I'm also an early adopter of the LG34UM95 but now I've upgraded to Samsung G85SB, I don't think I'll ever move to a wider screen aspect ratio. 32:9 was born out of manufacturing opportunity that's why it exists, 26:9 or something like that is not possible.

Yes, of course. Believe it or not, but 60hz monitors are still the vast majority, even for ultra wides My now decade+ old LG 34UM95-P is a 60hz 3440x1440 10 bit IPS panel. The new Dell 6K is also 60hz.

I'm happy using a single LG 34" (3440x1440@60Hz). Enough room for 2 pages of A4 size and then some, or e.g. a PDF and some Ghostty splits. And also nice for movies. I usually use my apps in full screen mode. If I ever need more room there's still the possibility of opening the 16" MBP screen (but that happens rarely).

I adore my current LG monitors (2x 34” IPS, 1x 27” IPS), but they’re fairly old now, lack the OLED displays, and I’ve been concerned about upgrading cause larger form factors have had pixel density issues. This seems like the perfect mixture of size, tech, and would fix perfectly into my mixed work from home and gaming setup.

If you get the 34" IPS LG, it's produced a good picture so far.

I still have a 34" LG IPS monitor, it's a good piece of equipment, and until I find the right OLED...👌

I wanted to get it - I stuck with the 34" IPS LG. But the resolution on this and the 38" screen size was super appealing.
