I have the AW3425DW. It is endgame for me. AND I actually tried the LG in store and couldn’t stand the 800r curve. That comes down to preference. They are both excellent monitors. I couldn’t be happier with my Alienware.

I have the LG, but have owned numerous QD OLEDs - I will say this, if you're going to be doing any work on it whatsoever, the LG is the way to go. QD OLED text rendering is brutal.

Have the LG. Amazing monitor because of the space I had to down size from the 45 version.

Smearing and ghosting is essentially a drawback all VAs have, because of the way they display the picture. Same goes for shitty viewing angles on TN and burn-in on OLEDs. No matter how good the technology gets, it can be mitigated, but not entirely solved. TL;DR: all VAs will always have ghosting. Maybe something like this: [https://a.co/d/bfXe6ur](https://a.co/d/bfXe6ur) I'd still try to get an IPS, it's the best technology there is. I've had an OLED for a year now, I'm babying it, still no burn-in, for now. I have this model: [https://a.co/d/gGlpcVZ](https://a.co/d/gGlpcVZ)

Bought the lg 34 ultrawide oled 240hz. Max fps(so you use the full extend of the monitors refreshrate without FG input lagg). max graphics and full immersion with the widescreen oled. 4k max graphics means you need to upgrade cards every 2 years, and I personally cant play on 60-70 fps anymore. Will also do alot of vrr flicker on oleds when your refreshrate is way higher than your actual fps.

I used a LG 34 oled @ 240hz, it did me right for 2 years (didnt break) and I thought nothing could top it. Then when the LG 5k2k was announced I dream of having it. Now I have it and love it, 5k2k is another level of clarity, and being oled the response time is great for gaming. 165hz is enough for me. The only con is that you do need a beefy gpu, and one that has DP 2.1a. The 7900xt/XTX will work same with the 9070xt, for team green a 5070ti is enough but you will have to sacrifice some settings. A 5080/ti will be the sweet spot and a 5090 is future proof but you'd need to sell a kidney. I used to use a 7800XT but at low setting on overwatch watch it bearly hit 170-185, thus i upgrading to a new 7900xt at my MC (they had a sale + i trade in my gpu) and its can hit 165-170 at high/ultra but I did lower settings to get more fps. I say find one in person on display to get a good feel, I know I don't regret it.

I have a oled 34' uw from LG and I like it a lot! I tried 32' 4k ips on a Lan party side by side and liked the uw format a lot more. But I recommend to test both yourself as it seems to be quite the personal choice
