My tick is to strongly favor VA over IPS. I game a lot in darker environments, as well as watch shows and the occsional movie. VAs don't ghost, at least anything decent this side of lets say 2015-2020I bought an MSI 343CQR in 2021 during Covid. I did my research, and that panel was JUST barely out on the market, with almost no reviews to go by. When I set it up, tomshardware came out with a review stating its mostly pros with basically no cons, and if you adjust the colour, you're almost certainly making it worse, since the factory calibration is surprisingly perfect. Also, IPS still have a lot of glow in darker environments. VA barely has any in comparison and still has very decent blacks. Not OLED levels, but I can leave my va panel on all day, and there is 0 burn in.
Honestly mine is 1000r, and you want to be aligned dead center, so viewing angle isn't really not an angle. I have mouted it to my wall, and am always arm's length away. Palm straight out, not reaching, i can just barely touch it, which gives decent immersion and my eyes never get fatigued looking at it.
I'm pretty sure the one you're looking at is a flat panel instead of curved. There's a similar model from the same brand that's 240hz 1500R curved for $200 but it's also a VA panel so no bump there. However, the Suevery only comes with a 1 year warranty, versus 3 years for the MSI. Personally, I'd go for MSI since it's a known and established brand. Warranty and RMA stuff with otherwise unknown brands often leads to headache.
I use two MSI WQHD 3440X1440 34 inch stacked monitors (one above another) at 144hz. Seems to work well for me.
It shows up $169 on my app and not the price you list, although Google shows it at that price. This 300 brightness vs the sue 380 and this 4000:1 contrast vs sue 1000:1. Feel like you give up something for both, but either at 34" for $180 or less, 1440, curved and 144hz+, seem like good options. I'd probably go with MSI personally for name recognition. If you can save $20, maybe it makes it more compelling for the sue. Sue does come w 2x display ports, so that might be intriguing if you have two PCs or a console you want to run DP to.
tbh I have a VA panel and I love it. Minimal to no ghosting that I can tell, the colors look great. OLED is better, but also 3-4x the cost.
I have an msi 34 inch ultrawide. Both gaming and work. I see no issues here
