters for the car seat. I honestly love my strollers and my car seat; they’re very practical and very nice looking. The fox is quite bulky but it was amazing in winter, we call it the beast. The butterfly lives in the trunk of my car and is used for all indoor activities and travel. We’ve gotten a shitload of mileage out of it honestly. Our baby is almost 1 and she is still in the infant seat (she’s mini to be fair). We have a convertible seat on deck (a Nuna Rava recommended by a friend) but we haven’t even unboxed it because the car seat is so convenient. Last thing I’ll add - bugaboo has incredible customer service and went above and beyond with a warranty claim I had (it was actually my fault I stepped on the bassinet and cracked a piece). It’s helpful to know that when you’re dropping a bunch of money on these items they are built to last and the manufacturers stand behind them and aren’t a nightmare to deal with. Thanks for coming to my ted talk!!!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller and Carseat Recommendations [ON] ->I don’t have a full system but the nuna car seat and its adapters work well with our stroller (babyzen yoyo). We do find it’s easier to release one side at a time.
r/NewParents • Are all stroller/car seat travel systems awful? ->Nuna is about the parent conveniences. I had a Nuna infant car seat and it was super simple to strip and wash, intuitive to use the buckles, had simple but critical things like a hook to place car seat belts, and was a breeze to adjust and tighten. I curse my current car seat every time I have to use it and miss the nuna luxuries lol. I would just compare for features. Of the joie has all the similar features just maybe less cushy fabrics. I’d say that’s a good bargain version.
r/NewParents • Nuna or Joie ->Oh you're totally fine! We have expensive seats. (Nuna, Britax, and Evenflo 360) A couple of the seats, were bought for our oldest before we had twins, but I have found that the Graco seats are still really nice and easy to install/clean. My friend has the extend2fits, and I wish I had gotten something like that. The Nuna's and the Evenflo 360 are such pains to take apart and clean.
r/parentsofmultiples • Growing out of infant car seats... Am I missing something, or am I about to spend $1500 on 4 new car seats? ->I highly recommend looking at the Nuna URBN car seat. There are a couple different stroller pairs you can get with it, we have the TRVL. But the URBN doesn’t require a base which is amazing for traveling. The TRVL stroller is light weight, one hand open and close. We loved the set so much, especially has big travelers.
r/BabyBumps • Stuck between Nuna and Uppababy ->Personally I don’t get the Doona for NYC. If you’re in the suburbs and getting in and out of a car all day, then sure. But for what you’re describing, I would get something like the Nuna Travel (or whatever it’s called). The Nuna car seats clip right on, they’re easy to fold, and you can use the stroller after the baby graduates out of in infant carrier (sooner than you think!). And Nuna has a baseless car seat now, and I think their other ones work with just the seatbelt. The Doona is also kind of small for an infant seat I think, compared to the Nuna.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->The lighter Nuna car seat was absolutely worth it for me as a petite woman. Also getting the matching Nuna TRVL stroller with the one handed open/close that doesn’t require any additional pieces for that car seat to click into it was a game changer for travel when kiddo was an infant. We also have the Nuna Rava now which is extraordinarily comfy. Feel bad when we travel and we put the kid in a cheaper car seat that’s more portable. The difference is incredibly noticeable. The Tripp Trapp we also love with the various attachments for each stage of life. If my next kid is not a good sleeper, I’ll rent the snoo. Didn’t need it with my first. ETA: Again for travel, the Guava Lotus and Slumperpod are also amazing to have. Plus the No Reception Club carry-on and diaper bags.
r/HENRYfinance • What baby items were worth splurging on? ->I have a two month old with the Nuna pipa urbn car seat and TRVL lx stroller. Not cheap but I got them bundled together, on sale at Nordstrom pre tariff price increases. I am liking both! We live in an urban environment in an apartment and have a compact car. Urbn considerations - no base so can be used in any car and Ubers. Very lightweight and easy to use, but the weight and height limits are lower than the other pipas, so take that into consideration if you think you’ll have a big baby. TRVL lx - no complaints, it’s super lightweight, compact, and easy to use, and is sturdy enough for a travel stroller, but it doesn’t have parent facing, doesn’t have a bassinet attachment option, and is not compatible with plane overhead bins. We ended up getting a midsize stroller too (cybex balios and bassinet attachment - on sale at Albee baby pre tariff increases) and really like it for the bassinet attachment. Plus it’s very sturdy but not as huge as a full-size like an uppababy vista (my friends with vistas are jealous of it). Now we have two strollers that cover all of our needs which is fine but I do wish we just had 1. If I were to do it all again, I’d look at the joolz aer because it’s a travel stroller that’s overhead bin compatible and has a bassinet attachment.
r/NewParents • Infant travel systems - new parents ->I don't know why everyone is recommending the doona. If you're walking around NYC - it will not be a comfortable stroller. With all the cracks and bumps on the street. With zero storage. Hard Pass. You can get a regular nuna pipa rx. You can strap the baby into any car. And get adapters to click into other strollers like Uppababy.
r/AskNYC • Parents without cars - best infant car seat for taxis/Ubers? ->Honestly, you could do the vista and just get a car seat like the Pipa Nuna Urbn, which uses the seatbelt to secure your baby. Super quick and convenient. You'll just need to purchase the car seat adapters. The Doona has no suspension and would probably be really unpleasant to push around Brooklyn. I have the cruz V2 - which I love for Brooklyn sidewalks and the Minu V2. Both feel sturdy and indestructible really. Uppababy will be releasing a newer version of the Minu next year.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->Ahh well I have the Cruz and I love it. A lot of people dislike the configurations of the vista but the new model seems nicer. I would go with the seats over the bassinet and just add a snug seat to it. I would go nuna for the car seat. It’s all around a favorite. Every baby is different but I’ve ever head anybody really dislike it.
r/Buyingforbaby • First time mom- travel system recommendations? ->We also have this stroller. Along with a mixx next because where we live some of the roads are cobblestone. Plus the bassinet attachment We wanted a heavy duty stroller that could be taken on grass/cobblestone, one that could be used for travel that was easy to fold and the safety of the pipa aire was very nice.
r/pregnant • What brand/type of stroller/car seat are you getting? ->Nuna is so easy to install compared to others. I found it rarely "moves", unless I did something wrong installing it. I thought our Graco moved too much no matter what.
r/Costco • how good is Graco 4Ever DLX Grad car seat? or would you recommend us something else? my baby is 6 months old almost 7 ->The URBN only goes up to 22lbs. My babies hit that around 4-6 months so it wasn’t a good option for us if we wanted to keep them in an infant bucket longer. The Aire goes up to 30lbs and the RX goes up to 32lbs. They usually max out the weight before height.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Nuna Pipa Urbn and Demi Next travel system! I cannot WAIT to buy it. Big plus for me is that it can be a double stroller. We plan on having a second so if I can get one stroller than that’s the goal. It folds very easily and feels sturdy.
r/pregnant • What brand/type of stroller/car seat are you getting? ->I am down this deep dark rabbit hole currently. I was leaning uppa, but then I read their infant car seats have a bad “chin to chest” issue. You can get a nuna infant seat to fit the vista v2/v3 but then I’m like, why not just go all nuna at that point. So now I’m looking at the nuna Demi next stroller with the pipa aire infant seat and then when they grow out of that we’ll switch to a convertible car seats. I want the bassinet attachment also not just for walks but for traveling naps and if the bay falls asleep on our walks they can just keep sleeping in the bassinet but with the infant seat they can’t.
r/Buyingforbaby • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Vista car seat is too large and bulky. Get the Nuna travel system. I HATE my uppa baby vista. It’s so large and bulky. I ended up buying the Nuna Triv. I originally bought the Nuna Trvl LX, but returned it
r/NewParents • What stroller/carseat to buy? ->Second this with the Nuna Pips and adaptors
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->I lived in Carroll gardens til my first baby was 17 months, and had a vista and a yoyo with a nuna car seat that can click into both without needing to buy the bassinet for either stroller. You can really only use the bassinet for 8 weeks and the doona for about a year so I would skip it. Time goes by so fast and the lifespan of these items is short, so the less you have to buy and then get rid of a few months later the better! I Have two kids now, 3 and 1, and we use the vista as a double for long walks zoo, botanic garden, things like that, but avoid bringing it into any Brooklyn sized shops (live in park slope/ Windsor terrace now) and never would bring it on the train as a single or double. You need a baby carrier and a smaller stroller for that type of thing. Congrats and good luck! 😁
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->I just scored a deal for a Nuna car seat and stroller system through Crate & Barrel, about $350 off around a month or two ago? Color wasn’t my top choice (we got the navy/ocean blue and I love the look of the black and the brown leather detail, but for almost $400 off I’ll take the navy lol)
r/BabyBumps • Black Friday deals…?? ->I have the urbn and it’s so easy to take in and out. I will say though, some cars we’ve tried to put it in, it just doesn’t seem to fit well. My car-Toyota rav4 it fits great in and doesn’t wiggle. My mom’s car though, a ford edge- it has so much wiggle room it’s insane. The seat just doesn’t work right with it. I had to get a different seat because I just felt like it wasn’t safe enough. I got a seat withal a base and I honestly feel like it’s so much more secure and feel way better
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Ours is older, I believe 2015. We do have to put the seat up into an upright position for the car seat to be snug. We actually just stopped using the nuna altogether though bc I felt like it doesn’t recline enough. I felt like my baby was always chin to chest in it
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->People’s suggestions to check airline policy is good but we’ve been on 2 international trips now where our kid has her own seat with a car seat and still got some weird reactions. Not so much when we went to Asia, but when we went to Europe. Both KLM and Air France, the airlines we flew with, had policies online that stated kids under 2 with their own seat needed an approved car seat or buckle system (forget the correct term). Both also said rear facing for takeoff landing and front facing once cruising. In both cases cabin crew were EXCEEDINGLY confused by the presence of the car seat. KLM in the end left us alone (but did amusingly kept referring to the seat as the maxi cosi despite it being a nuna). Air France didn’t let us use the seat at all during takeoff and landing and then removed the seat while we were in the bathroom to try to look for the flight approved sticker. They eventually let us keep it when we found the sticker for them. Anywho, I’ve since gathered car seats on plane is a very American thing so just be prepared and know where the stickers are.
r/toddlers • Travelling with toddler in 3 weeks, do they need a car seat on plane? ->> see people complaining about how much of a pain it is to take a baseless car seat in and out Have you seen people complain about the URBN for taking in/out being a pain? It is one of the few seats that has the feature that makes it easy (rigid latch). Most infant seats *are* a pain to use baseless because you have to use the seatbelt, looped through slots on the base, adjust recline angle, etc.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->I have the Nuna tavo travel system, it came bundled with the Nuna pipa urbn car seat, I LOVE it. The stroller converts to a bassinet on its own with no extra attachments, and the car seat sits right in with no attachments either. I have a small car and the stroller and car seat fit in perfectly! I couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s my fav gift I got at my baby shower
r/beyondthebump • Car seat + Stroller ->We used a Nina Pipa - I think we needed to get adapters for the Vista but it worked great.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->Damn what a gift. A neighbor buys Amazon pallets for fun & had like 20 nuna car seats in there. He sold us one for $30.
r/AskLosAngeles • Okay, but WHY can't you order uber with car seat from LAX? ->As for car seat I’d go for Nuna Pipa RX lite. You can put it in a taxi without a base. Works with an adapter to the vista and also tons of other strollers.
r/nycparents • Brooklyn Stroller Recommendation- Doona and Uppababy Vista? ->I love my Nuna Pipa Urbn - so lightweight and can install/remove in seconds, without sacrificing safety. I don’t own a car so having a light and baseless car seat for easy install was a priority (i Uber sometimes) - might not be as important for you tho.
r/Buyingforbaby • Tell me your car seat recommendation! ->Absolutely Nuna Pipa RX for infant car seat, will get the RAVA once my baby becomes bigger😊
r/Buyingforbaby • Tell me your car seat recommendation! ->Using it at the moment. It takes 5 seconds in and out. You will love it.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->Late to this conversation. I LOVED this car seat. So convenient.
r/Buyingforbaby • Did I make a mistake getting the Nuna PIPA URBN? ->This was me a month ago. I did all the research and reading online and was so overwhelmed. I didn’t think there was a baby boutique in our city so we went to Nordstrom. The sales girl there was only knowledgeable about Nuna strollers/seats so she showed us those and I was pretty overwhelmed by all the options. Then my husband found a baby boutique in a city 3 hours away so we took a day trip. That was amazing. They had a dedicated sales person go through all their products and demoed everything. Very thorough. They had a regular car seat there with a seatbelt to show you how to strap these infant car seats in without the base. And I also felt I was less overwhelmed this time bc I had already seen them once. Then they told me there was a baby boutique in my city lol. So third time I went to the store in my city. This time we pretty much know which one we wanted but wanted to check out swatches and compare some minor details and had some additional questions. So I highly recommend going to a store to check these out. Another pro is that they’ll usually let you take the floor model car seats out and test it in your car. You want to make sure it fits bc once opened, they can’t be returned. Con is they usually only have the most expensive brands and once you look at these, the cheaper brands will look like crap lol. My husband keeps going up to cheaper stroller and shaking them and say this is not a sturdy as UB lol. So we decided on the Nuna Pipa RX with the base. My husband wanted the anti rebound feature which is in the base. We’re just getting one bc we use my car 90% of the time. We were debating between this and UB Aria bc the Aria is so light. But the sales person told us the Aria is shorter so babies outgrow it faster. Although a new version is coming out soon. He said most babies will outgrow a car seat height wise before weight. For stroller we’ll probably go with the UB Vista. I wanted the Minu bc it’s so light and compact, can lay flat, and has a strap for carrying but my husband wants big wheels. Then I was considering the Cruz bc it’s slightly smaller and more easy to maneuver. But I don’t think I can wait for the Cruz V3 bc I’m due in September. And we also want to have 2 kids back to back if everything goes well. Sorry for such a long comment lol.
r/Buyingforbaby • Help! Drowning in a Car Seat and Sea of Strollers - Need a Lightweight Safe Travel System for a Newborn that they can grow into. ->Yes the Nuna pippa lite rX can be used in ubers/cars without a base. You can then clip it to many travel strollers with an adapter. Your kid will grow out of it by 2 though.
r/nycparents • Life After Doona? ->I live in Singapore. Many of our friends got the Doona Car seat and Stoller which folds up easily from a stroller into a car seat and then put into a Grab. We chose the Nuna car seat which is light and can latch into most Grabs easily. It can attach to our stroller. These are infant car seats which are easier to install. Once they get too big for them you either can use Grab Kids which has a car seat in it or find a different model. We chose to use the Maxi Cosi Nomad which is a more portable toddler car seat.
r/Parenting • Please explain car seats to me! ->I also went with the Doona for travel and uppababy for the stroller / bassinet. However, I read a ton of similar complaints about the car seat so I went with the Nuna car seat. It easily snaps in to the uppababy with the attachment and works really well.
