You work setup and usage is similar to mine. Was very happy with LG 34WQ60C - 34 inch - Curved monitor (used with Hp spectre and lenovo laptops for an year, with mac mini M4 couple of days), but unfortunately broke it accidently while setting up the new desk. Then bought Dell S3425DW 34 Plus USB C Curved Monitor. Its a VA panel. I don't know whether this is usual with VA panel or defective product for me, colour production was soooo bad. After 2 weeks continuous follow up with Dellstore now they initiated to pick it up and refund... Awaiting for the return shipment to reach there. Now I am looking back to LG itself. So far my options are \- 34WQ75C - Mostly I may land here \- 38WR85QC-W (Available in LG website for Rs 99,999, but not delivering to my address and; In Amazon 1.3L. I am checking with dealer around here for better price). If you come across anything, please let me know as well.
I'm happy using a single LG 34" (3440x1440@60Hz). Enough room for 2 pages of A4 size and then some, or e.g. a PDF and some Ghostty splits. And also nice for movies. I usually use my apps in full screen mode. If I ever need more room there's still the possibility of opening the 16" MBP screen (but that happens rarely).
I use a 34 curved ips from LG. There are also mini LEDs from TCL.
If you get the 34" IPS LG, it's produced a good picture so far.
I still have a 34" LG IPS monitor, it's a good piece of equipment, and until I find the right OLED...👌
I adore my current LG monitors (2x 34” IPS, 1x 27” IPS), but they’re fairly old now, lack the OLED displays, and I’ve been concerned about upgrading cause larger form factors have had pixel density issues. This seems like the perfect mixture of size, tech, and would fix perfectly into my mixed work from home and gaming setup.
I wanted to get it - I stuck with the 34" IPS LG. But the resolution on this and the 38" screen size was super appealing.
Lg 34 and 38 ultrawides still have one of the best IPS panels up to date for general multi purpose use. I have had LG 38 IPS for few years now and I will upgrade to LG 39 oled 5k2k eventually.
