Thanks, TFTCentral and Monitors Unboxed already told us. Love to see all the improvements, but I wish the new gen was a little less glossy, I'm not gonna take my 34 inch ultrawide to the park like it's a laptop, maybe another brand will announce a model based on the same panel but with a different finish in the coming weeks or months unless it's supplied by Samsung that way, otherwise I'll probably have to buy whichever one of the two currently announced models isn't a paper launch or scalped to hell and back. Apparently 3440x1440 at 360 Hz at 8 bit uncompressed is scraping the top edge of the UHBR13.5 spec so you're really lucky I don't care about half-assed HDR, but I hope this difference to the Asus model with UHBR20 is reflected in the price.

Its certainly a good monitor but i decided againsg it and got an asus 34 qd-oled instead. Reason: alienware still uses a chassis fan, while asus uses a large heatsink. I dont like a cheap fan in my monitor.

I just did that myself. Games do run much better on a 34 and the new qd oleds from asus and msi are amazing. They are a bit sharper than previous gen 34s. Not 4k quality but you get used to it pretty quick. Most games I run DLAA or quality on a 4080 super no problem.
