How is it nicer...? At this point it's basicly pay 600 more for A LITTLE bit more brightness aand NO KVM or get the Dell and do get KVM. Absolute nobrainer

I think it's a refreshing change for smaller markets to get it first. Makes logistical sense since the Country of Origin is China and Vietnam, according to the [AW3926QW Fact & Spec Sheet](https://dell.egnyte.com/fl/YpFKg4vdV7y4?ref=dell.alienwarearena.com#folder-link/EMBARGOED%20May%2031%20%40%207pm%20ET%20-%20XPS%2013%20%26%20Alienware%20Monitors/Alienware%2039%205K%20OLED%20Gaming%20Monitor%20(AW3926QW)/Fact%20%26%20Spec%20Sheet). Computex is also being held in Taipei this week. I was actually eyeing the LG 39GX950B since its announcement at CES 2026 in Jan 2026, but LG was (and still is) dawdling on the release here in Singapore. LG Singapore remains tight-lipped about the local release date, and no updates for Asia were given in the [official Reddit post on its global pre-order launch schedule](https://www.reddit.com/r/LG_UserHub/comments/1ssff3o/lg_ultragear_evo_39gx950b_27gm950b_preorder/) aside from Japan. The [Q&A on LG Korea](https://www.lge.co.kr/monitors/39gx950b) suggests that the first few batches of the monitor were insufficient to meet demand. ~~That, combined with~~ [~~LG Singapore's warranty for the "OLED Gaming Monitor" category being limited to only a year~~](https://www.lg.com/sg/support/warranty-terms/)~~, makes it a no-brainer for me to go for the Alienware.~~ I extended the warranty for my Alienware AW3418DW (3+2 years), and they let me do an Advanced Exchange Service for monitor flickering when overclocked from 100 to 120 Hz (overclock is usually not guaranteed). Best warranty policy of any monitor company, hands down. **EDIT**: Credit to LG Singapore, looks like they actually listened to our feedback and changed the warranty to 3 years! Doesn't look like there's an option to extend, though.

I think the main differences for me are the Dolby Vision certification and KVM on the Alienware. The LG has AI upscaling, but it only seems to work when running at 1080p with the current firmware. Personally, I use DLSS and don't have a game console, so I will not run anything lower than native resolution. Then you have the OLED Care features, which Alienware describes as "*intelligent pixel management technology that actively predicts and stabilizes usage patterns to prevent degradation*", while LG has a "*Pixel Cleaning*" feature. Not sure which technique is more effective, or if they actually have both (just undocumented). Regardless, I think the 3-year burn-in warranty of the Alienware offers better peace of mind compared to LG (2 years; ~~just 1 year in some markets like Singapore~~). **EDIT**: Credit to LG Singapore, looks like they actually listened to our feedback and changed the warranty to 3 years! Doesn't look like there's an option to extend, though.

You can see the glossy panel in this video. I think that seals the deal for most people, especially if the price is lower than the LG equivalent. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mYI1cDUVSM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mYI1cDUVSM)

I have a 5070ti and damn that is a big FPS hit. I plan to use my current aw3423dw for simracing in a future rig and get the new Alienware 5k as my new main. DLSS performance and frame gen is basically turned on permanently with this monitor

No issues at all with matte. I want to be able to use my computer in daylight without looking in a mirror.. I know the colors will look far better on an glossy panel, but I really cant stand reflections..other than the panel, the alienware sounds better featurewise mhh

Someone already tested SDR brightness on Computex, he measured 320nits vs 300 announced… The only things LG is better on is OSD UX, little brightness but should be limited, and matte coating for those who prefer it, In the other hand, the AW got glossy coating (depending on preferences), RGB Stripe layout, Dolby Vision, Flicker free, eARC, better color volume, KVM, better price….

Sorry our paycheck makes us sad that we can pay for those screens… you already judged KVM without even trying it or checking reviews 😂 but the LG one has also its own cons. WOLED has grey banding issues, and RGB Stripe subpixels reduce that…

You can try hard 🤣 as I said, « WOLED has grey banding, and RGB Stripe subpixels REDUCE that », I am not seeing people reporting that KVM issue that much to be worried about, not as much as grey banding, already reported in early adopters. And just to let you know, I preordered the 39GX950B, and cancelled it, the AW looks more interesting for my usage, will see and choose when both are out. Also, this screen is not QD OLED, it’s LG’s same 39GX950B Tandem WOLED with custom subpixel layout, without the white subpixel.

Yes. It is glossy and uses RGB stripe for better text clarity. For office use the LG may still be better due to screen reflections.... IDK since the text clarity would also benefit productivity.
