Yes. I use my cordless Dyson daily for small messes and use it as my main vacuum. It’s so convenient. I love it. I also got it on sale at Costco.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->Yes, being cordless and effective for what I need. They have HEPA filters, at least mine does. The no bag is a feature for some of us not a defect. It's all a tradeoff. For some the tradeoff for cordless, no bags, good suction, etal means we vacuum more than we otherwise would. I dont make a mess emptying it vs making a mess swapping bags - cause I overfill it. That's a me thing but it's a consistent me thing and I dont have to worry about it with the Dyson. I never would have thought I'd defend a near $1,000 cordless vacuum but I got one as a gift and will never buy anything different now.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have the rechargeable #2 on the list Dyson stick and I LOVE IT! If you have carpeted stairs, it’s no challenge dealing with those. I live in a 2700 square foot cookie-cutter tract house. First floor is laminate with an office that has carpet. Then there’s the stairs which leads to 5 carpeted bedrooms, two tile bathrooms, a laundry room, and a walk-in carpeted closet. I can get all of that done one charge.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I had the Dyson outsize, it croaked after several months and Dyson didn't have a filter for it, so they upgraded me to the new gen15 outsize. The thing costs about 2x, is more powerful, comes with a second battery and and amazing cloth roller head with a laser light that makes dust and debris glow. Never had a vacuum that worked so well. Return only took about 2 weeks. Very pleased, just hope this one lasts...
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->> Dyson make the best cordless vacuums. Good one! As a Dyson owner I wish I'd got a Shark or Miele. Dysons are average at best.
r/newzealand • Briscoes sale - vacuum cleaner recommendations please!! ->I also hate my Dyson animal. Like you said, it stinks like dog no matter how much you clean and replace the filter and is so hard to maneuver. I also feel like the suction isn’t that strong. I definitely plan on getting something else soon!!
r/germanshepherds • Vacuum recommendations ->Dyson animal! 4 cats, 2 high shedding dogs. It’s amazing!
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Dyson v11 outsize, in shocked how much this stock vacuum can pick up even if I've already gone through with it on ordinary wall outlet type vacuums
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->I bought a Dyson v11 outsize 4 years ago. I love it so much. One thing I really love is how it came with two batteries. Never have I ran out of a charge.
r/CleaningTips • What is the Best Vacuum ->I would never buy a Dyson if it wasn’t for Costco and their lifetime returns. We’re on our third Dyson cordless. They work well when they work, and then eventually they break. Maybe Costco gets cheap ones.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->My Dyson v11 still running strong and the amount of crud it picks up is insane compared to a lot of other brands I have had in the past - Shark, Hoover etc. Miele is overhyped.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Have an older upright Dyson bag less vacuum, over 15 years old and it’s good. Bought a stick vacuum a couple of years ago for quick cleaning like after kids have demolished snacks, for the car etc and it’s been awful. Barely has any power compared to the proper vacuum, charge doesn’t last long, battery died last year and I had to go in to a store to get it replaced (at charge) then got home and after one use it stopped again. Turns out it was the power adapter/cord that was stuffed, and the back and forth to get them to just post me a new cord was stupid.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Bought a V11 too. It’s so fucking good.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->Dyson stick vacuums are definitely powerful enough. Bagless and lightweight, too. Though you would need multiple batteries. A backpack vacuum would make you look like a Ghostbuster. That would be priceless.
r/housekeeping • Backpack Vacuums? Best Vacuums in general? ->This subreddit had me all scared about buying a Dyson Animal vacuum. It’s fine, guys. It’s a perfectly good vacuum. I also have a stick, wanted more power, and guess what? It’s fine!
r/VacuumCleaners • Cordless Stick Vacuums are perfect for most people. ->My Dyson v11 is 3 years old. Broker trigger, then staying on, then the canister latch broke. Plus various cracks in the handle close to the battery. The performance is great, the quality is shit, customer support is just a L on the forehead, a raspberry and a middle finger. I already have a miele c3, I love the dyson's washable filters and performance, but such shitty plastic and generally low quality for that price is unacceptable. I'm also looking for a good stick vac that doesn't tangle with long hairs and has decent washable filters but am trying my best to avoid Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Cordless Vacuum ->Lots of people will shit on Dyson but honestly their stick vacs are great, relatively durable, very convenient and with easily replaceable parts. Very few vacuum cleaners are genuinely BIFL. Avoid Miele like the plague.
->Wife and I have a Dyson V11 cordless and been using it with no problem for almost a decade now. Are we just incredibly lucky? Reading the hate in this sub makes it seem as if we won the lottery with our personal experience lol Albeit we clean ours periodically.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->The Dyson sticks are highly overrated. To obtain adequate suction power, you need to use the high setting but your battery will only run for 10 minutes tops.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->We've a Henry pet that does wonders for pet hair on the carpet areas and would definitely get another but the thing just goes and as others have said they hold up to abuse from kids aswell We got a 2nd hand Dyson cordless on cheap a few yrs back - it's grand for a daily clean up on wooden floors - I wouldn't recommend one though if u have pets as it barely does anything on the carpets and I wouldn't go near them at the prices in the shops though.
r/AskIreland • What vacuum cleaners do people recommend? ->I have had good luck with Dyson and Shark brands. Both in “pet” models, I’m sorry I don’t know more specific models. I personally don’t notice much of a difference in the performance so I stick with Shark since it’s cheaper and in my opinion the hose and attachments are easier to use.
r/samoyeds • Best vacuum for fur? ->If you want Dyson I’d go for V11 instead. A bit cheaper and isn’t as “smart” as V15 so less things to go wrong . But this is a wrong place to ask about Dyson as people here will tell you Dysons shit and been making crap vacuums for more than 30 years soo
r/VacuumCleaners • Recommendations ->There’s a large amount of extremely biased people here sadly. Obviously Dyson isn’t nowhere near the best vacuum in the world, but it also isn’t the worst as it’s made out to be here. If you can get it on sale at a good price I’d deffo go for it. Tried many makes and honestly when it comes to cordless I think Dysons the best. Yet again people here will tell you there the worst cause they’ve read stories from people complaining when most of the time problems are caused by users not machine.. or that they fix loads of them, with majority probably trashed by customers.. Henry quick is supposed to be good but I find it extremely heavy and bulky, definitely not a great handheld vacuum
r/VacuumCleaners • Recommendations ->I work in appliance shop in UK and the only problems I hear with Dysons are batteries that need replacing which is something normal with all cordless. If you use vacuum on Max power, battery will last even less, again same with all cordless not just Dyson. Some say vacuum doesn’t pick up but mainly because of people neglecting maintenance, you ask them if they clean filter and they don’t even know it had a filter. Hardly any returns.. yet I hear stories that people have had their cordless for 5, 6 years even without any part changed. People here will tell you they only last 2 years.. But again cordless Dyson won’t be a great vacuum as your only vacuum cleaner if you have kids and pets .. you’d still need some corded vacuum to go with it
r/VacuumCleaners • Recommendations ->Then like I said, V11 will do a great job.
r/VacuumCleaners • Recommendations ->Dyson Animal , once a day.( we have two GSDs) and Roomba supplements mid day.
r/germanshepherds • Best vacuum ->Dyson animal - had it for 8 years, only thing I had to do was replace the battery last year as it couldn’t hold a charge anymore. The new ones have a new hair technology that prevents clogged hair but I never had any issues.
r/Pets • Best vacuum for pet hair? ->yeah i have a v8 and i have a black mouth curs dog, and 2 cats. i was fine before with hardwood floors, and any other stick vacuum….dude once i got to a carpeted place…TRASH. i had a shark professional….but didnt want the cords…annoying. i vacuum almost every other day. Dyson freaking rocked, had it nearly 4-5 years now. the hair from my dogs so thick it fills the canister up with half the living room done. I used to use the upholstery tool directly on my dog she loved it and lays down and shows me her belly when i vacuum lol. I paid 250 refurb for it originally. Dude im not kidding I was not nice to this vacuum. I beat the shit out of it. I break it down and clean it. My son broke the canister once, but i easily ordered parts and got another. I used it to suck up hundreds of dead stink bugs. but people are right on the battery….well. about a year ago they had the dyson outsize for sale cheap, used to be like 8-900. This one has the biggest bin, bigger engine, bigger wider brushes, and the best part, hot swappable batteries. Man its been glorious. Best part is all my attachments fit. My original dyson came with every single one they made. They make a specific dog one now. The dyson outsize also has automatic suction levels or its medium is good enough with a timer on how long it will last. Big improvement over v8. Like i said who cares I got 2 batteries now . Theres no other wireless vacuum ive seen that can do suction that well.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->same here for the Shark Plug in model. the amount of dog hair / ETC it can get out of the carpet vs the Dyson Cordless cannot be compared. For purely hard wood / laminate (or very little rug or carpet) Dyson cordless stick vac is IMO is plenty. Good enough run time, and not heavy or unwieldy.
r/BuyItForLife • Can someone please recommend a good vacuum cleaner for laminate floorings? ->I mean I’ve had my Dyson stick vac for 10+ years, it’s been doing just fine with near daily use. They are surprisingly easy to repair or replace most parts. Just keep them maintained.
r/BuyItForLife • The BIFL Vacuum Market is Annoying Me: help! ->Literally buy it for life. Sweeping is an everyday job and with the Dyson, we vac the hard floor everyday for a few mins and get on with life. Worth the $2xx after rewards.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->Call me crazy but my Dyson is still super strong after 4 years. Once the “beater bar” stopped working in mine, called Dyson and they told me to bring it to the Dyson repair place down the street. They gave me a whole new vacuum after 10 mins because they didn’t have a matching color brush head and didn’t want to send me home with a purple and yellow vacuum. When my cordless Dyson stopped working they did the same thing. I’m pretty lucky having an actual Dyson store down the street so I’m sure my experience is better than most, but they have taken care of me.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->AMAZON. Buy the DYSON stick/handheld combo v11. It's expensive but you will love it and it will last you forever. Yes - it's twice what you want to pay - but you get what you pay for. AMAZON you can do payment plan so it can be like $26.66 for X months or whatever and the best part is - you can buy replacement parts for under $40ish dollars. I have replaced battery, brush attachment, stick attachment, etc. - they are amazing. I don't mean to be too much of a nerd - but it's designed so well, it's a joy to vacuum 2x daily (concrete floors/live at the beach with a long-haired GSD, I vacuum constantly). I know the cost is a factor and it's a lot - but think of how many Shark/Hoover/Generic you will buy in 6ish years (I have had mine for 5). I already told my Mom and Sisters - 'this will break and I will perseverate on whether or not to spend the $$ - remind me of this convo and tell me to shut-up and just get it.' I literally LOVE my vacuum. Do the payment plan. You will love it - it's a dream/works so well. I am shocked (kinda disgusted at times!) at how much it picks up. (Also - it has no bags/you just pull a lever and it dumps the canister.)
r/germanshepherds • Vacuum Cleaner Recommendations ->My first Dyson was from 2015 and lasted 6/7 years. I have one now too and it works great still. 🤷♂️ people on reddit hate on Dyson but it picks up my Husky’s fur so good, I’m paranoid of trying others. I think my Dyson is the V11. Just gotta remember to plug it back in when you’re done using it. I have tried a few Shark vacuums and they never work as well.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (based on 1,821 users, in the past year) wdyt? ->I have a Dyson stick vacuum and I love it
r/Apartmentliving • What cordless vacuum cleaners have y'all had good luck with? ->I have a V11 it picks up better than my upright and the hard floor roller is very good i don't even use the higher power levels don't need it.... There's a point the hard floor brush with the laser you are only using it for hard floors? It's not designed for carpet
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I wish I'd bought a Shark instead of a Dyson cordless. I have to empty the Dyson after vacuuming a single area rug, and if I use it when it's a tiny bit too full, it regurgitates a bunch of debris. It doesn't have great suction at the best of times, regardless.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Dyson Animal stick vacuum and a Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum that runs every day. I also have an older Shark Navigator upright that still works great and was reasonably priced.
r/Frugal • Cat parents - What vacuum do you use??? ->I love the Dyson animal cordless. It’s been an awesome little one. We got it on sale at Costco so we could take it back easily. I’d pay full price.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Whoever has those Dysons clearly doesn’t have multiple long-haired, double coated pets running around. I had the stick and the ball versions and both barely lasted a year
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->We have a Dyson stick vacuum and I haven't vacuumed since my 3.5yo discovered it at 18months. All I have to do is hold it and suddenly I'm being screamed at until I allow them to vacuum. Needless to say, I'm a big fan.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->The sharks are half the price at least and have nearly equal weight profiles as Dyson. Dyson warranties on cordless are just as garbage as everyone else's. Really need to talk to vacuum specialists that take care of vacuums and do maintenance for years. Not reddit consumers who never clean the filters, brushes, or tracks not to mention reviewing vacuums that have only been around for a few years
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->OMG I literally live and die by my Dysons. I have one mounted on my kitchen wall and another for the second floor. I literally use them like 3x a day bc it’s so easy. I will never use a corded again lol
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I've had my cordless Dyson for 5 years now. I can never go back. You just need to make sure you take it apart and thoroughly clean it every 6-8 months depending on use. The ease of vacuuming with it makes me despise cord vacuums. I can never go back. Imagine trying to water your plants around your entire house with a hose versus a squirt gun that put out like a hose.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I mean, the dyson is good for picking up like visual dirt and debris on the ground if you don’t feel like pulling out the Felix. That’s about it though. The SEBO will be better at almost everything else except convenience.
r/VacuumCleaners • I got a Sebo Felix for FREE! ->I’d go with another Dyson stick
r/VacuumCleaners • cordless vacuum recommendations? ->I had a cordless Dyson vacuum and I loved it. Someday I might buy another one. The reason I had to get rid of my previous one was not because it broke, but because the filters were no longer available for it on the Dyson website. They sell compatible filters on Amazon, but if you read the reviews, people are saying they are fake and don’t work at all, so I didn’t bother. So my suggestion to you is if you buy a Dyson vacuum, buy maybe four or five filters so that you will be able to use it for years to come. I ended up buying a Hoover vacuum and immediately regretted it because it’s very heavy and tires out my wrist and arm as I use it. Impossible to use on the stairs.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->we have a dyson and a shark. i hate my dyson. i LOVE my corded dyson, but the battery life in the stick vacuum is awful after a while. i like the shark a lot!! it does very well and i haven’t noticed a dip in battery life
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->I've always had a great experience with my Dyson. It's one of the Animal vacs, and never fails to tackle my husky hair, and cleaning it out has always been a breeze. Only one part really needs to be replaced, because of an unfortunate tumble down the stairs that broke the latch portion that pops open the bottom of the canister, but I've been opening it manually for a year now. I guess I'm fortunate based on what other reviewers have experienced, but I've certainly got my almost 10 years out of it. I'd love to get a Miele in the future, and really I'm just torture testing this Dyson. It's already survived 7 cross country moves in my truckbed without a tarp, a couple times in the rain. I wouldn't absolutely not do that to a Miele though hahah!
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I’m sorry, the cordless Dyson isn’t that great for carpet/rugs so I wouldn’t rank it that high. The attachments are excellent for their specific uses like couch/mattress, the nozzle for corners but I have the old school Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner and it’s sooo much better for rugs. Vacuum’s with cords for the win!
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have three dogs and have bought numerous vacuums trying to find the right fit. The best one for us has been a Samsung Bespoke Jet that has an all in one station. It is cordless and empties itself into a bag. Keeps all the dust and dander down. It is easy to use and I use it almost every day. I also have a Dyson animal but only pull that out about once a month - if even that. I love my Samsung. Wish it had a light on the head unit - but my Dyson doesn’t have a light either. The samsung was pricy but it is by far my favorite.
r/VacuumCleaners • Purchase Advice: Cordless vacuum for a small apartment with pets ->I have the dyson v11 and it’s been a game changer, especially since it’s not heavy
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->We have a Dyson Animal, works great!
r/torties • Vaccume cleaner suggestions SPECIFICALLY for pet hair? ->I had a Dyson "stick" type vacuum. It didn't last nearly as long as the price tag suggested it should. The out of warranty repair cost was 75% of what a new one would cost so I chucked it. I replaced it with a **Hoover ONE PWR** at half the price of the Dyson. I've had it longer than I had the Dyson and it's still working great. It comes with 2 batteries so one lives on the charger, the other on the vacuum. Means I've always got a full charge. The Dyson battery was internal so you can't swap out a battery if it dies on you. I would avoid anything that's not a brand name. Before the Dyson there was a generic Amazon no-name special vacuum that I used once, packed it back up in the box, and sent it back. Absolute junk. Bad suction. Just bad all around. Some of them may be fine but I don't trust the Amazon reviews on the no-name ones. They have a "Fieety" brand stick vacuum for $159 with nearly 1000 reviews averaging 4.6 stars. Is it good? You'd think so. But I still wouldn't take a chance on it. Ironically, the vacuum I bought and have had nothing but good luck with has a very low rating on Amazon (only 3 reviews though), but it doesn't matter as it's no longer available since it's such an old model.
r/BuyItForLife • Can someone please recommend a good vacuum cleaner for laminate floorings? ->I just took my cordless Dyson to the dump. Maintenance nightmare.
r/VacuumCleaners • Suggest some of the best cordless DYSON vacuums ->Right? That little guy looks like a total character! But honestly, for cleaning up after them, I'd recommend something like the Dyson V11. It's powerful and great for pet hair!
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->We have a Dyson cordless. It's been fine. We had it before we had the dog and it's still going strong 3 years in
r/corgi • Please share your Corgi Resistant Vacuum Recommendations ->I have a V 11 and I think it has a good place in my home for a quick cleanup here and there. I’ll never buy another one though because I had horrible customer experience situation with them and also it’s so gross to me the way that you cannot clean them. If they made them so that you could take it apart and clean it every so often I would buy another one. I feel like they do that on purpose so you basically buy a new one every couple years.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I thought my Dyson was shite till I took it apart and cleaned it properly, turns out there was a couple of blockages that you couldn’t quite see. We also have Henry, he’s an annoying fucker but bloody brilliant. Dyson cordless for the everyday stuff, Henry for the once a week major clean!
r/AskIreland • What is the best hoover you've ever owned? ->I’m on year 2 and thank god it’s operating well because I do use it quite a bit and am happy with its performance. BUT… the dumb little plastic disk/shields on either side of the ball joint have broken off. They seem poorly engineered which is broadly concerning.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->I had a Dyson ball and a Dyson stick for the last 8 years and made the switch to a Miele C3 last year. I will never go bagless again. Whole house feels so much more clean. I did not expect that.
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->I love my Miele. I’ve only had it about 8 years, but my parents has lasted over 25 years at this point. I also have two Dyson sticks and they work great
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I work in shops, and Dyson cordless vacuums are revered. Need to vacuum up sawdust and aluminum chips and plastic shavings and metal filings? The Dyson will do it. Sharks and similar seem to break in a month or two. The power tool branded vacs are tougher but don’t work as well. The only downside is the batteries, but you can buy a DeWalt or Milwaukee adapter and never worry about it again.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I can't recommend one, but I can say that my Dyson stick vac, besides not sucking well, makes an insanely loud screaming sound, whereas the Miele C3 I just bought to use instead, is much quieter, particularly on the lower settings (where it still creates more suction than the Dyson). Oh and it filters the exhaust air better. Something to consider with a baby..
r/VacuumCleaners • Are there any cordless sticks worth it? ->Dyson Animal Big Ball , plug-in. The pet hair attachment is great plus the main foot too. All the other attachments are ++ but for pet stuff they’re the stars Def not cordless. If I use my bf’s stick Dyson on the rug then use my Dyson there’s a noticeable difference!!! The stick is for quickies 😜
r/dogs • Best vacuum for pet hair? ->My friend with 2 goldens and wood floors gets very frustrated with their Dyson stick, I know a few yrs ago they'd sent it back a couple of times. They also have a miele corded thing, looked v basic but was quite powerful. They'd had it prob 15 yrs when I borrowed it. As for other brands of cordless things, my dad has a vac and I think I did a better job with the broom!
r/dogs • Best vacuum for pet hair? ->I have a v11 and two cats, had this dyson for the past 4 years and had the cats for 3 last year it started having issues, was intermittently stopping hubby deep leaned it, worked great for 2 days and went back to it's usual issue. I think the dyson simply cannot hold up against the animal fur. I would have to vacuum the carpet areas multiple times and still was not satisfied with how it was after. I'm annoyed cause I spent so much money on a vaccum that didbt even least me 5 years. We are going to try the miele c3 from Costco. Idk it is getting furrier here by the day, send help!
r/VacuumCleaners • Why is Dyson bad and what should I get instead? ->Dyson V11 cordless - long haired GSD tested
r/Dogowners • Vacuum Cleaner Recs for Dog Household ->They’re all good. I think the Dyson V8 is the cheapest one. But by cheap I mean it’s still like $450. I have an old V8 and a newer V11 which is kind of in the middle for their cordless ones. Stronger suction, but even the V8 is fantastic. And I’ve had it for years and years. They’re crazy expensive but worth it. I’ve never had a Dyson break, ever. I have one of their upright ball vacuums and it’s been going strong for over a decade. As long as you open it up and clean it periodically they’ll last forever.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best cordless for pet hair? ->V11 and later versions of their cordless perform ok for thick carpets. You have to open the front gates to relieve pressure. If you have a lot of carpet, you have to learn to stop cleaning your entire home in one go. If you really want a Dyson, I would personally only get the Ball Animal 3 for your thick carpets. It also works really well for hard floors. You should watch Vacuum War's review on it to see if it fits your needs. DO NOT get any other version of Dyson uprights, they are horrible and only work on very specific types of carpets. Otherwise, a Sebo upright is my next recommendation if you don't mind bagged.
r/dyson • What is the best vacuum for carpeted floors? ->I love my Dyson stick vacuum but it ain’t cheap.
r/Cleaningandtidying • What is a good and cheap vacuum cleaner? ->This is interesting. I have either a Dyson v10 or v11, I can’t remember at the moment, and I hate it. I was hoping something other than a Dyson would be at the top. I don’t follow vacuums, so I wonder, is the v15 at the top just too new for people to hate it? It seems like the dysons all go in numerical order, so I wonder if people like them new, but are less satisfied as time goes on? Maybe that’s the case with every vacuum. It’s a cool list that I’ve saved so I can dive into it a bit more later- to replace my previous mentioned Dyson.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I’ll check it out. I really like the form factor of the Dyson- easy to use on stairs or in the car if I need to, but it literally just doesn’t pick up my dogs hair. That’s all I want- a vacuum that can get the corgi hair and can also be used on the couches and stairs, because more corgi hair.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I doesn’t suck up my dogs hair. At all. I bought the animal version and I can just run over dog fur over and over and it doesn’t pick it up. Even with a brand new battery, there just isn’t enough time to finish vacuuming. I pretty much have to keep it on boost and I barely have enough time to vacuum out our couches, let alone a rug. It also clogs constantly. The actual design is terrible for pet fur. The canister where the dust and debris goes has a tunnel of sorts it spins into and then it comes out of a small square hole no bigger than an inch wide. I have to dig my finger in there to pry out corgi fur several times when I use it. Which again, is no longer than 15 minutes. It makes this irritating on and off suction noise when it clogs and I hear it so often that I’m pretty sure it haunting my dreams. Also, this hasn’t been a thing for me, but it seems like a huge issue design wise- my best friend mounted her Dyson charger, as one would assume was the best way to do it- it came with a mounting kit. They hang it up after every use and let it sit there on the charger. Their battery got so bad they’d get less than 3 minutes of vacuuming towards the end of the first year. When they called Dyson, they told them that it was because it was constantly charging and that wears the battery out faster. So if you mount the charger, you apparently aren’t supposed to hang the Dyson on it unless it needs a charge. Why they couldn’t put some tech in their charger to alleviate this, I don’t know. I think this is why some people complain about the batteries dying quick and some don’t- my battery lasts close to as long as it always did several years on because I don’t hang it up to charge and only charge it when it dies. TLDR: pausing every 2 minutes to clear a clog while vacuuming and then having to sit and wait for a half hour for the thing to charge and finish your vacuuming is for the birds.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->My friend had the same experience. They mounted the charger on the wall and the battery died fast. They called Dyson and they told them not to let it charge all the time and that’s why it went bad. My Dyson is probably 6 or 7 years old and I only charge it when it dies and the battery life is almost the same. It just doesn’t work very well for my needs.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->My Miele corded vacuum has lasted for over almost 15 years. Some of the attachments look worn down, but they still work very well. I also have a Roomba and a Dyson cordless vacuum, but I don’t feel like it’s a fair comparison, since battery packs degrade over time. I’ve had to replace the battery pack for the Dyson, and my Roomba seems like it runs out of juice noticeably faster than before.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I did not have reddit before buying a dyson but signed up just to warn others. It's a beautiful machine.... that works for a year and then breaks (at least the cordless one) But what makes it worse is for a "premium product" the customer service is up there in the worst I have received. My vacuum broke a month ago (it's only a year old and still under 'warrenty'). \- I have been 30 days without a vacuum (it will probably be 45-60 by the time it's sorted) \- I have spent over 6-8 hours with customer service PS. I reached out on every other channel to give them an opportunity to rectify/ sort this out and they wouldn't do anything about it. Which is why I am here warning everyone else haha I would only every by one again at Costco where you can return it right away. I bought directly from dyson and there is no honor or care for customers when working directly with them .
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->We have Dyson, Miele and Henry. Dyson cordless is the best for daily convenience but not so good for a deep clean and it's quite high maintenance with all the charging, emptying, filter washing, getting hair off the brushes etc. Miele is solid and the suction is bonkers but I wouldn't use it for building work etc as I want to keep it nice. Henry is the work horse for cleaning the log burner, mud, brick, sick. You can chuck anything at him but he falls over a lot.
r/AskUK • What is the best hoover brand that you have had/experienced? ->Our Dyson animal is awesome, it’s easy to maintain and has crazy strong suction
r/VacuumCleaners • 14 cats and 2 dogs needs great vacuum/carpet cleaner ->I have a Dyson and a Miele. The Miele blows the Dyson out of the water. It’s not even a competition. The Dyson is cordless and convenient, but when I really want the floor super clean, I need to use the Miele.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I had a Dyson pet also and hated it! And their cordless vacs are horrible and last like 5 minutes! I prefer Shark vacuums as well.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I really have liked my dysons. I bought first one in 2008 (I had just got a second husky) and I just got rid of it last year. For the past 8 years, I used to like a shop vac of sorts in my basement (lots of fur). I’ve had one since then, still running well, it’s probably 10 years old. It’s in my new house in the basement for the carpet, and I have Dyson stick for main floor (hard floors).
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Dyson stick. I've tried so many other brands. Dyson seems the best.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Animal Dyson every fortnight and a roborock every single day. Serves us well. I wouldn’t buy a Dyson again though. Bissell next time - half the price, twice the innovation. Though they are American…
r/samoyeds • Ok fellow Samoyed owners, what vacuum do you use? ->Exactly this! We hoover multiple times a day with a wild toddler. I'm very happy with the cordless Dyson
r/AskIreland • What vacuum cleaners do people recommend? ->I use the Dyson stick vacuum for pet hair daily and the Dyson animal ball weekly and I brush my dog and the cat who sheds every day and it’s honestly pretty manageable
r/CleaningTips • Im so tired of pet hair ->Dyson Dyson Dyson If somebody made me choose between a free Miele and my Dyson stick I would still choose my Dyson Stick. I cannot stand plugging in vacuums ever again. I can't stand heavy vacuums. I can't stand now vacuums. I can't stand the way the bag vacuum smell because the bag is always slightly permeable it's gross. Dyson. Hands down.
r/homemaking • Vacuum Cleaner Recommendations? ->Id go with a Henry they are used all over because they are bloody good. I've got a Dyson v11 and it's perfect for my many cats one of which is extremely fluffy, they are usually fairly cheap from Amazon nas eBay refurbished.
r/UKFrugal • Decent, inexpensive vacuum cleaner needed. ->I love my Dyson V11 Animal. It has withstood the past 5 years of weekly use against golden retriever, various foster dogs, and cat hair.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Spent $600 on cordless Dyson that a piece of crap. Don’t love the corded shark either. Corded Dyson is probably the way to go
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->This sub should be changed to r/neveradyson I have a v11 and it works fine on my laminate floors. I’d buy another one. Battery life is a little less than it was when new but completely fine for the job I need it to do. If I had a lot of carpet I’d consider a plugin. As it stands not having to lug granny’s cannister up and down three flights of narrow stairs is a win for me.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why is Dyson bad and what should I get instead? ->I just had my Dyson V11 for a year, and it won't power on anymore. Customer support is awful. Still trying to get a replacement since it's a 2 year warranty but they want to try everything else but send a replacement. I can't recommend Dyson again to anyone for that reason.
r/VacuumCleaners • I am feeling so overwhelmed trying to find a vacuum, help please. ->First a not on self empty systems. They are sort of a gimmick. Firstly, they usually can do a basic empty of the container but they are not effective at cleaning the internal filters of the stick vac, that still has to be done really regularly yourself. And many self empty systems are themselves bagless, which means you have an additional 2 or 3 filters to clean. Bringing the total maintainence burden up to 2 dust containers, 2 mesh screens, and up to 5 or 6 filters you have to clean every couple weeks yourself! In other words, they're often more trouble than they are worth. Secondly, no cordless vac is going to match the suction and durability of a corded vac. With that in mind, and if you're good with it lasting about 5ish years, here's what I'd look at. Models from LG, including their own self empty model which at least uses bags, so there's nothing to clean on the station. Dyson have a pretty poor reputation for reliability now, but if you can tolerate very poor customer support, models like the v11 are still decent. V8 is a good more budget end choice. Miele duoflex or triflex models are great choices too, better quality than the others I think with good performance, but pricy and with fairly small bin capacity. Avoid no-name or bizzarely named models on Amazon, avoid bissell, hoover, dirt devil, shark, tineco, etc.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Stick vacuums ->I have a Dyson cordless. It is amazing. Two Border Collies in the house 🤯
r/CleaningTips • Best vacuum for all floors, pet hair, and heavy duty use that is NOT bulky. ->I replaced my Dyson animal stick with this Shark version, and haven’t had any complaints. It’s a solid 7/10 and good bang for the buck Was a Dyson die-hard since they came out, but had to replace the same battery 3 times in 24 months on my last model and felt the price / value ratio has fallen off.
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->When we bought a multi level house and had pets and small children around we wanted to "upgrade" as well. Any with a Dyson stick as they seemed to be good. We loved the portability over the old hover and thought it was great. After a few years it started to show the truth. Crumbs would fall back down the tube. Multiple passes over items would still leave them on the ground. We when went as far a getting the old Hoover back out and realized just how much the Dyson missed. That lead me down the rabbit hole of what is actually good. Ended up with Miele, it's remarkable how well it performs.
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for the best Dyson cordless vacuum -help me sort the lineup? ->FWIW, I have the cordless Dyson V11 and one of those el cheapo cordless on Amazon for $100 something and it works just fine as the Dyson. I bought a couple spare batteries for both and that’s good enough for me.
r/VacuumCleaners • Suggest some of the best cordless DYSON vacuums ->Har ikke hatt samme kvalitetsproblemer med min Dyson etter 3 år.
->Oof, classic Ryobi bait-and-switch. It is great for tools, terrible for vacs. If you’re looking for real performance under $500, start with LG CordZero, Tineco A11/A15 Hero, or a used Dyson V10/V11. If battery cross-compatibility isn’t a must, just get a vac that actually vacuums.
r/VacuumCleaners • RYOBI Stick Vacs Are downright awful, need advice on replacement ->I feel like I must be the only person who loves their cordless dyson. I have a toddler and a baby and I have to hoover like three times a day.. if I had a big chunky corded thing, I definitely just wouldn't bother.
r/AskIreland • What vacuum cleaners do people recommend? ->Żona kupiła Dysona V11 w promocji . Byłem mega sceptyczny wobec tego dziwactwa ale muszę przyznać że działa to bardzo dobrze. I przydaje się też do odkurzenia samochodu 🙂
r/Polska • Opinie o odkurzaczach bezprzewodowych ->I have a Dyson upright pet because everyone else in my family does and we all love it. No one's had a single problem, and it sucks the everliving hell out of pet hair-filled carpets. Think the first one of us to get it has had it 10 years, some almost as long. Mine's a refurb I got 5 years ago and it's not going anywhere anytime soon.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->Kjøpte Dyson for 4 år siden.
->Accurate copy of a Dyson cordless then, in my experience!
r/AskIreland • Best vacuum cleaner under €200? ->Love my Dyson! I’ve owned 3 (1 upright Aninal from 2004, still ran when I donated it last year and only ever needed one belt changed) and 2 cordless sticks. No problems with any of them. The first Dyson I bought replaced a lemon Hoover that cost me as much as the Dyson. I’d never go back.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->The dyson we are just replacing is going on 9 years. We did swap out the battery for a bigger one. It still runs great, except it has damage from falling into the ground due to our child trying to vacuum and leaving it in strange place. But considering how many times it has been dropped its going okay.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->Ours took a tumble down the stairs a few times too. So it has taken a beating and it is the primary vacuum we use so it hasn't been too bad.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->We have the shark vacuum others have mentioned, a Roomba, and a cordless Dyson 😅 I still feel like I'm struggling to keep up with dog hair. We just got a new Dyson, but the shark vacuum is 6 years old and still working fine. I do have to replace or clean the filters pretty often though. Edited to add the shark one we have is the navigator.
r/corgi • Please share your Corgi Resistant Vacuum Recommendations ->I used to have a Dyson and just switched to a corded Miele. I loved my Dyson but the power ability on the Miele is waaay exceeding my expectations. I don’t struggle too much with the cord, it’s pretty long and has a nice retractable function. The cordless Dyson is so convenient but I like how much cleaner I feel my house is with the Miele
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I have the C3 Marin with two cats and it's amazing. The Dyson I had to empty multiple times while using because of how badly the cat hair clumped in it. I also recommend replacing the HEPA filter with the charcoal one.
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for a heavy duty vacuum for pet hair removal on carpet and hardwood floors ->I feel like there aren’t any bifl stick vacs because bags wouldn’t really be practical, and the better manufacturers know that bagless vacs generally don’t clean as well. FWIW, I have a sebo canister vac for intermittent deep cleans — the thing is crazy powerful, and *will* probably last forever — and a Dyson stick that I use for daily pet hair duty. The Dyson is kind of a joke next to the sebo, but the ease of getting it around the house makes it my go-to for quick cleanups. (The batteries do need to be replaced once in awhile.)
r/BuyItForLife • The BIFL Vacuum Market is Annoying Me: help! ->I feel like cordless sticks are more designed for small flats. Like if I had a house I‘d never buy a Dyson stick. But I have a 30 square meter flat and there is immovable furniture in that space. I probably need to clean 10-20 square meter. The Dyson is amazing for that. I don’t need a battery that lasts more than 15 minutes.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Well a lot of people own Dysons that are nearly 20 years old and still working fine. That’s good enough for me. Who knows what kind of technology we will have in 2040?
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->90% of the population aren’t real cleaners though and that’s fine. I have a 30 square meter flat. And I work full time, no pets etc. I just need something lightweight and that doesn’t need much space. Dyson is perfect for that. Just because professionals don’t use something, doesn’t mean it isn’t perfect for the average person.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I really like their vacuums. So much that I have two of them, the v10 and v11. Their customer service is excellent
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Not cheap but a Dyson cordless is great
r/Cleaningandtidying • What is a good and cheap vacuum cleaner? ->My main is a V11 Outsize with the extra battery and I love that thing. It’s like 5-6 years old now and I can get 2 hours or so with both batteries. If it dies I’ll go Miele because I’ve seen too many issues with the newer Dysons. I’ve had no regrets on buying this one though. I’d definitely consider a used one if I knew the batteries were good.
r/dyson • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->You will not regret keeping the Dyson as your quick cleaner. The SEBO is a much better vacuum for deep cleaning and the hardwoods. If the flooring rush, didn’t come with the Cibo, go to a vacuum store and pick up the parquet floor tool.
r/VacuumCleaners • I got a Sebo Felix for FREE! ->dyson v10 def beats the samsung for carpets despite the dyson now having a dual use head i too didn't like having to mess with the filter every time i emptied the samsung bin i'd have gone for the samsung on clearance if it were better. it was on clearance for like two months. the dyson outsize is the only clearance dyson i've ever seen and it lasted less than a day
r/CostcoCanada • Any reviews on Shark vacuums? ->I've previously had a Shark Upright and now have a Dyson Stick. I think both are fine. Honestly the biggest thing that made me go with Dyson over Shark for my current vacuum is being able to maintain my vacuum. When looking online and in store it was hard to tell how I would clean the regular floor head myself with the Shark, while the Dyson is incredibly simple. Even the filter on the Dyson is washable, I don't have to replace any disposable parts all the time. If I can't maintain and clean my own cleaning tools they're doomed to be replaced sooner.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->> The anti-Dyson sentiment in places like a vacuum sub always feels like sock puppets shooting them down to promote their own brand or people just being opposed to what is popular. This and "enthusiests" in any given segment will be willing to give up convenience and performance. They always miss the entire point of a dyson, which is completely convenience. I don't want to lug around a bagged vacuum, I don't want to have to plug it in, dyson retains the build & performance but makes it cordless and quiet.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->My partner and I moved in together. Due to this we have the following: - Dyson V11 - Bosch cordless vacuum - Bosch canister with bag - Central home vacuum The Dyson doesn't work any better than the 180 euro Bosch cordless. The only advantage is the brush, other than that its had way more problems and is more flimsy. We'd not buy a Dyson again under any circumstances.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Your gona regret it sadly. Too much electronics to go wrong with the “LCD screen”
r/dyson • Best Dyson wireless vacuum on a budget with pets? ->Sorry I got confused with my dodgy V11 I might even buy a v10 myself !
r/dyson • Best Dyson wireless vacuum on a budget with pets? ->Get a used V8 Animal on eBay with the motor head wand and tools Replacement Battery is easily available online if knackered Reason: My v11 has broken down twice in 1 year. Newer does not always mean better My v8 is still going after 8yrs
r/dyson • Best Dyson wireless vacuum on a budget with pets? ->Again, anecdotal but I’ll never buy Dyson again for the simple reason of customer support. Bought an outsize and it worked great…for a month. Dyson support was literally “ask Amazon Alexa”. My shark may not be as strong, but an online quick chat is better support than Dyson and at a quarter of the price.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->100%. Pretty much veryone hates Dyson on these forums. I’d hate to lug my large Miele around with me everywhere I go to clean. I worked as a service tech on Miele and probably won’t ever buy one now. They are both designed for different situations. But the Dyson in my house gets used the most.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Yeah I worked as a vacuum tech for years and sold Miele, Sebo and Dysons, But Mieles were in for repair probably the most. All the service techs including me hated them. Way over priced and a royal pain to work on/get parts. The Dyson cordless that that I’ve owned for six years now has worked flawlessly and still gets 40 minutes on charge easily. And also for all the Dysons I’ve recommended to people through the years have all worked amazing. Dyson blows the competition away when it comes to innovation, and the overall product experience, especially the cordless game. Will never go back from Dyson. I do really like Sebo! Just expensive and hate bags/low portability.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Miele is the best but for ease a dyson cordless is good - maybe the pet hair one. I have both- dyson for small jobs and Miele for big jobs. After i upgraded the dyson battery it works better than ever after 6 + years.
r/CleaningTips • Best Vacuum For Pet Hair ->Same here. We have the animal Dyson for about 10 years and just very recently replaced it with the new version. Haven’t had issues with it and we also have 2 cats and 2 dogs.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->They are dotted around the house: One Shark, one Dyson cordless (on its way out), one Dyson corded. I think there's a second Dyson somewhere, but I use that to suck up spiders and gravel. And a Eufy robovacmop thing. Edit: and a Vax carpet cleaner.
r/AskUK • Hoovers. What are you using and why? ->I have 3 Dysons, 1 corded upright & 2 cordless stick vacs. All operating fine with no issues as of yet. My 1st cordless from around 2006 is stir used weekly. Only I have had to replace the battery & brush accessory. But overall Ive been pleased.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->I think the Dyson cordless is best for hard floors and area rugs. Wall to wall carpet is too dense and requires a corded vacuum. We have no carpet just area rugs and bare wood floors and it handles our dog hair great.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->We bought a Dyson V11 and I have mixed feelings about. It’s great for a quick vacuum around the dining table or kitchen, but it struggles to pick up a lot of stuff - birch leaves that come in from the garden, small stones in the porch from our shoes, hay from the guinea pigs, hair from cutting the kids’ hair. It’s been quite disappointing frankly. We have a 20 year old Henry that we use to clean up after the Dyson. My advice to OP would be to get a Henry for each floor of their house!
r/AskUK • What cordless vacuum cleaners are actually worth buying, but don’t break the bank? ->I highly recommend getting a refurbished one for much cheaper or even a used one for cheap. The new prices are kind of outrageous. There's a website called slick deals where they have the v11 on sale with a 2-year warranty as refurbished by Dyson for $250. This is a good deal! Just make sure not to drop the thing and to always leave it laying on the ground when not in use as they are very plasticky and can break. And don't use it on its high setting unless really necessary as it deteriorates the motor and battery life. And remember to clean the filters roughly once a month I don't recommend the V10. I recommend either the V8 for how lightweight it is or the v11 for its easy empty function. I would not recommend the V12 because it's connections and accessories aren't interchangeable with other Dyson V-series vacuums. Same with any other "slim" variants. Also note that the V6 had completely different attachments than all the other models. I' own three Dyson stick vacuums and recommended them to family and friends and they all love them as well. In my opinion, the V8 was an excellent combination of good suction, lightweight and cheap. Also starting with the v11, some variants of the v11 have click-in batteries that you can easily exchange with another one. But most of the v11 series has permanently affixed batteries that you have to remove with a screwdriver. Also want to add the vast majority of this subreddit is against Dyson vacuums and they're pro corded bagged vacuums. No need to pay more for the laser soft fluffy head when you can get a laser attachment on Amazon for like $20. Or AliExpress for like $5 I believe the best one is named "Bahuun dust cleaner display led" I definitely would not recommend paying a lot more for the v15 or Gen5. The benefits do not outweigh the increase in cost in my opinion.
r/VacuumCleaners • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->Yes. Cordless Dyson is the way.
r/germanshepherds • Hardwood floor people’s… are you also vacuuming twice a day? 👀 ->I didn't think so, but I've only used their stick vacuum. It had issues, and when I was in the market for a new vacuum 5-6 years ago I had a couple of friends and also a couple of local vacuum shops recommending I avoid Dyson. I decided to go with a Mielle canister instead. I have two huskies and it does a great job with all surfaces. The canister is very light and not clunky at all to pull around (which was my biggest worry). I'd recommend checking this brand out if you're unsure about Dyson.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->We have a Miele, a Dyson stick vac, and a shark robo vac. We use them for different purposes, but all have their place in our house. Miele came first though almost 10 years ago and it’s never had any issues.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I loved my animal Dyson. It did catch fire though prolly from the “hidden filters” never being changed. I bought a shark after that and it was great for carpet, it actually pulled your arm forwards and “sucked” to the carpet. Moved to a place with all hardwood floor/laminate kitchen, bathroom and the shark just pushed the dirt forwards. Now we sweep….no vacuums here lol
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->My Dyson pet was the biggest damn waste of money.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->My advice is to go to maybe a Dyson Demo Store and try it out for yourself before you buy, people say they don’t last but the reality is they do if you take care of them, like washing the filter every month, empty after every use, don’t use it on max mode constantly, etc and it’ll last a long time without issues (unless you install the filter back wet or wash any parts you’re not suppose to, and bash it about everywhere) Personally I find Dyson okay People here will tell you the Sebo and Miele are like legendary best options but in my opinion tube are overrated. I own a Dyson V11 and 2 Sebo’s, (Sebo x1 and Sebo X7) (I use to have a Miele but I hated it) Don’t get me wrong, the Sebo is an EXCELLENT vacuum and picks up really well, however let me tell you it STINKS after a few weeks and you’d just change the bag but bags aren’t cheap for them and you can’t reuse the old ones so you’d wanna wait until they’re full before disposing, and yes I did try vac freshens, both from Sebo and from Amazon and non of them lasted very long before the bad smell came back My Dyson v11 is pretty good, picks up a decent amount and doesn’t really smell since I wash the filter every month in a bit of warm water with a cap full of [Zoflora](https://www.ocado.com/products/zoflora-midnight-blooms-concentrated-disinfectant-595014011) of which does come in quite a few different scents But if I were you, I’d try before you buy
r/VacuumCleaners • Is the Dyson worth it? ->Can't vouch for this one but i have an older model and it's okay but we eventually bought a Dyson v11 and never looked back. It's much quieter, easier to empty, doesnt get dog hair tangled up in it.
r/ryobi • honest reviews of the Ryobi Vacuums? looking at buying their best one, the Advanced WHISPER Series? ->I love my Dyson stick vac for spot cleaning and smaller jobs - couldn’t recommend it enough.
r/VacuumCleaners • Are there any cordless sticks worth it? ->My V11 is a piece of shit. Anything larger than a speck of dust and it chokes and I have to take the whole goddamn thing apart to clear the jam.
r/VacuumCleaners • My original Dyson lasted me 19 years. Are Dysons any good still? Or should I switch to a Sebo? Have carpet upstairs and on the stairs. Roomba takes care of the tIle downstairs. ->I have a cat and she sheds a lot! 😹 I used to have a Dyson but I hate to hold pressing the power button all the time. I love my LG.
r/Apartmentliving • What cordless vacuum cleaners have y'all had good luck with? ->All of the A9x series are essentially the same basic vacuum with different options. The A937 would be my choice. I don’t want a wet mop and the self emptying tower is great. I have heard the new dual brush / soft roller floor head is problematic. I’d google it and decide for yourself. I can speak to Dyson as I have one. Parts are not available for Dyson. They’re overpriced throw away machines. Status symbols. Mine is a V11 outsize which needs a new brush roller. Neither Dyson nor aftermarket offer replacements. It’s hot garbage. If you decide on a Dyson get the regular size because there are a lot of aftermarket parts for those. Just know that Dyson themselves will not support you. You can look at their website and they will show the parts but they’re perpetually out of stock.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Overall Cordless Vacuum for Pet Hair? ->I certainly understand the argument. I own a FELIX and it does have some weight to it but I find that it glides effortlessly over my hardwood and tile floors. I also own a Dyson V11 Outsize and I find that it feels equally heavy and I hate having to hold the trigger to make the machine run. For the OP, I wouldn’t discount at least giving the FELIX a try. It’s a far better vacuum than any battery powered stick vacuum.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why is it become so difficult to find a decent vacuum ? 😤 ->I commonly see the claim that cordless vacuum cleaners cannot clean carpet adequately. To be clear, aside from the claim being entirely too general, there is no study or test that has proven that they do not clean carpet or hard floors effectively. In fact, we have reason to believe the opposite through observable performance. I think it is about time we stop peddling false or misleading claims on here. It takes away from valid criticisms of modern cordless vacuum cleaners. With that said, there are cordless stick models that are up to the task in performance and some that are not. I would avoid cheap, no-name ones off Amazon, for example. Most of them have the power of a DustBuster and are of shameful quality. There are some brands that are worth a look, though. If you can find them for something in or near your price range, Dyson makes the V8, V10, V11, and V12 that would work for your situation and be relatively close to your price range. Costco sometimes has great deals on them. The older models like the V8 and V10 fall quite a bit below the newer ones and some other brands in suction and airflow, but should be fine with hard floors and area rugs. LG cordless vacuum cleaners are also solid next to the competition, with models such as the CordZero and CordZero Kompressor that are on [LG's website](https://www.lg.com/us/vacuum-cleaners). Samsung also has an intelligent design department and sells powerful models such as the Jet 75, Jet 85, and Jet 90. I am partial to the LG models since I have more experience with them and they seem to hold up to abuse fairly well, but Samsung sells a fine unit too.
r/VacuumCleaners • Are there any cordless sticks worth it? ->While there are valid criticisms of Dyson, there is an anti-Dyson agenda that is easy for any onlooker to see among quite a few frequent commenters on this subreddit, so I would not expect to get a response that does not have a bias. For example, "reviewsvacuum" commented that the V15 is internally the same machine as the V10, which is completely false. Some folks tell themselves fibs like that enough to where I think they believe their own untruths. If we make up things about Dyson while trying to sway people not to buy them, does it help or hurt the intended cause? Anyway, if you have no corded or cordless preference, my first choice would be the [Ball Animal 3](https://www.costco.com/dyson-ball-animal-3%2B-upright-vacuum%09.product.4000179573.html). It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it is powerful and versatile for an upright and you never have to worry about replacing batteries as they degrade or the charge running out. The bin is also much bigger than a typical cordless vacuum cleaner. For cordless, it depends on your flooring type. If you have lots of carpet, I would suggest getting one that is more powerful, with the V11 and V15 being notable examples. I would only grab the V15 if you want the extra features such as the dirt sensor and laser. If not, the V11, although the V15 is more powerful, is similar in cleaning ability, so it may be considered the better deal. If you have mostly hard floors, the V8 would even be fine, although it lacks the user-friendly battery swapping that the others mentioned have, which is a big deal as batteries degrade or if you want to stock up on batteries for more run time.
r/VacuumCleaners • What’s the best Dyson to get? ->This is me too. I’ve had my Dyson animal since 2008 and it’s working great. It was expensive when I bought it. I have no idea if they’re built well now. But got my moneys worth out of this one.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Why don't you want a stick vacuum? I was dubious about them until I bought a Dyson V11 in about 2020. I'm still using it today, it's still exactly as powerful as day one and with a good enough battery to do my whole house on a single charge, hardwood living areas with rugs and carpeted bedrooms. I'd never go back to a corded/drag around vacuum. The only issue I've had in 5+ years is a snapped trigger, which was a known design issue and has been fixed with an improved part I replaced myself. I have a short haired dog, but I'd trust it to deal with long haired pets as well.
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Some fair criticisms. I'll counter but I respect there is subjectivity involved in this. I don't agree at all with points 1 and 2, my V11 absolutely outperforms any prior corded vacuum I've ever used and is not at all heavy or fatiguing - I find it much easier than lugging around a heavy wheeled unit. I won't say it's the best performing vac in the world, I'm sure some of the really expensive fancy brands perform awesomely. But it deeply cleans all of my rugs without an issue, without needing to touch the boost function. Point 3 and 4 are I suppose fair but is easily worth the trade off for dealing with bags for me. Point 4 doesn't bother me, I just empty with the nose into the bin which is in a drawer but even if I had to walk outside to empty it I'd still easily choose that over dealing with bags. Point 5, you're absolutely right the trigger was a design fault on mine, but in 5+ years so far of bashing it around it is the only part I had an issue with and the replacement is reinforced in the weak spot (and only cost about $20) so is unlikely to ever reoccur. I paid $800 for mine and I expect to get many more years of service out of it, so I don't view the build as a problem. My model doesn't flex under its own weight. It is an extremely capable vacuum that is a joy to use.
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Fair enough. I got a free charge stand with mine, and it's easier to store than a drag around vac but I get it. The battery is literally never a concern for me, it can do the whole house on one charge and it's easy enough to use that you can do the house in sections without it being a hassle too.
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->I don’t get the Dyson hate tbh. I have two and they’re both fantastic, best vacuums I’ve ever had. Going strong for years, and no issues at all.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why is Dyson bad and what should I get instead? ->We have a Dyson cordless and I love it.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Thank you I will look into that. I had a bad experience with Dyson - to me it was a piece of junk; only lasted a year. I really liked my two Orecks. In my dreams I want a really powerful robot vacuum but I don’t know if such a thing exists. They seem to be made for hard floors.🙄
r/dayton • Are Vacuum Cleaner Rentals Really a Thing? ->I have had my Oreck serviced 4 or 5 times Day Cin Vacuums. They are great. But at some point I have purchased a new vacuum in service fees.😊 I like upright vacuums but as I get older it’s harder to use it on my two flights of stairs 😹. Bought a Dyson stick vac a couple years ago - big mistake. They are not meant for people with carpets or pets and I have both.
r/dayton • Are Vacuum Cleaner Rentals Really a Thing? ->Miele C3 for life gang! I previously had a Dyson Animal for almost a decade and the improvement was shocking to me. Of course, there had likely been enhancements to the DAs in the meantime.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have a few Dyson cordless (V8, V10, and V11). I don't think they are worth anywhere near retail price, and I've only ever bought mine on Marketplace for well below (still NIB). The trigger on my V11 broke, but I managed to install an aftermarket replacement that I got from Amazon. Aside from that, they've worked well for me. However, I am only ever sweeping dust and dog fur from hardwood and tile. It's probably the easiest job for a vacuum. These are lightweight machines for lightweight use. Basically just very expensive "dust busters." I've never owned one of the corded models.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I have used Dyson stick vacuums for almost a decade and I don’t regret it at all. I have never had any issues with them and the aftercare from Dyson Australia has always been fantastic. I think it’s absolutely crucial to maintain your Dyson to keep it running smoothly.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Well, just making sure I clean the filters regularly, like once a month or so. And cleaning out the bin part every so often and also the turbo brush. And not over filling the bin. That’s just been my experience, but I acknowledge others have ran into issues with their Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I love my Dyson stick vacuum. I stand by Dyson as my brand of choice for vacuums
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best stick vacuums?! ->The batteries on the Dyson stick vacuums, well, they suck, and not in a good way. They last about as long as a short fuse on a firecracker.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->The problem is not that the battery runs out during normal use, it's that EVERY SINGLE TIME you use max suction mode, it shortens the life of the battery. The user manual might say to only use max suction mode in short bursts, but it still doesn't change the fact that max suction mode is so bad for the battery that it shouldn't even be an option.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->Our cat loves to get worked over with the Dyson cordless, but he’s kinda special.
r/Frugal • Cat parents - What vacuum do you use??? ->We got a Dyson V11 last year and have no regrets. My husband has issues with one of his arms and this has allowed him to be able to do chores, etc way easier. Corded vacuums were becoming an issue for him and the weight of a lot of vacuums was another issue. We don't have a huge space but it's beating the corded shark vacuum we had before with how much it picks up. It was definitely worth it for us.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I just got a shark from Costco that has cleaned better than any vacuum I’ve ever used. we have a Dyson v11 for quick clean ups. I got two vacuums for the cost of one and it’s working well for us. Not sure I understand the hate either
r/VacuumCleaners • Ive been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom. ->This sub has never appeared in my feed before but I thought I’d chime in ! My Dyson v11 stopped working the other day and because the local service centre doesn’t allow people to drop off the vac and pick it up when it’s done (!?) and neither my husband nor I had the hours to spare taking time off work to wait to get it fixed, I ordered a generic stick vacuum from Temu as a temporary stand in. It arrived in 4 days and is better in every way than the Dyson, while costing 1/10 the price (maybe less?). I was astonished. I was never particularly enamoured of our v11 or the handyvac (I don’t remember what model but it has frequently given us trouble). But I wasn’t expecting the cheap little Temu vac to be so damn good. It just makes Dyson seem like even more of a rip-off, TBH.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I really wanted to love the Dyson cordless vacuums, but I couldn’t get over having to press the button down the entire time vacuuming. Plus, the stick vacuums are a bit top heavy as well so it just felt super awkward to maneuver. It could just be because my hands are super hypermobile and so it’s ridiculously uncomfortable. I’m researching other cordless/stick brands.
r/VacuumCleaners • Suggest some of the best cordless DYSON vacuums ->I can say the Miele C1,2, and 3 bags or like $45 for the XL ones and it’s 8 bags or for you, a year supply. though you might only go through 5-6 cause they do compact the dust pretty well. And it comes with 2 pre motor filters and 2 post motor filters. So you get to change it’s primary filter every time you change bags, the pre motor filter which is what keeps the motor clean and running for a long time every 4 bags and the post motor filter which is the the last stand filter for anything that might have made it through every 4 bags. Also air flowing through a MERV 13 filter several times is the equivalent to a hepa filter cause they filter the same .3 micron particles and hepa filters 99% and MERV 13 filters 75-85%. So this would be close if not better than “hospital grade filtration.” And if you must they sell a hepa grade post motor filter as well for most models. So bagged would be great for your needs, and for an extra $45 you get a machine that will last at least twice if not up to four times as long as any baggless vacuum. I also own a Dyson stick for the past 2 years and my dad owns a Dyson animal ball for the past 15 years and they work pretty darn well. Shark might not last as long but the don’t leak dust either and is cheaper from what I’ve seen so its also is a viable option. Best of luck!!
r/VacuumCleaners • Do you recommend the bagless Miele vacuum cleaners if I have dust mite allergy? ->I had the cordless stick Dyson. It was average as far as performance and died within 2 years. I replaced with a Shark that has been doing great for 5 years now and still going strong.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I love mine, a Dyson. It lives in our pantry and I use it multiple times a day. It’s definitely not meant for heavy duty vacuuming, I still like a regular old plug in one. But it’s SO nice for a quick clean up with two toddlers and a dog.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->Shark. I got the Shark at Costco. I also have a Dyson Animal but it is too strong on carpet so it would void warranty on the carpet.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I'm not sure if I agree that there isn't suction (there is indeed a decent amount of suction) and as a V10 and V11 user that while I actually dislike Dyson A LOT that their vacuums have their place. Permitted you got them on a deep discount then they're alright for light clean up jobs. I never agreed with their marketing to say they can replace a full sized vacuum or have more suction. They're cheaply built, have rather pricey consumable and worst of all they have the gross bin that puffs out a nasty dust cloud every time you empty them. I'm very much a SEBO user (have 3 + central vac) but the Dyson and even roombas are used for the quick pick ups and maintenance vacs.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->The laser head is so fun to use. We have 2 cordless Dysons and they get regular use with our 2 dogs and 7 cats. No complaints whatsoever. Had the V11 for a while now and the laser one is more recent. I think some people don’t realize the vacuums themselves need cleaning once in a while - like rinsing off the filter and taking the rollers off to clean them.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->The laser head is so fun to use. We have 2 cordless Dysons and they get regular use with our 2 dogs and 7 cats. r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Ik heb een Dyson V11 al jaren voor het elke dag snel stofzuigen en vooral de trap gaat hier lekker mee zonder snoer etc. Voor de wekelijkse goede stofzuig ronde een ouderwets Miele. Vind de Dyson echt heerlijk in gebruik maar het haalt bij lang niet goed alle stof en andere dingen van de vloer of banken (katten haren) in mijn mening.
r/nederlands • Over welke stofzuiger ben jij tevreden? ->The Dyson V11 has done our family great the past few years!
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->Dyson Animal stick vacuum. Husband took over the vacuuming in retirement, and he loves it more than my Dyson upright with all the tools. Has replaced the rechargeable battery, said it was just pop in, easy. Note: animal and people hair can twist around the beater bar, so watch that and keep it clean. Take the whole thing out of the head. Get the hair hidden in the gaskets. [ I only say thus because I assist at a senior center thrift shop, and someone was donating it. I pointed out that the filter and head needed cleaning and it would work. Thank the goddesses that he challenged me. I told him I would fix it for $25 donation to the center. He went for it. I had it running in 5 minutes. Don't throw away vacuums until you have cleaned it! ]
r/Apartmentliving • What cordless vacuum cleaners have y'all had good luck with? ->Best performing is objectively the Dyson Gen 5 Detect. There are.plebty of reports of poor customer service outside of the UK and quality issues for some. My V11 has done 5 years and is going great still. Avoid the Miele Tri flex thing, overpriced and doesn't perform on the same level. The latest from Samsung looks interesting but very expensive too
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Cordless Vacuum ->Best performing is the Dyson but I guess performance is less of a concern if this is intended for quick pickups on hard floor only? I'd look at others with multi-cyclone technology Vs sharks single or dual cyclone. You will spend more time than you want cleaning a shark filter... Dyson on the other hand you will need to rinse out every 4-6 weeks or so. A Dyson V11 is probably plenty for your needs, especially if your country sells them with a soft roller head
r/VacuumCleaners • Dyson V15 vs Shark PowerDetect vs Shark Stratos – or other? Which is most reliable? ->I’ve got a Dyson cordless and a Miele corded. The Dyson is great for everyday cleaning up after the kids as it’s a pain to drag the other one out all the time. But I wouldn’t want to rely on the Dyson as the Miele is so much more powerful. I think all cordless ones will be limited unless you don’t have any carpets or rugs.
r/AskUK • What cordless vacuum cleaners are actually worth buying, but don’t break the bank? ->I’ve got a fifteen year old Miele vacuum that could suck up a black hole and a cordless Dyson stick thing that has been absolutely fine. The Dyson one is great for everyday cleaning after the kids and the Miele is dragged around every couple of weeks for a deep clean. I also have a Henry that I got after buying the house as I wanted something to deal with the DIY mess. It does the job and is pretty robust but the Miele is much better but also cost a lot more.
r/AskUK • Hoovers. What are you using and why? ->I just returned the Dyson V11 despite the fact that it had the strongest suction power of any cordless vacuum we've tried, and it's because of the trigger, which also makes it difficult to maneuver. The fact that they haven't created a vacuum with an on and off button is pretty ridiculous. Not worth $400+.
r/VacuumCleaners • Thoughts on the Dyson V10 Animal+ for $400? ->I just got the v11 plus for $399 on sale. It definitely has better suction power than the v10. So I wouldn't pay that price for the 10 whatsoever. Either way, I'm returning mine. Even though the suction power is fantastic, it's hard to maneuver (likely because it suctions so well) and hate that it doesn't have an on and off button like other cordless vacuums. Instead, you have to press the button the entire time as you're vacuuming. That, combined with it being top heavy, makes it a no-go for me. Search Vacuum Wars videos on YT for recommendations.
r/VacuumCleaners • Thoughts on the Dyson V10 Animal+ for $400? ->Dyson animal is what I use at home. The battery life is short but it works wonders
r/Newfoundlander • Vacuum Recommendations? ->A Mighty Mite, a Henry Pet, or a Dyson stick, depending on the jobs. I’ll occasionally use a client vacuum but generally they’re not maintained well.
r/VacuumCleaners • Looking for a new vacuum, price no object ->Very happy with our Dyson, and also wouldn’t want to lug around a 4ah battery on a stick vacuum.
r/egopowerplus • I'd love to see an Ego Vacuum cleaner ->4 cats Dyson stick vacuum!
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I’m genuinely not sure what this sub hates Dysons so much. I’ve had an upright for 15 years now and have never had an issue. And I’ve had a Dyson stick vacuum for 5 years and no issues.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I’ve had a Dyson upright for going on 15 years now and have never had an issue. I’ve also had one of their stick vacuums for about 5 years and again, no issues. 🤷🏻♂️
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I bought a v11. Hot trash. Never again.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->The battery in mine died in 1.5 years. The plastic parts on the dustbin are basically made with the cheapest plastic materials possible.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->I bought a Dyson cordless vacuum in 2018, so far no issues but then again it’s only been going on 7 years. But I’ve been spoiled by cordless vacuuming, especially since my house was built in the 20s and has few options for outlets.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have a Dyson V11 and vacuum up cat litter with it every day no issues!
r/BabyBumpsandBeyondAu • Best stick vacuums?!
r/zuinig • Goedkope koordloze (electrische) stofzuiger tips ->I bought a Dyson cordless a few years back and the first week I had it i new it was a mistake it will only stay charged long enough for me to do one room I call Dyson and they said that was the way it was the battery only last about 15 minutes a waste of money I bought a sharp I can leave it off the charger for one day and go back the next day and it is still charged amazing how much a Dyson cost and not worth a dine and a sharp half the price and ten times better I would never recommend a duson
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->We've been very happy with ours. Pro-tip: Great deals on the Dyson Refurb store on eBay. [https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?\_nkw=dyson+refurbished+vacuums&\_sacat=0&\_from=R40&\_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=dyson+refurbished+vacuums&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311)
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I bought a V11 in 2020.. it’s been a life changer.. no more dragging heavy barrel out for the kitchen living room. I only had to replace the motor because a cleaner used it to clean the WHOLE HOUSE( carpet) many times . It’s not made for full house clean imo. Since new motor it’s an absolute warrior! Love it. Take off the stick and use hand held to vacuum window sills and kitchen draws and tight corners.
r/VacuumCleaners • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->My V11 is going strong .
r/VacuumCleaners • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->So you do realise you’ve changed your story ! lol 😜 Perhaps if you’re getting repairs it shows a high sales volume because they are so popular. It makes sense too that you would hear about repairs if you’re in the repairs business! Mine has never lost suction , all parts are still in excellent condition. The machine has even fallen into hard tile floor and never cracked the plastic .. I find it as tough as .. it’s a brilliant product.
r/VacuumCleaners • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->I love my Rainbow vacuum and my purple pet dyson.
r/GuiltyDogs • Any vacuum cleaner recommendations? 👹 ->The purple Dyson for pets. We love it and have used it for 4 years now. We have had 3 Rottweilers, 2 Shimas, and 1 Golden, as well as 2 medium hair cats.
r/Dogowners • Vacuum Cleaner Recs for Dog Household ->We have a Dyson Animal and a Shark Canister style vacuum. We prefer the Shark. Suction is just as good as the Dyson and it’s infinitely more user friendly as far as the attachments and hose cleaning goes. Plus smaller head fits more places like under the bed. The Shark is just a better design.
r/homeowners • Best house vacuum ->I hate my Dyson animal upright. I’m going back to shark when this squeaky, hard to clean, heavy pos dies.
r/VacuumCleaners • My original Dyson lasted me 19 years. Are Dysons any good still? Or should I switch to a Sebo? Have carpet upstairs and on the stairs. Roomba takes care of the tIle downstairs. ->I’ve had three Dyson Animal Stick vacuums that I liked enough to replace (refurbs each time) but I’d never depend on them as my only vacuum. Good for quick pickups. Bought a refurb Shark Rocket (with the plug) for a small cabin and I actually prefer it to the Dyson—especially LED lights on the head.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I also have Dyson vacuums (upright plug-in and cordless) and both have served me well, but I have had to replace the battery on my cordless (under warranty) as well as replace the trigger button (time-consuming but only $20).
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I also have pets and got a Miele C1 Cat and Dog. The suction is fantastic, but due to the fur tumbleweeds and tracked in dirt, I vacuum every other day or so. For that I find myself reaching for my backup Dyson stick - the canister is just too much of a pain for a quickie rug pass. Miele is the weekly “CLEAN ALL THE THINGS” tool. So if you are a chronic vaccunmer, I’d suggest either getting a Miele (or comparable) stick vac, or if you go canister, get a cheap backup for quickie fur jobs.
r/VacuumCleaners • Anti-tangle canisters vs cordless ->Really like the dyson cordless! Didnt buy the fanciest. Bought a shark corded and absolutely hate it after using the other.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I have both Dyson corded and cordless vacs. They both excel at shedding plastic parts all over the house. Junk.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->That may be true on the whole, but I had a wheel break off of my V11 and they sent me a new cleaner head no issues. Apparently it was a common problem because I saw a lot of others post about it. Seems like they re-engineered the point of failure on the head as well.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->if I could jump in, my dyson just died after two years. Need a cordless vac for a three bedroom townhouse. Any recs? for tiles and wooden floors. In australia. No special needs bar some messy kids
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I have three Collies & use a Dyson pet vacuum. I do go through a lot of vacuums too - but Dyson seems to be the best.
r/roughcollies • Vacuum suggestions? (the fur never ends) ->Cordless Miele is worse compared to cordless Dyson. I have both.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->I got an older cordless dyson for free and thought i hit the jackpot. charged it and it only ran for 30 seconds. no problem just bought a new battery for $30. ran pretty well until the brush stopped turning 2 months later. cleaned it, completely disassembled it and nothing. my parents had a kenmore bag canister they didn’t want. i kid you not my carpet changed color. i had no idea how much gunk was missed by my dyson. and the canister came with a bunch of different brushes and accessories and different floor settings. i will never use a cordless stick vac again no matter how much people rave about the dyson. they die pretty quickly and aren’t as durable and multipurpose.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why Are Bagged Vacuums Making a Comeback? ->Im in US and LOVE my cordless Dyson vac. Its super easy to get hay clogs out of. Do they sell Dyson there?
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->Right. The life of a Dyson Stick is a hard one. It’s not a bagged corded cannister, it’s a lightweight battery powered hard surface sweeper. Miele’s cordless stick isn’t great either.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I was mainly using a Dyson V11 then decided to delve into the cannister world. I couldn't justify buying a Miele or Sebo before I tried using a cannister and found a Kenmore 600 on Facebook for around $100. I figured I could use it and see if a cannister works for me. I've been so happy with it I've lost any desire to use anything else, and so far it's good enough that I've lost my urge to step up to a higher end machine. Build quality does appear to be a bit lacking, and I don't expect this to last forever, but it's a pretty good vacuum, especially if you're on a budget and can get one from the secondary market.
r/VacuumCleaners • Loving this Kenmore 🤯 ->Samsung Jet 75e. Bought it to replace my Dyson v11 whose motor kaput a second time. The dustbin in the Samsung Jet 85e is fully washable which is a big plus. Suction power is very good and is much quieter. Only downside for me is it doesn't have a docking station.
r/askSingapore • What vacuum cleaners are you using? ->I spent the money on a Dyson 🫣🔥
r/blueheelers • Vacuum Recommendations!! ->I think I have the V11 which was around the $300 price range & was the best for animal hair at the time. I would do a little research on each model to see what works best, but honestly I’m sure whatever the latest model is will be the best one. I love all the attachments it comes with & GOD the amount of hair it picks up<3 i had two cheaper vacuums break down on me within a year because of how often I would need to use it. I spent the money & have no regrets because now I only need to vacuum once a day (I have 2 heelers & 3 cats) & spend half the time I would with a typical vacuum. Also, they have an attachment you can use on dogs with thick coats. I personally don’t have one, but I’m sure it works well for grooming purposes.
r/blueheelers • Vacuum Recommendations!! ->Dyson isn't what they used to be. I use one of their sticks at work. It was great initially but I've been watching it literally fall apart over the last few years (first the dust canister kept coming apart, then one of the wheels fell off, then the button that holds the stick in fell off). It gets a little abused, but it's not exactly tossed around. The suction is good. Everything else leaves something to be desired. Your money is probably better spent elsewhere.
r/VacuumCleaners • Is the Dyson worth it? ->Dyson is average compared to miele
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Running out of battery while you're vacuuming it so frustrating
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->4 years for a vacuum is terrible value for money ae. Expectations are so low these days for product longevity. Dyson are supposed to be the most premium vacuum, and it lasts about a year before it starts going down hill. After that you have to buy cheap Chinese battery adapter's to even use them. The filters are impossible to wash, and suction is below average.
r/australia • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Well I have v11 for about 4-5years now and it has been good! Only small issue with the slightly wet filter I cleaned (entirely my fault).
r/dyson • Which Dyson cordless vacuum is actually worth it? ->I would look into a Dyson, I have a V11. I don’t have plush carpet so I unfortunately can’t attest to how well it would work on that type of floor surface. But they are powerful vacuums and their anti-tangle brush head has been an absolute game changer! The ragdoll fluff used to constantly wrap around the brush on my old Shark vacuum, I was cutting fur out of it after almost every vacuum session. The Dyson brush head stays virtually clean.
r/ragdolls • Best vacuum for ragdolls & carpet ->There’s no single vac that does it all except for maybe a super heavy super expensive traditional canister like a Miele. For an everyday hard floor vac (and light carpet vac) the best is Levoit on Amazon that's about $200. It's a Dyson-like machine that overcomes a lot of the longtime design issues with Dysons (such as, it can stand up by itself -- what a concept). But we also keep the Dyson around for a more aggressive carpet vac when we need it. We also have a Eureka boss -- powerful and dependable small canister vac. And a monster shop vac in the basement. Dysons are great but they're really expensive and their air filtering system is overly complicated and tends to lose efficiency. If you own a Dyson, watch all the available Youtubes on how to clean it with pressurized air so you can keep it running. Given the competition from newer manufacturers like Levoit, I think it's going to be harder for Dyson to justify selling floor vacs for close to $1000.
r/homeowners • Best (cost/performance) vacuum cleaner? ->Dyson stick. We have 3- one for each floor. They’re amazing. We had a shark and it wasn’t nearly as good so we gave it away and got another Dyson. We have a roomba which is great for daily use but not for deep cleans. We also have a plug in something that we never touch bc it’s such a pain.
r/homeowners • Best house vacuum ->^This. We had a Dyson Animal and were continually having to take it apart and cut fur from the roller. Haven’t had to do nearly as much with the Miele.
r/samoyeds • Ok fellow Samoyed owners, what vacuum do you use? ->dyson stick vacuum, its the best
r/askSingapore • What vacuum cleaners are you using? ->My experience with Dyson stick. Worked ok first time. Next time wouldn’t work on high, cleaned it out, washed filter, let it dry 24 hours. Next day, won’t work oh high, barely works on medium, low is worthless. Cleaned again, washed filter, let it dry 24 hours. Next time high won’t work, medium pulses and barely sucks. So basically I vacuum carpet, litter gets pushed around room, when I turn off vacuum everything it has collected falls onto floor and I vacuum it up with a hand held ryobi. In researching Dyson problems, best advice on how to fix a Dyson was to throw it out and get something else. Good luck.
r/VacuumCleaners • Dyson v8 plus worth it ? ->We got a Dyson stick for quick and spot cleaning. We got a corgi that sheds like crazy. It helps with maintaince of the fur. A Miele canister is BIFL and will hold up with per hair.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Yeah I’ve a Powerblade for my kitchen/ hard floors downstairs. It’s cordless and light but useless on my carpets. I’ve the Dyson pet one for those and I find it not too clunky even on the stairs, especially as it has so many little attachments. I like it. As for mops, I like my Shark one. No fannying around with detergent, just throw some bleach or whatever you use on the floor and go. It separates into a handheld steamer too.
r/AskIreland • What vacuum cleaners do people recommend? ->Did the same. After 2 dyson stick vacuums, I realized they are crap. My miele canister vacuum is a beast.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Yeah battery is not the best, however it worked really well when it was new (like most things do). Our main vacuum is the Dyson animal+, that thing is a beast and has been working great for the past 7 years. Handheld gets used to clean cars or just pick up quick messes.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->They can be replaced w off brand batteries from Amazon for bout $30-60 a pop and stronger/longer lasting. Two screws and the battery pops out and you pop the new one in. No wires or anything.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->I did buy the wrong one at first but then just returned it to Amazon without an issue. My tip is to Take a photo of the back/underside of the current battery, it has all the info you need! Then when you get a hair to sit down and Amazon; just look up the photo. The newer and bigger battery made using my Dyson stick a pleasure again.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->Yeah I had a piece crack on my cordless Dyson when I dropped it, and they sent me a replacement no problem. While I was on the phone with them, I mentioned the battery was draining pretty fast and it wasn’t sucking as well as it used to, and they sent a new battery and filter as well. Also, it was outside the warranty period, so I was pretty happy with the customer service.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Had my Dyson animal for 9 years and it's awesome. No issues but I do look after it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Dyson en dan denk je Ja die dingen zijn megadur op Marktplaats op zoek gaan die het niet meer doen waar het bijna zeker is dat de accu kapot is accu omwisselen voor een nieuwe en je hebt hem goedkoop
r/zuinig • Goedkope koordloze (electrische) stofzuiger tips ->I agree. We went through two cordless Dyson vacuums in 4 years and that’s not cheap considering they were $600+ each
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Keep the Dyson for quick everyday pickups and the Felix for deeper cleaning ir whatever the dyson didnt pickup because the battery died. It really is usefull to have a corded vacuum when the cordless dies and you need to finish that one lityle area.
r/VacuumCleaners • I got a Sebo Felix for FREE! ->Sebo. It’s the new Electrolux. I went from electrolux (40 years of service, inherited from my mom) which was amazing, to a Miele (20 years of service, inherited from step mom) to a Dyson Animal. The Dyson lasted 12 years before I got sick of it. I bought a Sebo! I’m 58 and I won’t need another vacuum before I die.
r/homeowners • Best (cost/performance) vacuum cleaner? ->The stick Dyson is crap, not the ball.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->I agree. We have a Dyson and it gets used every day for little spills here and there. Occasionally it’ll take it out to the car for a quick vacuum because… kids. The battery life is abysmal though. I’ve heard great things about the Shark cordless.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I love all the ryobi products i've purchased except for this. Bought to replace a dyson stick and it was far worse and we returned it. Clunky, loud and poor suction. Ended up fixing the dyson stick vacuum
r/VacuumCleaners • Wondering if anyone here has experience or knows of the Ryobi ONE+ Stick Vacuums and could help with advice on if I should get one or not, Ryobi tools have held up for quite a while and one of my favorite brands here in Australia. (I hate the pull along canister vacuums) ->We never tried the shark. Ultimately, we bought some aftermarket parts for our dyson and it works good as new. I love the dyson stick vacuum for quick pickups. We also have a Miele for the whole house
r/VacuumCleaners • Wondering if anyone here has experience or knows of the Ryobi ONE+ Stick Vacuums and could help with advice on if I should get one or not, Ryobi tools have held up for quite a while and one of my favorite brands here in Australia. (I hate the pull along canister vacuums) ->I've replaced like every part except the motor in my Dyson stick vacuum over the last 10+ years and it works great. Being able to get cheap replacement parts is a huge benefit
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->If you don’t care about budget then a Dyson stick vacuum, if you’re on a budget I like my shark stick vacuum
r/CleaningTips • Best vacuum for all floors, pet hair, and heavy duty use that is NOT bulky. ->hahah not sure how acurate that analogy is, but I love it. as I love my dyson, never in my life am I going back to corded vacuums
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Everyone in my house has long hair and I bought a Dyson a few months ago. It hasn't tangled up a single time yet, not a single hair stuck on the brush. But they are pricey!
r/CleaningTips • Vacuum for long hair ->Yes, but you need to remember to always return it to the charger, otherwise it will be dead all the time & frustrating when you want to use it. The nice thing about Dysons, too, is a new battery is extremely affordable, so if the battery dies, you can replace it for under $40. I’ve had my Dyson cordless for 6 years, & I had to replace the battery once. I use mine daily. It’s been one of my favorite household “investments”.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I do unplug mine when it’s charged, but I have found that I cannot vacuum my entire house unless it’s on a full charge so it needs to always be “fully” charged. I unplug it when I “close down” the kitchen before bed.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->Like many others I have the Dyson Animal and it’s great.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Why not just get a V11 or V12 then use them as your car vacuum? They have stronger suction power.
r/dyson • Looking for feedback/ reviews on Dyson Car + Boat handheld vacuum ->I liked my stick dyson. Made a terrible mistake of throwing it out bc it fell over and I cracked the battery. Turns out you can put any battery on them that's compatible. So, don't be like me lol. ▪︎ Mount it to the wall ▪︎ batteries are an easy fix
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I have a Dyson v11 and it’s been through 3 collies
r/roughcollies • Vacuum suggestions? (the fur never ends) ->I literally just finished vacuuming with our Miele. We have 3 kids, 2 cats and a dog and this thing is the goat. I also have one of those cordless Dysons, which are good for spot cleaning here and there, but if I run the Miele immediately after the Dyson, it still picks up dirt! They go on sale sometimes, too. I bought ours from a small local vacuum place in BC called Big Gary’s Vacuums. They were matching the sale price at Costco.
r/AskACanadian • Canadians, I need a vacuum recommendation. 😋 ->I cannot tell you how much I hate my Dyson v11 and how happy its death last night has made me. Looks great. And that’s it. Pathetic run duration, so heavy my hand aches after cleaning half the house. Half? You ask. Yeah because then it has to go on charge before I can clean the other half. A suck so pathetic it will not drag dirt out of the skirtings or pick up anything larger than a fly without clogging the minuscule inlet port. It is impossible to lean anywhere cause it’s so top heavy, the only way to get a decent vac is on its most powerful mode and it then literally lasts 3-5 minutes. It clogs so damn often. I can’t believe what a gutless piece of crap the vac is. So yeah, I’m done with these cordless wonders going back TODAY to a corded vac that will actually, like, um vacuum. Biggest scam of a generation the cordless vac. Angry and disappointed and totally lost trust in the DYSON brand. Hope they go bust. Apologies for those that read this again. I am posting as many places as I can to save other people being scammed.

r/VacuumCleaners • Moving out soon, looking for a good vacuum cleaner! ->From the reviews and the treatment I have received from Dyson, I will not be buying another Dyson product again. I have owned the Dyson V11 for 6 months and it started having filter issues, wouldn't turn off, and then a burning smell. I contacted them and they sent me a new main body & cyclone and it also would not turn off after I turned it on. They then said I could drive to a service center to have it looked at or they could send me a return label by email and I would have to find or buy a box to return it to them in. They said after they received my vacuum it would then take 15 days for them to send me a new one. Their process does not put the customer first or make them feel whole in the matter.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Invest in a Dyson. I wasted so much money over the years on cheaper vacuums. I've had mine for 5 years and it's as good as new. It's cordless and I can do my whole apartment on a charge.
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->I had a Dyson Animal and hated it. One, the ball makes it difficult to get under furniture. Next, the extension hose is not user friendly and hard to use in tight places. Then, I got tired of emptying the canister every time. Finally, the filters pick up the dander smell and need regular cleaning and replacing. We currently use an Orexk xl. Love it. It use an easy to change bag. I replace it about 1x per month and toss, so no lingering dander smell. Also bought the smaller should vac to use to get under furniture, nooks a cranies. Carry it on the should makes it easy to use.
r/germanshepherds • Vacuum recommendations ->I’ve had my Dyson animal for years & it’s a workhorse. Absolutely swear by it
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I think you have had some trauma from older vacuums regarding batteries. Modern vacuums will last double that without losing too much power. It is no different than laptops. Those batteries used to die or be useless in 3-4 years but these days 5-6 is easily achieved, same for phones, and vacuums aren't discharged and recharged nearly as often. To illustrate, my 4 year old Philips vacuum has lost 0 of its charging capabilities. And while I agree that Dyson has good suction, they are reliability nightmares. I had two. I replaced the first after 3 years because it just stopped performing and no amount of cleaning did anything to change that. The second developed the same issues in about 2 years. I managed to convince support to send me a new motor but by then I was so pissed off with the brand (expensive and unreliable are a hateful combo) that I will never buy Dyson again (much of their stuff looks fancy but are outright scams). My Philips 8000 is as mentioned 4 years old and it has lost some of its suction power but will run about 40 minutes on a charge, same as when I bought it. Not super enthusiastic about the suction performance going down in 4 years but it has been better in pretty much every way compared to the Dyson (which refused to hoover up any of the cat litter on the floor eventhough it had much better suction, and it was FAR quieter too). Never again Dyson. Look up Dyson and Scam on Youtube and watch a few vids before you buy anything.
r/CleaningTips • Whats the Best Cordless Stick Vacuum to Buy with Powerful Suction? ->I have used the shark stick and the Dyson stick. I like the shark better.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I have a sebo d4 canister the motor blew and I got it back within a week from warranty during that time I was using my Dyson cordless it's rubbish
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->Yes barely picks anything up.
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->I know you excluded Dyson, but I must add that my two Dysons over twelve years have been incredible. Minor maintenance and rock solid. Understood they are pricey but potentially might be able to find a deal with the upcoming deal days.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Stick Vacuum under $300? ->I have a v6 and a v11 which is showing around $300 at Best Buy currently. I really like vacuum wars testing. They’re way more comprehensive than any one consumer could ever test. Check out their website and YouTube channel. Shark and Dyson make up almost exclusively their top ten cordless vacuums. Looks like the shark power detect is on sale currently, closest to your desired price point.
r/VacuumCleaners • Best Stick Vacuum under $300? ->I use a Dyson stick vacuum, I do have to empty the canister multiple times for each area but it works great on both hard floors and carpet
r/greatpyrenees • Please help me with a quality (dog hair) vacuum recommendation ->Never thought I'd feel so strongly about a vacuum, but I love my dyson. It's the cordless stick version. After 5 years, the battery started to get weak. We just replaced that with an off brand battery and it works like new.
r/vegan • Looking for a vacuum cleaner ->My cordless Dyson lasted 3 years. Recently got a new corded vacuum not worth having to replace every 3 years vacuum cleaners should last 20
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->We had a choice between a V11 for £299 and a more basic dyson cordless model for £199, didn't remember the name of the model. We went with the V11 mostly for a longer battery life; it also felt more solidly put together than the £199 when we checked it out in the shop. Experience so far has been great; I'm absolutely sold on how portable and easy to hoosh around it is. Makes doing stairs and large areas a piece of piss. Loads of power in it even on an eco setting. Takes a few hours to charge, but it's designed to be left docked so it'll always get passively charged. Our previous hoover was an absolutely ancient Dyson that we got second-hand off some pals who'd used it for building dust, so it was on the decline even when we first got it. It weighed a ton, and it was so cumbersome that we'd end up vacuuming less and putting it off. This yoke is so handy I catch myself picking it up just to give things a go over every day or two.
r/AskIreland • Best cordless vacuum cleaner? ->Go to Walmart and buy the Hart $100 stick vacuum. I have had 2 dysons and while they're nice the batteries are trash. I have tried factory and cheap replacements, and not much difference. Bought a cheap Walmart one for the garage and it worked great. Battery lasts forever. It works so well that the Dyson has gone to garage and the hart stays in the house. I've had it for 3 years now, still original battery working just fine. I'd get a year tops out of a Dyson battery. Dyson wins the looks award, but Hart beats it in performance.
r/VacuumCleaners • Used Dyson v8 Absolute ->I have a Dyson cordless Animal and it’s perfect for me. I also have a really nice almost new Kirby ($800+ price tag) I picked up for $10 at a garage sale because the people didn’t understand you could replace the belts for a couple dollars. I use the Dyson all the time because it’s so much easier and less mental commitment for my ADHD brain to pick up and use a cordless vacuum whenever I need it. I can vacuum for three seconds and put it back before I get distracted. Easily worth the money because now I actually vacuum as opposed to getting stressed out about the whole process of plugging in, lifting, storing the giant Kirby and not vacuuming at all in the end.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have cats. I've had a Dyson animal and a basic low end Dyson. They're both amazing, but the basic one works just as well as the animal on my carpet and hard floors. But to each their own... I recommend seeing if you know anyone with a Dyson and asking if you can go vacuum at their place. Use all the tools and make your own decision.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->I have a Dyson V11. Have had it for almost 3 years and it’s a workhorse so far.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I bought one of their stick vacuums and the battery died in less than a year. Couldn't just send me a new battery, sent me an entire unit and all the accessories. That one died even faster but they wouldn't replace it as it was "outside the original warranty period". They offered me a discount and I said never again. Found this sub and bought a Miele. Best vacuum ever.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Personal opinion, I ask my clients to provide a solid, efficient working vacuum. All of my clients have one except for one and I bring my company vacuum. They are charged a nominal maintenance fee because it’s time consuming to clean a vacuum and care for it. It’s not good to have a community vacuum and definitely dicey if they aren’t the cleanest people. I’ve got one client who has a severe allergy to pet dander and others who have multiple dogs. Nobody has a shared anything and my clients appreciate that. Personal opinion aside, because I use many vacuums I’ve been fortunate enough to figure out which ones are great and which ones are terrible. A lot of it is just personal preference however, Shark is still the leader for me. They have some pretty great vacuums, equally great attachments and are really easy to maintain and care for. I don’t care for the cordless models but the Shark Rocket corded model is one that I use for clients if they need a vacuum. My own personal vacuum is a Shark Navigator. I just keep going back to it because it’s so good. Dyson is decent but heavy. The Dyson Animal works well but it’s super bulky and difficult to carry up stairs. They make a cordless model that has a great battery life on one - that version is 4 or 5 years old and is FAR better than their newest model that has the green light bar on the head of the vac. Max 45 minutes run time so you’ve got to be real careful about when and how long you use it without having to charge it again. A lot of the cordless models also have the charging stations so you’ll have to buy multiple batteries if you travel with it. If you’re going to invest in a vacuum though, Miele is a terrific brand. Not talked about enough but it’s by far the Porsche of vacuums. It is the lightest vacuum I have ever used. The suction is adjustable, it’s ridiculously quiet and they last forever! It’s a canister vac and can be difficult to get used to BUT…I’ve never used a better vacuum. There are a few cleaners in here who use the Sebo backpack vacuums and I know they ride real hard for them! I’m sure one of them will show up soon 😂 Other frontrunners are Bissell. The Clearview is lightweight, easy to use and has great attachments. Comes in a bagged version as well. Hoover has come back into the game recently and they have a pretty stellar vacuum that is comparable to the Shark Navigator. I avoid water vacuums at all costs. Just not practical. I’m sure this is far too much to now think about but now you know 😎
r/housekeeping • Backpack Vacuums? Best Vacuums in general? ->The LG CordZero and Samsung Jet are regarded as great alternatives to the Dyson V15. Many offer 2 batteries and a charging stand for less than the price of a V15. I believe there are a lot of features on the V15 that are showy but do not improve the performance like the particle sensor and laser. You could get a Dyson V11 for the similar cleaning performance as the V15 but without the more expensive screen. The Submarine mop attachment on the V15 is not comparable to regular vacuum/mops, the Submarine does not vacuum and mop at the same time and it doesn't suck up any liquid, it just rolls it up. What kind of flooring do you have? If you have mostly carpets I would recommend cordless versions of upright vacuums like the Hoover Onepwr Hepa+/Oreck Cordless and the Simplicity Freedom/Riccar Supralite Cordless. These are battery powered versions of upright vacuums that have much better carpet cleaning than regular cordless stick vacuums like the Dyson, LG, and Samsung. Also don't buy any Sharks, they're terrible, they break, and they're unrepairable.
r/VacuumCleaners • Is there a affordable alternative to the Dyson V15 vacuum? ->Well if you want a quiet vacuum, (the quietest to be specific) your option is the Miele C3. The Miele c1 is marginally louder but still quieter than a Sebo. Both are quieter than any Dyson lmao (those things are crazy loud and they don't even tune their motors to offload the whine behind our scope of hearing). The Miele c3 on max is quieter than a Dyson on normal. So the cheapest option would be the Miele c1 classic pure suction. The nicest option would be the c3 gala edition. Both are hard floor only machines, but the build quality of the c3 really speaks for itself. If you're iffy about spending so much on a Miele, try visit a local vacuum store with mieles. They'll be happy to let you try them out and Miele dealers will always sell lower than online listed MSRP. You'll also hear firsthand how much quieter they are. Technically speaking, all bagless machines will be pretty loud bc they don't have much soft padding to capture the sounds (bag, nice filter). Cordless machines overall are very loud because their motors are smaller, spinning at a higher speed to generate similar pressure, and those tiny whirring things make a huge high pitched sound, characteristic of any Dyson machine (vacuum, hairdryer, hand dryer). Combine a cordless bagless and you have the absolute worst care scenario for sound dampening. Mieles recently upped their motor rpm while reducing size, but they tune their motors such that the majority of the sound falls above the frequency of our hearing. My cat doesn't seem to hate my Miele so clearly it's not that loud ultrasonic either. Checkout rtings.com for objective measurements but lemme tell you: we've been a Miele family for about 2 decades now. I bought my mom a Dyson v11 thinking it'll be great for the kitchen but she hates it! It's loud, clunky, weak (relatively: it cant rice grains from the corners) and it needs SOOOOO much brush roll maintenance omfg. Huge waste of money tbh. It's still hung in the kitchen but I think they only use it for vacuuming the stairs now (with the electro tool). The Miele canister is obviously better for our cars too. Nowadays, I think the avg active home only needs a bagged corded vacuum, and a robot. There's very little place for cordlesses imo ESPECIALLY as EVs now have power outlets that allow the use of a normal vacuum.. (I have one and my partner still uses it more than I do, but we wouldn't be in need without one. I only bought it bc I found it for a steal not because I wanted a cordless).
r/VacuumCleaners • Quiet vacuums? ->Can you elaborate what you mean by maintain? I’ve had my stick for a few years and it works ok, but I am completely ignorant about the maintenance.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->Thank you! I have literally not done any of these (other than overfilling, I always empty it after every use). I’ll start following your suggestions.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->I have a Dyson animal upright from around the same time. Maintenance is key. My kids swept up grated Romano cheese at one point. Turn the vacuum on smell was awful. Pulled and cleaned the filters, vacuumed up a box of baking soda and smell was gone.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I know vacuum fans/experts hate Dyson, but my Dyson has been working great and it actually makes me want go vacuum. I don’t like dragging a cord around. It’s easy to use, my kids can use it too, they love it and take turn to do it.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have the Dyson specifically for pets and it's great.
r/roughcollies • Vacuum suggestions? (the fur never ends) ->Sister has V10 and I have V11. Both have internal trigger broken as they use a really thin shitty plastic piece for the only part that actually gets used continuesly. Fortunately it's not too difficult to fix yourself, but the customer service made me want to give up on life snd most people would probably just buy a new one.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->I have a lower end Miele as my main vacuum and have had it for 10 years and it is like new... however I did supplement with a Dyson cordless for awhile and it went through a battery every year and I had to replace several broken plastic bits on the cannister.... also those make a mess when you try to empty them..... No cordless vacuums are BIFL.... HOWEVER we did get a Samsung Bespoke Jet cordless vac 2 years ago and I love that thing. Pricy for a cordless but it is way better quality than the Dyson and has a charging base that also contains a vacuum/bag that sucks the dirt out of it into a bag... so completely mess-less. It also has two batteries that can be swapped in seconds like a power tool. The second battery mounts to the dock in a second charger. It is also quieter than the Dyson and the Miele.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I love my stick Dyson! Works great on all types floors thru the whole house. Picks up pet hair & kids messes easily.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Get yourself a quality bagless stick vac. Super convenient to use, you'll find your house way cleaner because you'll use it way more often. Dyson would be my choice.
r/VacuumCleaners • What is the best vacuum to buy of these 3 options? ->I'm on year 5 or 6 of my Dyson... biggest complaint is the battery seems to not last as long... plenty of use with pets.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I got a V11. It chokes itself on anything bigger than a grain of sand. I can't tell you how many times I've had to disassemble the stupid thing to unclog it.
r/VacuumCleaners • Whatever you do - never buy a Dyson ->Dyson animal cordless great for the car and around the home. The only vac i have.
r/autorepair • What have you found to be the best portable solution for vacuuming your car? ->I found myself purchasing a new vacuum about every 2 years. Then I purchased a Dyson pet , and it was great. Had a 5-year warranty, and promptly lost suction at the 6-year mark. It was the best vacuum for the almost 6 years I had it. Now I have a Shark, an apartment vacuum because it is mostly for bare floors, but the cord is short. Have had it for 2 years now. I would take advice of the professional cleaner - the porta-vac.
r/CleaningTips • What is the Best Vacuum ->You want a bagged vacuum. I've had a Dyson, a Bissell, a Dyson knock off, the LG A9, the Miele Duoflex - all bagless and all very loud. My cats will scatter if I turn them on. My bagged Miele on the other hand... they don't even bother getting up from their naps.
r/VacuumCleaners • Quiet vacuums? ->I just asked about how often I’d be buying bags for a sebo with two high shedding large dogs, (similar probably too a gsd and 3 (if long hair cats) I would probably be replacing the bag every week. (Actually more than that because I didn’t tell people I also have 3 cats haha) Someone with a husky commented that they replace the bag 1.5-2 times a month. Calculating that cost for two dogs is another 210 a year in bags (probably more for me) I am taking that into account with replacing a vacuum that died (Dyson) but it doesn’t have a bag or a Sebo that has a 10 year warranty but I will have probably bought 2-3 dysons in that time period with the amount I’d be spending on bags. I haven’t decided yet 🙃 but thought I’d share the numbers.
r/VacuumCleaners • Need recommendations for a decent vacuum cleaner ->We tried Hoover, Dyson animal, and shark. The shark is 1/3 the price of the Dyson and does nearly as good a job. Search Google and Amazon for refurbished, same warranty and half the msrp price
r/germanshepherds • Vacuum Cleaner Recommendations ->We’ve had our cordless dyson for 5 years but it’s honestly not the best compared to a rainbow or other brands at this point in its life.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Vi har Dyson batteri til daglig bruk.
->I hate my cordless Dyson and had to use the warranty 3 times in the first year. My corded one is fine.
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->For the price, it makes sense to what's usually recommended here. The other I was looking at is 4 times the cost and heavier! I haven't decided yet, but my trusty old Dyson animal finally died and the repair failed, I really hope OP is steering me in the right direction. My poor Dyson. New ones are awful compared, the only thing I like about my cordless $500 Dyson is that it doesn't get stuck on rugs. I need the cord back!!!!
r/VacuumCleaners • Bought a Shark and it’s incredible!! ->I like the ones I’ve had a lot. My understanding is a lot of the other brands have good vacuums now. I stay with Dyson because I have all the attachments and I know they’ll keep working. You can get a very good Dyson v10 or 11 refurbished from eBay for like 300. Mine looked brand new and has been great c
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->YES. I hate vacuums. The noise is awful. My Dyson stick vacuum is tolerable- I can do a quick 5 -10 minute vacuum everyday. (Small house) Otherwise, I’d never vacuum.
r/homemaking • Are cordless vacuums worth it? Have 2 kids under 3 years old, 1 story house ->I have 3 dogs and 3 cats, we got a Dyson stick vacuum and it fucking rules. We have lvp floors and rugs and it's been great with both. I really like the head that has the laser on it, it shows you eeeevery hair and speck of dust so you don't miss anything. She pricey but she worth it
r/CatAdvice • Can someone recommend me some a good vacuum to buy that can actually handle my 3 cats hair?! ->Ignore the hate, I’m glad you found a great vacuum!! I personally have the V11 which doesn’t have the laser head and I tried a laser head but it doesn’t seem to be compatible sadly It looks so cool!! People in this sub are on Miele and Sebo type side which is fine that’s their opinion but I hate how people can be so harsh when you’re just trying to enjoy the machine you like for yourself, I’ve had both Sebo and Miele and they are great machines too but I still like Dyson
r/VacuumCleaners • Dyson gen 5 ->I get that some bagless vacuums are disgusting to empty but I’ve got 2 Sebo’s an I had a Miele (went in bin) however, they all absolutely stunk after 2 weeks, no pets or smokers and I used it lightly I would just replace the bag but the bag isn’t even half full so it seems like a waste. I did try Sebo fresheners, and some vac discs but non lasted for more than 3 uses before the bag smell came back, they all done it since new I just got a Dyson V11 and I kinda prefer it, I push down on the bin lever and the bin scrapes the dirt off the cyclone shroud and it all drops into the outside bin, leaving the bin clear of dust I haven’t gotten any smells yet obviously since it’s brand new but already I prefer the emptying system
r/VacuumCleaners • This is why I don’t miss having a corded bagless vacuum cleaner! ->I pull both Mieles and Dysons out of the trash. These days I only grab the cordless Dyso9ns, but in the past have done the upright models. They are usually work after cleaning up. Maybe half the cordless examples I get need a new battery.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I spent about two years dithering and then a month researching and got a Miele C3 to replace my falling-apart and LOUD Dyson Animal. It was a good choice. Quiet and no dust. I did remove all the carpeting in my house, but still need to vacuum up the cat tumbleweed under the bed and sofa, as well as the “welcome” mats inside the house where I leave my outdoor shoes.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I got Dyson and I love it. she does hard and soft floors, she’s light enough for cob webs, car cleaning, you can lower the suck so if you spill crumbs at night it’s quiet. you can get unbranded acsessories so I got alsorts of things to help clean cars, keyboards, I got clips for the tube to hold more nozzles, I got a big bendy tube so stairs is a breeze. the filters are washable, I got a load of unbranded so I can swap them out more often. any breakages you can buy most spare parts online which is super handy also you just twist the end and the rollerbar pops out which makes long hair cleaning so easy. I used to hate sitting on the floor with sicciors cutting hair off the bar. I don’t miss trailing cables or the bulk of the Hoover.
r/VacuumCleaners • Ive been trying to find a vacuum, I scoured the sub for hours. Conclusion? r/VacuumCleaners hate vacuum cleaners and apparently i should just buy a broom. ->my Dyson filter you just rinse and swap out. I like how easy it’s to pull apart and wash
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->Mine is way older than 5 years. Still manages to try and eat socks with alarming accuracy. I only had to change the battery out. I give her a blast of air and a good wash every few months and she’s running great. she deals with sand on a regular basis and cat and dog fur.
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->you can get third part add ons that let you use big drill batteries
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->honestally the third party battery add ons give you so much more, even swapping the battery out for a bigger one gives more juice
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->I got third party battery add on. I do bottom house, charge then upstairs. got third party filters so I can change and wash each time
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->Same fam. Dyson v11
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->In another life I was a Kirby service tech and I serviced machines on a number of occasions > 40-50 years old. At the time they had parts available for all machines. They ARE expensive (and the sales process leaves a lot to be desired) but are generally built like tanks. If there's a weak point, it's the fan. Even if it is Lexan, hard/heavy enough debris (eg bolts) can shatter the blades. The nice thing about the design is that instead of putting the bag inline with the fan, the bags fill from the top so it's able to maintain airflow. We have one (though it was a gift) but generally use our Dyson cordless day to day.
r/BuyItForLife • What’s the best corded vacuum of 2025??? ->Not really. I owned a corded one as well as the V11. I think Miele is far superior.
r/CleaningTips • Are Dyson vacuums worth it? ->Dyson batteries are low quality from what I've seen to begin with. Our v8 absolute that we bought years ago didn't make it two years before it'd last 5 minutes in low. Dad's v11 battery lasts about 10 minutes on a full charge on low after 2 years. I bought him an lg that has two batteries, as my lg despite it's flaws is 3 years old, and still holds a solid charge
r/VacuumCleaners • Thoughts on the Dyson V10 Animal+ for $400? ->Honestly as an ex appliance engineer, the cordless Dysons are great for use but terrible when something goes wrong. We used to just write them off if it was anything more than a blockage. Dyson are also very difficult to deal with to get parts etc.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I didn't mean consumer end I meant b2b they were difficult to deal with i.e. sourcing the parts for the customer and general support.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Dyson cordless , shark robot and Bisseli dry/wet corded vacuum…what I use for 1000sq with a Saint Bernard …I use Dyson and the robot daily and the bisseli weekly
r/Newfoundlander • Vacuum Recommendations? ->Yep, have a corded Dyson Animal upright from 2005 or 2006 and it still goes strong! Just take it apart and clean it 2x a year though. We got a cordless as a gift and it's great too, but the power doesn't last long as we have dogs and it automatically goes into high power.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I have a Miele canister and upright, they are great and I would recommend them to anyone. I also still have a Dyson Animal upright that I bought in 2003. I think keeping them going for the long term is in doing maintenance on them.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->A lot of others have responded to the question you asked me but here goes. Make sure you change bags and filters (some filters are washable) on a regular basis. Clean the roller as others have mentioned. These are easy things you should do often. Check the belt for the roller brush, they stretch and wear more than you would expect. On the Dyson I have I have rebuilt the clutch and changed the belts twice. Wash it! Take the hose off and spray some cleaner in it with some water. Then pick it up with an end in each and like a horseshoe. Move your arms up and down separately, right arm up means left down etc. Do this for just few minutes and drain it by holding one end high and letting the other down so all the junk will come out, trust me it can be gross looking. Next do it with water and see how it comes out, go until it drains clean. Hang it to dry as much as you can. If it is on a canister like a Miele reattach and put a towel in place of the bag then turn it on, this will help pull the water from the hose and the towel will absorb it before it gets to the motor. Clean the area where the bag goes with a cleaner of your choice and wipe it out with a towel. Clean all hose connections and seals that you can see. If you want to take it further then you can disassemble it and clean the area around the motor and the motor itself, don’t use water or a cleaner on the motor as this will accelerate it going bad. Most of the time you can just wipe them off as they will have a black soot on them. If you follow the steps above then your machine will last a long time.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->The Dyson animal is the same way, really hard to find any parts. I had a piece of the plastic handle break on the dust canister and while it didn’t affect the machine in how it worked I wanted it to look right and ended up buying the part on eBay.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I actually own six different vacuums. Yeah I heard that the Dyson is garbage for a long time but it still works and works better than most.
r/BuyItForLife • These are the most recommended vacuum cleaners on Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners VS others) as of Jan 2025 ->I have a dyson v11. Works perfect for the fur both on hardfloor and carpets
r/Rabbits • (Europe) Best cordless vacuum cleaner for 4 rabbits? ->I bought two dysons thinking they were the best. Canister vacuum motor burnt out right after the two year warranty. Stick vacuum battery died, which was fine to replace but still annoying. We’ve been limping along with just the stick vacuum for two years now brutal!
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->Shark cordless vacuum cleaners are not a type I would recommend. For the price, they have things about them that make them worse than a lot of the competition such as poor build quality and single cyclones. As for cordless, Dyson and LG, and sometimes Samsung, still make the leading mainstream ones in the United States. For Dyson, the V11 to current models are the best on carpet. The V8 is affordable, but lacks the run time and overall power to do a stellar job on carpet, at least in my opinion. Something such as the V15 smokes the heck out of a V8 and even a V10. Even the V12 is decent enough and good if you want something little and lightweight while still being powerful. r/VacuumCleaners • Best Cordless Stick Vacuum To Buy? ->Dyson stick vacuum cleaners are the easiest to use and the best design for domestic use IMO. I had a miele in the past, and dragging around a cleaner on little wheels and replacing bags is terrible: I don't care how long they last.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I think I’ve had my Dyson cordless for longer than five years. I had to replace the battery once. I was told if you are constantly using it on Max, it will go through batteries like candy.
r/VacuumCleaners • Never ever buy a Dyson vac. ->🧹 Broom.and mop are the best . I put a few drops of Clorox and a few drops of dawn to a bucket 🪣 full of warm water( 🧤 )😂 I have a cordless shark vacuum for over 8 years now and it works just fine I also have a cordless Dyson for the days that I don't feel like grabbing the dustpan We are really making our life harder with so many artifacts and I am guilty of that
r/VacuumCleaners • Alternatives to Dyson ->I have a lab and I use the Dyson v11. Cordless, light weight. Good for hardwood and carpet. It has a handheld attachment that I love for couches and the boost suction is great for carpets. I even roll over his dog bed and it gets so much out of the small fibers.
r/CleaningTips • Best Vacuum for Pets? ->I made the switch from a bagless upright Dyson and a stick Dyson to a Kenmore Pop N Go canister, based on the advice of this sub. I could not be happier. I have three shed monster Australian Shepherds that have killed several Dysons over the years. I am THRILLED not to have to stop and empty the Dyson every 5 minutes. Changing the bag on the Kenmore is a lot less messy than emptying the bin on the Dyson. I wish I bought a canister 20 years ago. The canister is much easier to use on the stairs. It works miracles on cleaning my blinds, which the Dyson was absolutely useless for. It actually gets my carpets clean, which the Dyson failed to do after about a year. Also, the Kenmore is a hell of a lot quieter than my Dyson.
r/VacuumCleaners • Why Are Bagged Vacuums Making a Comeback? ->I’m surprised to see you say Dyson is difficult for parts. I’ve been buying their cordless vacs for 10+ years and any time I need a part they either overnight for free or they charge a fair price.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I’ve only had 2 over the 10+ years. Someone broke my first one and then I replaced it with a newer model.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->Tenho um v11 há 3 anos, aspiro diariamente e não tenho nada a apontar. Carrego a 1 a 2 x por semana. A minha casa tem 90 m^2, 3 tapetes grandes e sofá. Tenho 1 gato. Se a bateria der problemas compro uma nova por 100 paus. Já tive 5 ou 6 aspiradores antes deste e foi um salto qualitativo.
r/CasualPT • Aspiradores para pessoal com animais em casa ->I have a cordless dyson for 7 years. The battery crapped out halfway through but the batteries for powertools(which we have) also fits. So we use those. Now I dont know if the original battery is shit or not because I dropped the vacuum mulitple times so that might be my fault. But hey after dropping it so many times, it still works!!
r/VacuumCleaners • DO NOT BUY A DYSON (I wish someone had told me this) ->That’s why I don’t understand the hate. I had to replace a seal because I tried pulling the old one out using a knife like a dipshit to clean it and cut it. Called Dyson and they sent me one free of charge despite it being my fault. I think I spent $400 on my V11 which broke down to a yearly cost of $80 so far and it’s still going strong. Why would I waste money on one of the other suggested brands that do the same thing? If I followed Reddit’s advice, I’d be spending $2000 on a canister vac I’d have to lug up and down the stairs.
r/BuyItForLife • I analyzed the 25 most recommended vacuum cleaners on reddit ->I love my Dyson. Works well, I’ve had it for 4 years and have done zero maintenance to it. Sleek and easy to use. Mine is cordless and I find I use it more often because it’s easy to just whip out and then put it away. Is it the most powerful vacuum? Probably not, but I don’t need that. I have a cleaning service that comes by biweekly. I’m more about convenience and spot cleaning when needed. They have sales often so definitely keep checking for one so you don’t have to pay full price.
