using an old Dell 34” U3419W that work let me have. 3440x1440. Works well for what I need and it was free. Using the HDMI port.
I've got a Dell U3419W which has a TERRIBLE built-in KVM. It's so unreliable that I wound up having to purchase a separate external USB switch and connect my Mac with two usb-c cables whenever I "dock" it. I'd like to upgrade the monitor, and based on my past trauma my primary requirement is a rock-solid built-in KVM. It'll be connected via USB-C to a MacBook for productivity / work and a PC gaming rig with a 3080ti. I'm happy with the 34" 3440 display. I could go a little bigger; I'm willing to consider a 5K2K, but I would be improving my productivity side for a resolution that my 3080ti might not really support well. I'd love an OLED, but between burn-in issues and text rendering concerns, I think maybe I'm still an LCD guy. Let me know if my concerns are misplaced. Anyway, what monitor would you guys recommend?
For development, I definitely like having a vertical display. I have a 34" curved display (Dell u3419w) with a 24" vertical display (Dell u2419h) off to the right. I'd downsize to a 27" on my primary before I got rid of my second monitor. The curve (1900R) is essentially a gimmick and not noticeable. For my gaming PC, i have a 49" Samsung 5120x1440 monitor. For that one, the curve is definitely helpful.
Im selling my dell ultrawide 34 inch 2k 60hz IPS for 65k lemme know if youre interested
Once you 34-inch, you'll never go bla-----oops--back. On an Ultrasharp 34", 5060Ti 16G, 5700X, 1440p msfs
34" curved. Go get it. In my area, a Dell Curved $420 (non-OLED)
This, I use mine for both software development and gaming. Went the 34" dell ultrasharp 3440x1440. Zero regrets.
