I moved from a 60hz 27" monitor to Gigabyte gs34wqc. This was a very noticeable upgrade for me mainly bc of refresh rate and resolution. The extra side view was also very nice but not life changing. I have it at the point where the wheel shaft ends and the wheelbase "starts". At these close distances, moving the monitor even by an inch makes a difference. Got it used for about $160. Overall this monitor still makes you crave for something like G9 but for someone like me who never experienced a G9 or triples it feels like a good compromise. I am limited in space and I also use it for work (I swing it between my rig and my desk).

I have the 120hz (135hz OC) version of the gigabyte and I like it. And ips panel would be better but for a va panel it’s decent.

I have the gs34wqc which is a slight step down from the g34wqcp you have listed and it was a massive upgrade over my 1080p 60hz monitor from 10 years ago. If they are a decent price either one of those are a good option.

I would throw in the Gigabyte GS34WQC as the perfect Balance, do look up reviews on rtings.com, and don't rely on AI for suggestions. Make sure you have a decent graphic card though. Ultrawide monitors require more horsepower than 1440p screens.

I have the Gigabyte one on my rig and I am super happy with it. Some ghosting in the distance is there (i.e. Nürburgring when you come out of turn 7 and somebody drives through the Dunlop curve) but nothing game breaking. Haven't fiddled with the overdrive settings though. I have a M34WQ (flat ips 34") as my main monitor and am super happy aswell. For the price, the GS34 is great.

Modern high refresh rate VA panels are actually not too bad. I had a Gigabyte 34in ultra wide curved monitor, and the colors were almost as accurate as the LG panel that I used before that. But with the affordability of OLED panels getting cheaper and cheaper in the 34-in ultrawide department, it's either go that or go home now.
