My wife has a LG 34GX90SA that she uses for gaming and work. Great monitor. Fantastic picture. Clear text in excel and other work apps. Even has smart os and a remote so you can use it as a tv. Only complaint is the shit speakers, but she has a soundbar so no biggie.

I have a oled 34' uw from LG and I like it a lot! I tried 32' 4k ips on a Lan party side by side and liked the uw format a lot more. But I recommend to test both yourself as it seems to be quite the personal choice

I would love to see this in a slightly smaller size. I have the ultra gear OLED 800r curved in a 34” and I think it’s perfect.

Also a developer, I work, game and hobby code on a 34" LG OLED, never had a problem with text fringing or anything like that, the extra workspace is ridiculously helpful. That said, I use multiple editors and multiple applications on the daily, so I dont tend to have one window open in the same place long enough to risk burn in. If you're worried, and have the deskspace, maybe get a cheaper IPS for work/second screen whilst gaming? I cannot and will not give up that Oled look now, just too much better.

Im not sure on the exact model, and I'm not at home to check, but it's one of the LG ultragear ones. I havent used either mentioned in your post, so I can't comment on specifics unfortunately.

32 is sweet spot for 4k. 27 is 1440p. I run a 5090 myself but use a 3550x1440p ultrawide. For me it's the sweet spot as I can just hit the 240hz. Edit: sorry 34 inch. I honestly feel it's the perfect size. I do like the 800r curve.

For under $1000 you can just get a 34 in OLED and it’ll be the best viewing experience you can have. No smearing, HDR, and you get super fast response times

That’s overblown. Idk anyone with burn-in and I’ve had my lg oled for 2 years no burn-in.
