I did it! And my friend It’s much better, i Switch from a 4K 240hz alors to the MPG 341CQR… I did the Switch because i have a Lg g5 55inch already and it was Like 2 Times the Same thing in my Home, i wanted to have a better refresh rate for compétitive Games… I have to say that the quality in picture is Almost Not less good than my 32inch 4K but better refresh rate is a very good Upgrade… i will maybe Sell my 5090 for a 5080 because with this résolution i will have the possibility to Save more Money
Proud owner of the MSI MPG341CQR here. Less than a week ago, I almost had a heart attack as I thought the screen went dead. TL;RD; Cat (a 9kg maine coon) bumped into it while playing, screen went completely black. Lots of fidgeting with cables etc. didn't fix it. Luckily it switched back on the next day. Now all of this got me looking into monitors again, and I did notice the launch of the successor: the MPG341CQR X36! I tried to look up alot of comparisons and I understand that QD-OLED smashes my "old" VA panel out of the ballpark easily. However, trying to compare earlier QD-OLED panels versus this X36 model is where it gets a little muddier for me. Supposedly the earlier generations QD-OLED suffered from text fringing, which would have been fixed entirely with this x36 model. Aside from that, it has a really high refresh rate of 360 HZ, higher peak brightness (1300 nits on this model) and the DarkArmor coating to help reduce/eliminate reflections. All of the above sounds really nice; but how would I as an end user really perceive the differences? How big of a difference would it be, stepping up from an older QD-OLED panel to the X36 model? What can you tell me about the color accuracy (out of the box) for this X36 model? I realize the question is somewhat subjective as perception is of course unique from person to person, but going off of "just" numbers doesn't tell me much. When it comes to the faster refresh rate; this isn't something I'm actively looking for, though it's a "nice to have feature" kinda thing. But what I personally care about a whole lot more is pretty imagery and colors on my screen. So, MSI, please sell it to me. I'd love to hear it!
I had the experience of running 341cqr for about 2 years. It’s a VA panel. The asus is an old. Newer, th 341cqr should be extremely affordable by now. You have a 5090. It is very easy to run 341cqr. Get the 4k, make your 5090 do the job you bought it to do. Or get an oled ultrawide.
Hell yea. I’ve been eyeing this one. I actually just got the older version of this monitor and really like it but might return it within the refund window and wait for this one to be available. The no text fringing is a big plus for me. Hopefully it becomes available in the US soon…
Que tal el ghosting? Yo me compré uno similar (MSI 34" VA 3440x1440 144Hz) y el ghosting que tiene eso es tremendo. Para ver películas está bien pero para juegos es muy notorio. Nunca más me compro un panel VA.
In short. For me in my case no. I have both. An older MSI 34 VA 3440x1440 curved which I used to game on and bought a LG C2 42 Oled 2 years ago. Never would go back to the MSI for gaming. I just use it to work from home and slip it on the side whenever I want to start a Game. I know the MSI is not on oled but I love the size and the screen so much more on the LG. Plus the LG can do Ultrawide also which I use here and there for demanding titles and just because of better frames. If you can go 4K and have the hardware to do so then I would go 16:9. I don't miss the ultrawide and the 21:9 ratio at all.
