HW-B550D/ZC 3.1 ch Soundbar with Subwoofer

I just bought a new tv. Switched to 85 and my Samsung soundbar from previous one looks to small for it now. So I connected it today to my pc. It’s 3.1 with 6 speakers and man …. Since it’s around 80cm long, the sound immersion over the pc table is unbelievable good. It’s soundbar which was for around 250 USD in 2017.

The stuff without a sub (under $100) is barely better than the tv speakers. For your uses a regular stereo set up with just a single bar and speakers would make a drastic difference, for example the Samsung b series hw-550f, it has a 300w output which for a room that size will sound loud but not incredibly immersive (you would be hard pressed to find something with more output in this price range). If you really want to wow them, a set up with rear speakers like someone mentioned earlier (the insignia 5.1.2) will provide a fully immersive experience, but the trade off, for that price range, is that it most likely won’t be as loud (think of it as having to put the volume to 50 vs 10 on the system for a volume you are comfortable with)

I went with the Samsung B750d, it was on sale 400$ cad vs 600$ and came with a subwoofer. There was another one i was looking at in the 200$ cad range, I think it's the Samsung B550F, comes also with a woofer and sounded nicely too.

I'm using a Samsung B550 the past 2 years and it's been great so far. It even lets me control the volume with my LG remote which is something my old HTiB didn't do.
