Just ordered one myself since the specs/design look awfully similar to the Q34CHG.MLED165 which itself is apparently a rebrand of the innocn 34M1R, which people say is good. Apart from some minor differences in the srgb, Adobe RGB and dci-p3 percentages, and having lower dimming zones (I think? Couldn't really find anything concrete for the other two mention's dimming zones), it *seems* to be more or less the same monitor ,which is why I'm taking the gamble lol. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Seems like 3/4 of people online avoid kogan monitors (or just kogan in general) like the plague and the other quarter think they're alright and match the quality of the monitors using a-grade panels, so I'm hoping for the best 🤞🏼
Sooo it just came today (supposed to be auspost metro 1 day shipping but ig I ordered at an unlucky time on a Thursday night) but I've only had an hour or so to play around with it so far.. Few random Initial impressions (excuse how it's all over the place) - blacks with local dimming on are awesome - little bit of blooming around cursor, etc but that's to be expected - there is some VA smearing (haven't experimented with overdrive to see how it impacts it yet), but it's a lot better than the VA panels of a few years ago - build quality of the plastic frame is sort of decent? But on mine there's a bit of glue or something visible from a gap in the front between the panel and the frame which is the worst part of it - check the manual which can be found online for all the osd settings - HDMI ports are limited to 100hz on 1440p uw res - the bottom bit is a speaker bar with holes like in the two monitors I mentioned in my initial comment (obv the speakers are bad, but just putting it out there in terms of design) - it has a trashy kogan logo on the bottom left corner, but it's a pretty low quality print so I'm gonna try scraping it off or just taping some electrical tape over it - the monitors osd doesn't have kogan brandjng on it but the start splash screen does, also the actual brand of it in the edid is kogan Australia smth smth which is interesting - haven't tried hdr yet but sdr gets very bright.. having to use it at about 30-40% brightness in my room - size is great coming from a (technically 3, but let's ignore that) 30 inch 1080p ultrawide Idk if Id recommend it yet having just used it for an hour, but so far seems good if you don't mind taking the kogan gamble and VA panels in general and want to try miniled on the cheap. Hope that helps. Lmk if you had any questions in particular
Everything is going well so far, just the same complaints/quirks from my comment above. The biggest issue with it is that the va ghosting on it is pretty bad compared to my MSI ips monitor mounted above it, but to me it's worth it for the blacks at this price point.
