I have a Philips 34M2C6500. Its great.
Hi! I want a gaming monitor for story games and Star Citizen. I value deep blacks and good colors over frames (I always cap at 60 fps). I'd like an ultrawide monitor (never had one). A curved one looks nice but I don't know if it's worth it the curve. I've been doing research all morning and can't still decide what model is best for me. I've found an open box AW3425DW for 600€ but I'm looking for cheaper options (if there're any). Please I need help lol Thanks! Edit: I ended up getting the Philips Evnia 34M2C6500. Good reviews and not too expensive!
I'm rocking the Philips Evnia 6500, I've nothing bad to say plus you get very good warranty in Europe with excellent burn in protection
So i have the 34M2C8600 which is basically the same screen but has kvm and higher type c pd. It has a bit of text fringing the first few gens of both woled and qd oled all have some problems with it especially at the ppi the 27" and 34" uw monitors have so its not really gonna help you there. Ultrawides are both good and bad if you have native ultrawide content they are fantastic but alot of games just have some issues with uw and need mosing looking at you most recent capcom games. Thankfully there are loads of uw patches its just sometimes a pain. So my take is just keep what you got unless you want to go ultrawide or you prefer a glossy qd oled cause that is the main difference between most woled and qd oled models you more often have glossy qd oleds while woleds are more often matte.
I can recommend the Phillips evnia 34" oled i got one on sale in aus for 450 aud and has been amazing full price prob not worth it but most monitors i don't think are worth it at full price.
We have couple of hundred Philips curved 34 inch with USB-C and 65Watt PD. If you need more then 65 then look at something like the Samsung 34 inch viewfinity which has 90Watt. Make sure to get the builtin Webcam/Speakers, make Teams meetings a lot easier. One big screen saves the helpdesk a lot of hassle with arranging screens with dual monitor questions.
I have Phillips Evnia, the 34" version and I bought it for productivity and gaming. Good OLED monitor, 3 year burn in warranty, the panels are great and the 49" version is 240Hz. I haven't seen any problems with the text and if you just put a screensaver you should be fine. Also the monitor itself has a pixel refresh every 16 hours. My dream monitor is LG 5k2k, but If I had to pick my next one it would definitely be Phillips Evnia 49".
