We’ve semi-recently fitted out a new office primarily with the Dell 34” conferencing monitors (built in usb-c dock, camera, mic & speakers); they’re pretty decent. A section of the office runs the 24” version with a second non-VC dell monitor along side for those whose workflow benefited of 2 separate monitors vs an Ultrawide.

I tested those Dell’s side by side. The most noticeable is the outer 5-7cm. With 1900r it’s a good read. With the 3800r i had the feeling i had to move my chair 20cm to the left or right.

I’d recommend against a 34 inch ultrawide for Mac. The PPI just isn’t high enough so text will look jagged or blurry. You can counter this by scaling everything about 50% which causes another issue and that is everything will be to big and you’ll loose a lot of workspace. I’ve sold my 34 inch Dell (which I only owned for about 1.5 year) after 2 weeks of owning a Mac Mini because I couldn’t stand it and went for a 32 inch 16:9 4K monitor. I use it at about 20% scaling (3008px wide if I remember correctly) giving me roughly the same workspace as a 34 inch ultrawide with way sharper text. However since you already use a 27inch 1440p the PPI of a 3440x1440 34inch will be rough the same so if the text currently doesn’t bother you then it could be fine.

I went from a 34 inch 3440x1440 ultrawide from dell to a 32 inch LG glossy 4k oled and I wouldnt go back. Ultrawide is good for sim games and productivity but kinda shitty in other games, at least for me. The standard aspect ratio of 16x9 or 10 is perfect

Tbh I had the same dilemma. I had a dell 34inch 3440x1440 monitor( not oled though) , I thought 16:9 was a thing of the past for me but I was dead wrong. The moment I fired up my 321urx I just fell in love with it.

I do not game but I do have a dual monitor system a 34 widescreen and a 25 vertical one. If you check my timeline you will find the pic. the 34 is.a Dell 3440\*1440 max res and another one is just FHD.

I am running a 4080 Super and I did switch from 3440x1440 monitor. It was and LED/LCD display from Dell so it was a good monitor but it wasn't anything crazy. For me the jump in quality was massive. I'm blown away by how good the OLED panel looks. It's crazy sharp too even with a little DLSS upscaling.
