LG OLED 34 GX900A. I’ve had it since Black Friday and it’s fantastic. I’ve owned OLED TVs since 2018, and wanted one for my computer set up.
Sounds like a resolution scaling issue you’re having. Anyways, to help OP I have this exact LG model for both PC and my MBP, works great. You shouldn’t have any issue - just be aware that it’s a 1440p monitor with OLED means others have reported text fringing if you’re sensitive to that for productivity. Also being an OLED and if you’re planning to use this for mainly productivity, ie youre going to be having a lot of static images may be risk for burn in, and the OLED display isn’t much of a wow factor in productivity as it is for media consumption. Trust me, I went down a huge rabbit hole switching from my old 34” to this one for productivity to start and mostly got was the blacks looked a little darker on my Mac.. gaming is great though. It’d be more helpful if you described what your main usage out of a monitor would be. I’d get this monitor if you plan on gaming as part of your usage where the OLED panel + 240hz refresh rate shine. Otherwise, there are better options for ultrawides out there
I have the AW3425DW. It is endgame for me. AND I actually tried the LG in store and couldn’t stand the 800r curve. That comes down to preference. They are both excellent monitors. I couldn’t be happier with my Alienware.
I have the LG, but have owned numerous QD OLEDs - I will say this, if you're going to be doing any work on it whatsoever, the LG is the way to go. QD OLED text rendering is brutal.
i have lg same monitor
Have the LG. Amazing monitor because of the space I had to down size from the 45 version.
Smearing and ghosting is essentially a drawback all VAs have, because of the way they display the picture. Same goes for shitty viewing angles on TN and burn-in on OLEDs. No matter how good the technology gets, it can be mitigated, but not entirely solved. TL;DR: all VAs will always have ghosting. Maybe something like this: [https://a.co/d/bfXe6ur](https://a.co/d/bfXe6ur) I'd still try to get an IPS, it's the best technology there is. I've had an OLED for a year now, I'm babying it, still no burn-in, for now. I have this model: [https://a.co/d/gGlpcVZ](https://a.co/d/gGlpcVZ)
I only have experience with the LG ultragear oled panels and they're incredible. Amazon and best buy have some awesome deals on 34"and 45"ultrawide panels right now. I think the 34 inch LG OLED panels would be within budget. I have the 45" version and the monitor is awesome
Amazon has had the LG branded version for $696 lately and I snagged one 2 weeks ago. It's absolutely fantastic. My first game on it was Ghost of Tsushima.
